  1. did you guys get an email reciept? I filled it all in and sent it off, but have had no reply on the email so far
  2. mine went at about 95k, just after I took ownership of it. Cost £650 at lexus to fix it (before I got into LOC), £350 for the clutch and £300 labour. Wish I had got an uprated one as they are the same price
  3. agreed, get on the optimax bus. You pay a little more at the pump but you get better milage and performance
  4. This is exactly what happened to mine. Bearing in tensioner pulley knacked and belt rubbing on front of cover. belt chipped all down one edge. new belt - £20, new tensioner pulley - £40ish. my car had just done 100k. Very relieved.
  5. After blagging my mate to buy my headunit, I now definately want a set. Please add me to the list. Cheers Jim
  6. I am very intrested, need to have a look at getting the cash together first. will post back and let you know in the next week Cheers
  7. you didn't say wether they were new wipers/blades or not. I clean mine with white spirit/meths (whatever is to hand) then rain x it and it's great. If you've not got new wipers or have got new blades get new wipers. I find replacement blades aren't very good
  8. got a price for the pollen filter today: £28 from lexus stockport. It's rediculous for such a thin bit of a filter. will be getting one on my 100k service shortly soon so I left it
  9. cheers for your answers. fluff - its still on leads. all the plugs were old and covered in carbon but just the end one was completely covered in oil, tread and all. have put new plugs in and have dropped it off for its mot. will ask my mechanic to check it out for me tonight
  10. doing a quick service on the girlfriends car today (ford fiesta 1.25 zetec S) new air filter, sparks etc.. When I removed the spark plugs, one of them was covered in oil. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the engine? Cheers Jim
  11. let us know when you get them in alex
  12. I watched it as well, the girlfriend just turned to me and siad "not a chance". Looks like I'll have to save up in secret then
  13. looks very nice. always wondered what that blanking switch plate was for
  14. I'm intrested in one of these, they still going? Have sent you a pm alex
  15. good to meet all you guys, hopefully see you at the next meet. should have a bit more done to me motor by then an'all
  16. looks like i managed to avoid the camera's, thankfully. Apologies for having the dirtiest car there, I really didn't have any time to clean it and I spent half an hour coming off at various junctions looking for a jet wash but to no avail
  17. sounds cool to me too. I'll bring me appetite
  18. I was going to but as all my mates have been trying and have had no luck it don't look like its going to happen. load of c*** really
  19. if its in warrenty just take it back to the dealer, otherwise I'd suggest taking off the door panel and having a look round the door handle area for anything loose. To take off the door panel, there are two screws, one down the handle in the arm rest and one behind the door opening handle (behind a lttle flap). Take these out and pull the cover off from the bottom.
  20. don't bp or someone else do a 98 ron as well?
  21. who said that? they must be on comission. optimax is superunleaded with a few extra additives I think
  22. I would do, its the best thing since sliced bread :D Think I'm coming down now, coming from the manc so best going down m6 so will miss you northern, northern lot but maybe meet up with chris shipley and andy freeman? you guys still going down? if so what time are you meeting and where?
  23. ordered some stuff from lextasy a while ago and it still hasen't come. been on the track & trace thing at the usps.gov site and aparently they'v tried to deliver it twice but on one of the days I was in all day anyway and nothing has been put throught the door to say they've been. I've also been down the local sorting office and they've not got owt there either. I've email lexatsy for them to sort it out. Anyone else had problems like this?
  24. from what I've heard, when I get some myself, I'd definately use silicone. it can be removed and definately keep them on. I think a few members have lost theirs because they taped them on and came off at high speed
