I have an annoying buzzy rattle fof quite a while, comes and goes. Eventually while out one day my wife tracked it down to the shelf in the glove box. Pulled it out, nothing since. Simples.

Retired, only short journeys, no Motorway and I get the high 47’s. 16;200 miles since May 2015. Only reset the average once in over 3 years and that was 10 months ago when I had 12v battery issues. Since February it had been 47.5 to 48 (for a short time) The last 10 days since the cold weather it has gone from 47.7 to 47.0 All in ECO mode as I find this softer and smoother than Normal. I have tried Sport a few times but it’s too much for me, maybe 30 years ago, but not now.

Loved it. Wish they would not use the sport all the time. It’s just the two of us oldies now so getting in and out is a big improvement. Not much leg room in the back but we only have to bring the seats forward a bit. Apart from grandchildren the back seat on my IS is never used. The boot floor is high with lots of space underneath the floor. Plenty for us, but some people may be put off by that. Electronic hand brake with a button by the radio controls, that’s a first for me. This car had the red leather which was nice but that meant it had black roof lining which made it very dark inside. I am having Rich Cream with a similar roof lining. Ordering the White with the Premium Plus pack. All the controls look very nice, I am sure the touch pad will take some getting used to. The 10” info screen looks very good. Should have a delivery date soon. I am expecting 2nd half of March. Just over 1 year since my deposit.

Mate, with all due respect you have been reading to many car magazines. Lexus and other car manufacterers spend millions setting their cars up for optimum performance, comfort and fuel economy. 3lbs extra in your tyres is not going to make any difference. Make sure your low pressure censors are set while at 36psi and forget about tyre pressures. My tyres have been checked yearly (I hope) by Lexus on the service.

The Lexus UX will be in Bristol centre on November 16th for 7 days. It’s a Lexus UK event not the local dealership.

A touch below half way is the normal position for the water temperature. Do not keep looking at it, enjoy it’s a great car. I have had mine 3.5 years and although it’s low mileage the only fluid of any kind I have put in it is screenwash. If it’s on its original 12v battery put a new one in for piece of mind. I am selling mine in 2 months if anybody interested.

What does double locking give you. First I have heard of it.

By the time your fob and house keys are in the pouch it’s not oversize. Make sure you put the keys in the back section as that’s the protection part of the pouch.

Blocking pouch for me as well. They work, as I have stood next to the car with the pouch and the car will not open. Get 2, do not forget your spare key. You will soon get in the habit of putting your keys in it as soon as you come in the house. UK dealer launch 9th October in Portugal.

I love my IS300h because it has good mpg but still drives like a normal car. I recently test drove the small electric BMW out of curiosity. Did not like it at all, no character, no feeling, the braking when you come off the accelerator pedal was annoying. I summed it up to the salesman as “bland”, a box to get from A to B. I accept all the environmental reasons but I am old enough not be concerned that one day all cars will be electric. So it’s still a Hybrid for me. 7 months this since putting down my deposit on my UX, 5 months to go. Will try to sell my 15,000 mile 2015 IS in December as I do not need a car in early 2019.

The dealer launch is October in Lisbon.
