  1. IF it showed 147MPH on your clocks it'd still be about 10odd miles less unless Gobby and Sly have tampered with your speedometer.... OR it's a calibrated unit which I doubt as IS200/300's were not used as med cars? 150MPH is fast but not something to brag about IMO... Not for me to say anything about spelling being Dutch and all that but it's getting on my ! Please use the word 'their' Nobby.
  2. I had less than half that a couple of weeks ago...
  3. Seems a lot of money? What's the thing where the tray/NAV usually sits?
  4. Oh dear.... Bad news mate. It might work out cheaper getting a second hand door rather than having tis one repaired and painted. Very lucky it didn't take out the rear door.
  5. I take it this was done on your private runway/circuit?
  6. What I'm saying is that it's a dinky either 2 or 3 litre 6-pot lump that isn't overly impressive in it's current form. My 525 diesel isn't much slower than this and is auto (read turbo lag and auto lag)
  7. Sorry.... The IS is not a fast car unless turbo'd, supercharged etc. Nobby, get yourself a V8 or V12 car bought and then return to the dinky L6 and you'll see the difference..
  8. No, just park up and run into the pub. It's probably raining anyway...
  9. I'll see you there then! I'm just trying a few pubs up there to see who does good food. Gary (Alpinaman) lives up there so he should be able to assist.
  10. Might be a job to do in father in laws garage then....
  11. I watch that with the kids before I drop them off in the morning......
  12. Gary is coming in a Z4M and Simon in a 330 so it's not all 5's anymore. Usually is feckin' cold anyway so we just go in for some food and a beer and talk crap...
  13. Cheers Mr. Normski, Chris and Lance. I'll get this sorted over the weekend and report back B)
  14. I'm setting up another BMW meet in the peak soon if you want to pop round for a beer? It'll be nearer to you and you'll not be the only one in a Lexus then...
  15. Usually the rear window clears after a few power slides No chance of seeing Nobby driving round here on plastic tyres....
  16. If you fancy a bit of a D-Tour pop round for a brew on your way back. I'm 10 mins from Sheffield. You can cut straight back over Snake Pass.
  17. Oh, just remembered..... They actually closed the school my five year old goes to because of the snow a couple of weeks ago. That was the same day when I took this picture to show winter tyres DO work.
  18. Top one is this morning Karl, Other two last year. That's the E39 buried...
  19. I have a set of snow chain but apparently you get fined using them in the UK as the roads are made out of chocolate? I was actually getting quite frustrated this morning with the amount of 'idiots' stranded, driven into each other and generally being c***ts. They should introduce some additional driving tests or start taking people off the road! If you can't drive, don't drive. If you can't drive faster than 20MPH with a bit of snow, don't drive If you think you need to come to a complete standstill because you're approaching a corner, don't drive. Catch the public nanny state bus!!! It seems that everything can and will be blamed on somebody else, something else and especially the weather. We are laughed at by half of Europe. Yes, we are!
  20. They were done 3K ago but more than 14 months ago. Would they make the difference? Never had this before. Seems fine when it get a little warm. Not opened the bonnet on this thing yet. I'll have a look tomorrow and check.
  21. My steering is rather ropey/clunky when the engine is cold. It's fine when it's warmed up though. Any bright ideas? It feels like it's skipping the PAS every other second if that makes sense
  22. It has all started again.... A few weeks back playing in the snow resulted in 168 miles on a FULL tank Noby, it did tell you before. That's not 'snow' in your pictures. That's just a tiny dusting what my grandma wouldn't even slip on.... This is what snow looks like... And the day after.....
  23. Panels AND subframes rust and rot pretty badly prematurely.
