Not too far off what I have got for last 20,000 miles. Currently total average is 53mpg on computer. I mainly use for journeys over 35 miles at a time and not too much local work. I know if I am off work and just using for local trips the average on each tankful is around 48mpg, so don't worry too much.

They may be clever enough to work out how to get in, but wouldn't have a clue how to drive it away, took mine to Quick Fit the other day to have a tyre check and they came back and asked me to put it on the ramp!

Aren't they bright enough already? even when just switched to sidelights I think they are brighter then some cars DRL's on normal mode I think they are some of the brightest out there.

I've had my car for over a year now and been annoyed driving at night with the brightness of the Sat Nav, so much I often closed the display screen down. Never knew about the dimmer switch and moving it past the 'click' . Just tried it tonight - what a difference thank you!

I haven't found any issues with reception until I went on holiday to Yorkshire Dales and finding anything other than main BBC was a bit patchy. Not sure that I can really notice any difference in sound quality though. The Lexus unit is better at reception though than the Sony unit fitted in our New C-Max. If it was an option, don't think I would pay for it unless I was keeping my car after the analogue system goes off.

Don't often get chance to watch F1 on TV but just been amazed at the pit crew working on one of the cars warring thick rubber gloves and even have a big rubber pole to pull people off the car in case the get electrocuted.! might put a few people off buying a hybrid if they don't know much. having said that I've never looked in at the Workshop at my Lexus dealer - perhaps that's how they are kitted out in there as well!!

I use two wipes on the drivers seat , finish off with using them on the steering wheel, then a quick dry off with a microfibre. I also use on my other cars as well. These are highly recommended on Detailing forums. I wear Denim jeans in the car 2-3 times a week as well and never had any dye transfer.

Solution for light leather is a pack of Dr Leather wipes, leave an as new finish time after time. I have used them on my Ivory leather every two weeks for last 12 months and after 20,000 miles the front seats look just like the rears which have hardly ever been sat in.

Dealers in the UK have to keep demo cars on the books for three months for tax advantages and I think benefits from the Manufacturers. A friend is a Manager at Ford Dealership and he often orders his cars spec'd up ready for someone to take delivery in three months time. They (Ford) also insist that the car is sold within nine months else they have to pay more for it, I know this when my friend said that a nearby dealer had an S-Max with an unusual spec (but exactly what we wanted) with just 79 miles on the clock approaching its 9 month date the next week. He told us to go and offer a really silly price and see what they said - result an almost brand new S-Max fir £12,250 - nearly 40% off list.!

The dealer has to register the car, so they tax it at the same time for you just as before.

There are a few classic car owners now that are getting replicas of their cars first tax disc and displaying hat now. Very retro. - think I might even have mine from 31 yrs ago somewhere to put back on my Golf.

Not sure what has changed from 2013 to 2014 model year, but this us how it works on a 2013. If you get your DAB screen up- the one where you say you have about 6 random stations on. Then you should have two keys to press Ch+. And Ch- If you click on these, it moves through other available stations in Grouos. Eg you will find one Ch section with BBC main stations, another local independents etc. when you have found the stations you want you can select eg BBC radio 2 then there is a button to store or favourites - can't quite remember but it was obvious.

I wonder if because you were travelling mainly on battery for the last part, you did not have any charge left in the battery and it's clever enough to think that it will be using more fuel for a while as the batteries won't be giving their input? My mpg is about 3% out some of that error rate can also be down to speedometer calibration, if that is the same feed as the mileage recorder mine is 5% out, so if that inputs into the mpg figure could affect the overall reading of MPG?

This is one of my other cars, about as far away from the CT as I can get. I've had it 26 yrs and the only electronic gadget is the digital clock! Makes me smile when I get it out of the garage as I move the CT out of the way in EV mode so as not to wake the neighbours if I am off to a show early, and then start the Golf up with its custom stainless exhaust and wake up the people in the next village!

Yep, same on mine which has the Smart Locking. The one feature when I ordered my CT. that I thought I would not like but now would not do without it. Our C-Max has 'keyless go" but it's so frustrating as you have to use the remote to lock and unlock the car.

Unless it's changed for 2014, you do have to touch the door handle to lock - there should be a small rectangle mark on the handle top for you to touch, if it has changed to auto lock as you move away I would hate that I like to decide when it locks. I valeted a friends Renault that had the auto lock/unlock when you moved away - it must have gone through the routine 20 times as I cleaned it and kept moving away to get hose, buckets etc.

Doesn't look too badly damaged to be fair - wonder why it was written off?

Yes got this done before I took delivery - had a demonstrator for a couple of hours and that feature drove me mad, sounded like the parking sensors going off, very confusing.

Thought I knew all the features on my car but missed this one. Abbo07, mines a 2013 model but works just the same thanks, apart from tacho going off once cruise control is switched on. Also found you can adjust the brightness of the red and blue backgrounds - not seen what difference that bit makes yet.

How do you get it to be on all the time?

It's interesting the divided opinion that the CT raises. I like mine very much, even the noise from the engine doesn't bother me. Must agree with the road/wind noise though. A few months ago when my CT went in for a service I got the opposite - a brand new RX450h, and was quite excited as we had been considering a 400h for to replace my wife's S-Max. I must say, not even taking into account this was a 50k car, I was bitterly disappointed. The ride was very crashy , the handling 'wallows' and by far the most disappointing feature was the number of rattles in the cabin - the front and rear seats could be seen to vibrate as you went along. Went out and bought another new Ford. Please don't take this as a 'tit for tat' bad review just because someone has attacked the CT - Raayans must like his RX as much as I like my CT, good job there are so many different cars out there to satisfy us all!

Also confirmed that they put more paint on the Lexus, used a Paint gauge on mine recently and averages 180 microns, new Auris belonging to friend only 110 microns.

All I can hear on mine is the Traffic News -nothing visual. I have the Premium Nav, and to be honest most of time have the display showing Nav and Energy Moinor rather than Nav and Audio.
