  1. Picts from my phone 3 days ago This is Feb 2013 I think:
  2. I think you might find you are the car novice here. You rely on the Internet to feed you your info rather than actually having any experience. Accords ARE family cars. Four doors and saloon shape is a minor giveaway.............. Even Golfs have DW suspension. Have you ever taken a car apart Knobbly? Guess not.. Explain to me why YOU think certain car manufacturers opt to use DWS? I cannot believe the lack of mechanicle knowledge you have after trying to bluff everyone on here out.
  3. Yep. He must be comparing the IS300 handling to a MKI Supra as if he'd driven a MKIV he wouldn't come up with this silliness...
  4. VW Golf? Still not handle like a Supra! Just out of interest. How many Supra's have you been in and how many have you driven?
  5. Oh dear.... give me a minute. Honda Accord?
  6. 1. It is a small family car 2. It does NOT handle like a Supra
  7. I don't need to take this serious now do I?
  8. Same as my E39 that's on the drive... Just looked out the window and it has just turned into a Discovery...... Just like that
  9. Do you get your drugs on prescription? I'm trying to cook kids tea here but I can't stop laughing. You should go on telly..
  10. You need to pack it in Karl.... I've just opened a beer.....
  11. ^^ I'm being very careful now when I take a sip.. especially after reading Knobbies sig..... 4 door Supra........ because it shares some of the bits of the engine block Just got my misses a C180 last week. The window buttons are the same as in a McLaren SLR so we now call it an SLR. Off to get some badges of the bay.......
  12. I don't know but we might need to make it a two dayer to fit all the BS in....... I will try my hardest to drop in on the way back from the airport just to have a laugh.
  13. Thank you Petay. the 3litre will struggle to shift that almost 2 ton weight of the LS I would 'shift' it without any problem actually. It's not a nearly 2-ton car. It's just over 1700. To put this in respective as you love you're BM's Noddy, the E38 7-Series (which we agree is equivalent to an LS) weighs 5 kilo more and 'shifts' fine with a 2.8 litre engine and fuel consumption is much better than the 4.0 and 4.4.
  14. Never a straight answer eh... I wouldn't buy another 4.4 or 4.0 anyway. If the LS was available in a 3 litre then I would definitely have one. Economy is bad and there's no point wasting money on extra fuel. It wasn't a statement merely suggesting that Lexus was the more luxurious side of Toyota and people expect more from one compared to a Toyota. It was build as a luxury middle class saloon actually. You're digging yourself a hole again...
  15. You don't read! You misread threads and then go all defensive for no reason. 1. You seem to have read somewhere that I mark the Toyota brand down? I do not. In fact I really like Toyota and it's reliability hence having one on my drive since 2006!! Please read my posts correctly. 2. If I want a car with a smaller engine doesn't mean I can't afford one with a bigger engine. I've had a 4.4 740 and RR in the past. 3. You base your opinion on one low end BMW you've owned in the past. I wouldn't like to own a pre-facelift 520 either! 4. I have answered all your questions and asked you some questions in post 221 of which you haven't answered any off. You go round in circles or change the subject to something you think you know about. 5. Most posts have been constructive in this thread until you are trying to argue points that aren't even relevant. I tried to keep it on topic but you start blabbing on about your IS will be outrunning this that and other. Please read posts carefully before filling a post with some random text that comes into your head.
  16. You have not even read my last post properly have you? To come back with ramblings like this. It's like talking to a brick wall mate. Don't you see it?
  17. Because I wanted to try an IS200. What was it build for then. Isn't the Lexus a top of the range Toyota? And yes I would buy an LS if they came with a smaller engine like a 3 litre or a 2.5 Can you back this 'fact' up or is this on your personal experience again? Why does this thread need to be locked? It's you that instigated it all and throwing a strop like a 12 year old whenever a different make car is mentioned. If I buy a 6 litre V12 tomorrow yours would probably still outperform it in your little world....
  18. Not seen one yet. Just looked on their website. 60K Nice looking thing but a lot of money. M6 99K
  19. I think it's because it's a Sport. Also coming from a diesel to a petrol, auto to manual ad the sheer size difference doesn't make it better. The board computer is probably the thing I miss most. And the memory seats, steering wheel and mirrors for when the misses has been driving it. Not swapping cars yet as I've only had it 3 months and finding a low mileage late Individual takes time. Love E38's and E39's but not going the 7-Series route again.. Done the E39 Touring bit so it'll have to be a Saloon. Not liking the E60/61 tat Yeah i can totally imagine. The IS has the potential of feeling cramped for sure. Its a very small car at the end of the day. Ive parked next to hatchbacks and realised this! but always loved saloon styling... and yeah like i said ive always had a soft spot for the E39s but it stops there for me too lol. I would love to own a E24 6 series too, beautiful styling and ahead of its time in its day... Totally agree. The IS200 is one nice looking thing! That's why I bought one. You need deeeeep pockets for an E24 though... and a good welding machine.. I'd love to own an E9 but wouldn't be able to afford one or maintain one. I don't think they've made anything after the E39 that really interests me. They've been swallowed by the big blob of all car makes look alike.
  20. So you like blue cars then Can you tell I like blue cars then.......

  22. Not really Chris. I have tried my best but just don't get along with the thing. It is a lot of fun in the snow I must say. A LOT of fun I might say... It's just too small and uncomfy and no toys. Misses likes it quite a bit so might keep it as a fun car as I've just bought her a grown up car (kind of) the little Merc in the middle. Knobby will be along soon enough saying BMWs are ******* and his invincible IS is better.... That's fair enough Ray. I've always liked the 5 series. I'd love an M5 one day..... Keep it if your misses likes it :) Anyway it's not snowing here  I'm not bothered getting an M5. Especially the maintenance costs Trying to find a nice late '03/'53 525d or 530d SE Individual.
  23. Nearly took the front bumper bits off this morning snow ploughing at speed.....
