  1. To sum up then, absolute comfort, spacious serenity- until you floor it!
  2. Wonderful stuff it certainly is, and if you only have one spray can, that would be the one to have. But a spray can of silicone lubricant is also very handy, if you don't particularly want Water Dispersal, and you do want to lubricate something long term, I know from use that WD40 is not a good long term lubricant, excellent though it is at freeing stuff up. It's a brilliant multi-tool on a tin, there are better lubricants and penetrants (is that a word?) but you end up with a shelf full of cans
  3. Well done, was it easy? Last week I had to change the height of one of my headlight low beams. I looked at a couple of forums and the info they gave was enough to make me want to take it to a garage. It actually took me no more than 10 seconds! Lexus would probably have insisted you replaced the whole headlight unit :) "But they do come pre aligned Sir" Actually, the headlight come as a pair , Sir
  4. On my 400 I have it on top of the dash at the far right, touching the door pillar. The control box is under the drivers seat, which is where the amp. is The remote is next to the shift lever, easy to reach You can play music via bluetooth, sounds fine, or you can use the 3.5 jack, or the iphone connector (not very useful if you have an android phone) I think I had it playing music of a USB stick too. My car came with a PARROT MKi9100, which died, and I replaced it with the PARROT MKi9200, as its the same wiring loom apart from the bigger display, so easy upgrade
  5. I refurbed my mk1 burgundy ls400 wheels a darker gunmetal colour, I liked it.
  6. PARROT MKi9200 its pretty good, I have it paired with 2 phones, it's sometimes a bit glitchy, at the moment the remote seems to have un-synced itself, but it's a good system, good handsfree kit, linked to the car speakers, mutes the radio
  7. My ls400 came with a Parrot phone system, which also has bluetooth music playing abilities, plus various phone connectors
  8. My first ls400 was a MK2 in burgundy, which I really liked, but decided I wanted green for its replacement, snapped this Mk4 with LPG off Ebay soon as I saw it, couldn't be happier with it
  9. Mine is a 98 and both of mine dip. Mike Mine is also a 98 and only one dips!
  10. Some of the cheaper batteries are very poor, try a good brand?
  11. i'm surprised the CJC device does not have a left /right setting, we gentlemen can dress on either side, perhaps one's Lexus Dealer can change some computer setting somewhere?
  12. The symptoms are consistent with bad caps in the engine ECU, Both Rudd and I noticed smoother shifting after doing ours, Although 2003 seems very early for them to be going. Transmission specialist, I think. It's not a Toyota box.
  13. 2 years to discover I could automatically dip the nearside mirror when reversing
  14. You could try silicone spray, poking the tube past the catch mechanism if possible, some might get to the right internal bit, shouldn't cause any harm
  15. I think no-ones replied because your probably spot on, sounds like filter, pump, or the fuel line (perhaps check for a forgotten clamp on the fuel pipe...:) Awesome looking car
  16. The only reports mentioned here of cam belt failure is due to the water pump seizing- I would get that done, with the idlers and tensioner, as well. In fact, if I had to chose, I would have a new water pump with the old cam belt, rather than a new belt and old pump!
  17. I have a USB ciggy lighter adapter to charge my phone plugged into one of the back door sockets, with a USB extension lead and cable to reach the front, keeps the front of the car neat with the ashtray closed
