I know baz, he is a very nice guy but can't seem to make up his mind which lexus he likes, I remember he doesn't like the ls430 because it has so many issues and prefers the ls400, yet he bought 2 ls430's and is now looking for another one, but I think he's asking too much for the ls400 he's selling now, it might be mint etc but I remember buting my last ls400 which was an X reg with only 101000 miles for £1950 -

Ls400 doesn't have air suspension unless it's a celsior -
Eh? If they are not traders, how come they have a showroom full of cars that they sell? In my book, that's classed as being traders

I enquired about this car just for the fun of it, i was told the cambelt hasn't been replaced and they will be replacing it themselves. Thing is they are traders, and I don trust traders when they say they are going to be replacing the cambelt, I mean will they replace it, if so, will they be using genuine lexus parts??

Hi I do know that on the Gs430 and Ls430 fluids for some reason gets into the gearbox, causing gearbox failure. Don't ask me how it gets in there, but it does happen on the vehicles I've mentioned

I was just about to say, for the price he's asking you could get a lovely ls430. I had a 99 T reg ls400 with 39000 miles on it that I sold for £3000, which I thought was a good price.

It's funny, I was reading his ad recently and in it he states he's had lexus with over 300000 miles on it, and it still drove like a new car, thing i dont understand is he's a trader so how come the lexus's hes sold have never had over 300000 milex on it? Answer, he's clocked them back or he was driving them backwards

Like malc said, and be very very careful if you are interested or tempted to buy a car of that guy, he is a trader, do the checks on the vehicle, an example he sold a greenish ls430 a couple of weeks ago, he must have been driving it backwards because the milage had come down from 180000 to 160000.

Why don't you want to get the parts from lexus dealers? They ain't that expensive. You'll be suprised.

But there is another risk on the ls430, the gearboxes are prone to fail. This is due to I think the power steering fluid leaking into it or is it the coolant, well it's one of the fluids anyway, also the mark Kevin son cd player has issues oh and vsv sensor. But apart from that they are nice cars

It could have either springs or air suspension. Best way you will know this is if the steering wheel has no wood on it, then it has no air suspension, also if it doesn't have the premium pack then it doesn't have air suspension,

HI Nice looking car. From what I know most of the time the eml is on due to a faulty vsv on the ls430. Part is £59, labour is around £600 as it's a 4 hour job to do

Just a quick question, I have a mk3 gs300, and wamtex to know does the window lock switch on drivers door illimunate?

Hi Hope someone can help. One of the little bulbs has blown in the drivers side door lock switch. How do I replace it, do I need to take the whole door card off?? Thanks in advance

With bmw and audi even if you change the gear box oil, they still fail. They use the zf gearbox which are rubbish. Sometimes all they need is an ecu update. It's a well known fault on the Bmw and Audi.
