  1. The creaking noise wasn't there today, but I did get it on the ramp at my brothers garage and could see the lower ball joint has grease locking from it
  2. Yes it is the ball joint, Ibe just ordered a new one from lexus dealers
  3. That's the thing, it started happening today, it started making a creaking sound when I did a turn and when went over a bump, so I parked up to go into a shop, came back, started driving it, and it wasnt creaking , then later in the day, it started creaking again, then a few mins later it stopped
  4. Hiya How can you tell if the lower arms are faulty? Do they make a certain noise, do the ball joints leak?? Thanks in advance Oh and it's a 2000 X reg ls400
  5. The ls430 is a nice car, I've had 2, but my ls400 is more reliable, the battery on mine doesn't go flat if I leave it standing for 3 or 4 weeks, like Adam said ls430 aswell as having air suspension and compressor issues, it also has the vsv issue, rear doors jamming shut so they won't open, cd player stops working, rear subwoofer cone tears apart, vsc sensor issues on the rear, Windows clouding up, I can't think of anything else at this stage
  6. I had a golf that my brother put remote start on, but you couldn't drive it off without the key being in the ignition which was a good thing
  7. But you still have to get into the car to switch the air con on so I don't see any point in having remote start
  8. Got mine re gassed yesterday at 670 ml and within a min it's ice cold
  9. Yes he is a very dodgy trader, we don't trust him, so it's entirely up to you, the car has been on sale for some time and he has dropped the price on it, it was £2000
  10. This is the seller that was selling the red ls430 I went to go and see for a member on here, he made out in his ad car was mint etc, but he didn't mention it had 9 owners and the car was tatty, some of the panels were a different shade to the rest of the car, I'm sure this is the same seller
  11. I've seen that on auto trader, it's exactly the same colour as mine and condition too
  12. No way is that worth £4480. I had a 99 mk4 with 39000 miles that I sold for £3000, my mates got a mk3 with 48000 miles on it that he bought for £1500
  13. Hi guys Hope someone can help. Currently I drive an x reg lpg converted ls400, which has been a great car, but I'm also now looking at the gs430. My questions are, what do they drive like? Are they as smooth as the ls400, what are the common faults? Thanks in advance
  14. Oh one thing that isn't mentioned that is also a fault on the ls430, the petrol tank will also need replacing at some stage due to a hole in the petrol tank, apparently it starts with rust first, CD player also a fault, air suspension compressor and sensors, rear doors jamming close and won't open, front door slightly drop for some reason, rust on the front doors, vsv valve failure, and I think the rest has been mentioned
  15. There were some brand new black oem ls430 mats on eBay last week, went for £35, they were still wrapped in the plastics
