  1. Just been on Quidco and and compare the market, Admiral, Elephant, Diamond and Ford Insure have all now appeared given quotes ar £600 - 650 for an LBX Takumi Design, still about £50 more than my current NX350h, but less than the £870 quoted by Lexus insurance a few days back. With Quidco, also £45 cashback on offer.
  2. Reply from Lexus Customer Relations received states:- We have requested information from an internal department who have advised that the LBX has been counter measured against CanBus theft. Most Lexus vehicles have the latest electrical platform that prevents CanBus theft. Other security measures that the LBX features includes: Alarm/anti-theft (with siren and two sensors) Engine immobiliser Two motion door lock VIN Etching Locking wheel nuts (Thatcham approved)
  3. I have asked Lexus customer relations about CANBUS thefts/security on the LBX, got a message back that they have requested information from an internal team, and they will get back in touch as soon as they have a reply.
  4. From previous post I have had the door freeze issue on my 2022 NX350h, on annual service in September I asked the service department about any solutions, and there is:- ref Bulletin BE-00971L-TME Parts were ordered, and I have had 4 new door handles fitted - so far all OK
  5. I have had the door freeze issue on my 2022 NX350h, on annual service in September I asked the service department about any solutions, and there is:- ref Bulletin BE-00971L-TME Parts were ordered, and I have just had 4 new door handles fitted - hopefully problem sorted ready for the winter!
  6. As Hayzee listed above (follow the Link in the post) there is motion detection built into key fobs. I closed and locked the NX, and put the key on the floor by the drivers door while I checked my tyre pressures. Around 5 minutes later I tried to open the door and it remained locked, moved the key on the floor slightly with my foot and door would then open. Looks like if the key (or keys) remain stationary for a few minutes they go to sleep and stop transmitting, hopefully preventing any relay thefts. Don’t keep my keys in my pocket when indoors so it will be stationary. My wife carries the 2nd key in her bag but it is deactivated so hopefully there is no transmissions from either key, so for me one less worry on how the NX could be stolen. Model is NX350h Premium pack , delivered in September 2022 manufactured around June 2022 - be interesting to see if it’s standard on all NX’s or just those after a certain build date.
  7. Had it one month (after 9 month delivery wait). Much improved performance compared to my previous NX300h Premium Sport; averaging 46 mpg after 800 miles mostly on 13 mile journeys to / from work. No sequential indicators or cornering lights which I don’t miss. Auto heating for front seats and steering wheel are very good. New infotainment very good as well, smaller display is fast, clear and plenty big enough for me, couple of hiccups with profile not loading message, but seems to have settled down. Software has updated itself twice since I have had it, once in the showroom when I picked it up and about a week ago. About the only thing I miss is electric seats, but the ones fitted are comfortable anyway. Very pleased, an excellent upgrade in my view
  8. I have NX 350h with Premium pack, they are fitted with reversing camera including guidelines - also front and rear parking sensors 🙂
  9. My 350h Premium pack was ordered 23/12/21 then modified a few days later (Decided to change paint from blue to sonic grey), have now collected it from dealer ( Lexus Coventry) on 10th September; very strange on the varying build / delivery times.
  10. My 350h with Premium Pack ordered last week of December showed left factory on 23rd July, and is due in September for collection according to dealer
  11. Just Fitted (2 weeks ago a Toyota battery 2880 YZZZJ as a direct replacement for the Panasonic battery in my sons recently acquired 2014 GS450h. Actually ordered 2880 YZZJA - recommended in another forum post in this forum but I think that has know been superce3ded. Dropped in and fitted with no problems; width OK the hold down bracket went over as well :
  12. I too ordered NX 350h with premium pack just before January price increase, to keep price just below£40k. I have been told by dealer, and after contacting Lexus via chat on one of their on line media blogs, that this price will be honoured on collection (August / September is rough estimated delivery) and that the luxury car tax will not be payable. see discussion (it was a bit drawn out!) here https://mag.lexus.co.uk/new-lexus-nx/comment-page-6/#comments
  13. Had an offer to change from 2018 nx to 2020 model; before I did I tried a UX250h (also have had one as a courtesy car). UX has better performance and a great hybrid system. Did the figures for roughly similar spec vehicles, on PCP - UX with a few option packs came out as around £40 month more a month than NX300h Premium sport. NX in my view was better, bigger (but not excessively so), obviously more roomy, higher driving position for better visibility, 4 wheel drive (ux quote was for 2 wheel drive version, 4 wheel drive version bumps price even more) and in my opinion a better interior. Went for the the NX. Hope they fit RAV 4 engine in the next NX release as even though there is nothing wrong with the existing engine it does feel behind the latest generation hydrid units that Toyota/ Lexus are using. NX is a lovely place to be when driving, fit Michelin across Climates to improve ride, and gives you genuine all weather ability. MPG from 38 - 42 mpg over 9500 miles the UX will be better than this. Try them both at your nearest dealership and then decide, everyone has different requirements
  14. Couple more pictures showing Apple car play - Main Apple menu on screen, and Google maps satellite view - will need to set everything else up.
  15. My new N300h Premium Sport was delivered late March (lockdown day!) and it is fitted with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, have linked up with my iPhone but not used yet - Photos attached if these help anyone.
  16. For Ride Quality the ES but for driving position the NX - sitting higher gives a better alround view which I personally prefer. Good adjustments on both to get comfortable ES had powered seat and steering wheel positioning for start up and when turning off which was nice NX rides well, but not as good as the ES or GS, but less danger of damage to wheels or transmitted shocks from those bigger pot holes on the roads.
  17. Lexus Coventry have an ES in the showroom, was able to go out for a test drive in it - very nice and smooth and quiet ride - a lot of sound deadening has been added, under the bonnet it can be seen on suspnsion towers. Usual excellent quality interior. Loved the Head up Display (not had one before!). Personal option is that it’s an improvement compared to the GS300h that I previously had, and that was also a very quiet relaxing car to drive
  18. Had 380gw unit fitted at Lexus Coventry a few days ago. Don’t like wires mounts etc hanging down from the windscreen so an ideal solution for me. lnitilly called in to have a look how big the units were; they had a couple in stock so was able to look at the unit and put it on windscreeen to see what it was like. Offered to fit it for me there and then, which I agreed too, so an hour later car returned with dash cam fitted (and car cleaned!) I was on my way. Got some discount as well, as I have a service plan (and LOC membership) as this is a Toyota / Lexus part number. Mine is fitted in the same position (to the left of drivers mirror) as previous photo, there is a spare mount in the kit as well, and after calling Nextbase they said no problem with spare mounts just ring them and they will send them out. Asked them about parking mode, this done is by detecting any physical movement of the vehicle I was told. Must be sensitive as I had about 6 files recorded whilst parked at work one day on reviewing the videos could not see anything so possibly wind movement setting it off. Can change sensitivity in the App. All in very pleased so far
  19. I have 235/45/18 Michelin Crossclimates on my GS300h Executive - good, quiet tyres and performed well in recent snow / ice on the side roads, I do 10 miles country roads then motorway very early mornings and they have certainly negated any worries about getting stuck.
  20. Yes, it was the Silver one at Listers with black interior, think they were keen to order a replacement demo car to help with their new car sales for end of month figures. New List Prices on GS were also increased in October as well. Definitely enjoying it, favourite new feature is adaptive cruise control, great on motorway !
  21. Just changed from 15 plate IS300h Executive for a 65 plate GS300h Executive for a very good price from main dealer - ex demonstrator. On the facelift models there is stacks of extra kit considering it is the entry level GS:- Adaptive cruise control, Lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, Lexus premium Navigation system as standard, reversing camera, 10-way electrically adjustable, heated leather seats (memory function on drivers seat) Auto high beam space saver spare wheel instead of repair kit ...etc. About 4 - 5 mpg down on my regular 25 mile commute compared to the IS on 17" wheels, but the GS has been fitted with 18" wheels. My insurance company also gave me a refund , on annual premium so cheaper to insure as well (at least for me!) Only minus point - rear seats do not fold down. No regrets so far loving the extra comfort and features, good luck on your search!
  22. RE Reversing camera,

From the little information I have I believe the camera (and possibly an interface module) originated from here http://www.motormax.co.uk/ not sure if the guy that fitted it worked for  them or was  an independent, but he did get in touch with them when he thought he needed new parts..

    All the best

    Keith

  23. Yes certainly in my case normal warranty conditions apply as it was supplied to me on a new vehicle, I think it is treated as a fitted accessory. What would happen if you had it fitted to a vehicle not originally supplied by them you would need to check with them, I would think if they arranged and supervised it being fitted you should be OK - give them a ring
  24. I had the camera included in the price of the car on the order form, Lexus Coventry arranged the fitting for me, It did have a problem after a few months when the camera signal was lost, they arranged for the contractor to return and gave me a loan car for a day while it was sorted out; when I got it back the distance lines on the display had also been enabled (fixed lines , not like the guide lines that turn with the steering wheel on OEM camera) which is a useful addition
  25. ,Cost £300 fitted, I think Lexus Coventry just passed on the third parties charges, as it was not using genuine parts or being fitted by their technicians, just provided the guy with somewhere on their premises to fit it. At the time of purchase the only way to get a reversing camera was to add or get a car with the Premium navigation package adding a lot more to vehicle cost. I believe they do run a signal cable from boot lid to the screen, I think the camera has to be NTSC type as well and tap into reversing light circuit as well. Fitting takes a few hours to complete I have seen similar ones on ebay since, which come as a kit with cables etc included, you can also buy one built in to a replacement number plate light for certain Lexus / Toyota models from counties outside the UK. The OEM camera on IS300h look identical to those fitted by Toyota (wife has a yaris hybrid with a factory fitted one) so that could be another option- need someone with access to the parts list for Lexus / Toyota to confirm this. Hope this helps
