  1. I asked Lexus Croydon about a month ago how much it would cost to change discs and pads for the front. They quoted £961 (Front Discs/Pads and including Labor). The price to change back Disc/Pads was £798 (again including Labor). In my opinion a bit too much, prefer to spend a bit more on aftermarket parts and go to a known mechanic who i have been to before. I ended up buying OEM front discs and Hawk Cermamic Pads for the Front. Back brakes look fine at the moment
  2. (will apologise for another thread about headlights but I am not able to consolidate all the details from the various threads i have found) My drivers side headlight went last night and I am now looking for a replacement pair. Questions from me are: What bulb model do I need for the headlights? Are they xenon or halogen? What after market bulbs do you recommend or have tried? How easy are they to fit? Lots of questions but just want to get a a good picture of what I need to buy and do.
  3. Where abouts in South London? Nice colour combo for the F Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  4. The grey looks awesome. Good colour Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  5. Yep, ive been looking at those but are quite expensive I have the DR750 (2 Channel one) and albeit massive compared to the normal models they do, it has a very good night viewing compared to some of the other brands. It all depends on what you want and budget to spend.
  6. No worries fella, I ended up washing mine and then finally found a fuse in the passenger fuse box that has current when the car is turned off which is the Fuel Filler Cap fuse, and my fingers are destroyed from poking and prodding the fuse box. I love the fact that on our cars and all other Lexus models it is so easy to hide cables and anything really behind all the plastic sections. But again it is nice to see another IS-F and share the little knowledge I have so far
  7. Nice, cheers for that. On next tyre change I'll swap them over. Shouldn't be too long till that happens :D Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  8. I did have a funny feeling that was the case. As the front left is very worn on the outside and inside. I believe it was swapped round with the opposite side when they noticed the wear. For future reference, how did you notice it? Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  9. I thought the car cover would also attract unwanted attention but so far it's been quietly left alone. I bought the cover from halfords. Was in there buying something else and it does the job, so bought it. In terms of the wax, it is a hard wax but it is fine to put on. It takes about 5-10 minutes to cure and then just a question to buff off, it comes off easily Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  10. Cleaned the car last Saturday, a Proper clean. First snow foamed with this to remove top coat of dirt - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/car-wash-shampoos/chemical-guys-maxi-suds-ii/prod_165.html Then snow foamed with this to remove old waxes - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=955 And then iron-x around the bottom half of the car - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1352 Then 2 bucket wash with - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=681 Then dry and finally waxed with - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo-juice/dodo-juice-diamond-white/prod_405.html (probably the best wax i have bought, especially for white cars) Now pictures, only took one of the car with some foam And then I covered her up to keep the dust out from the building site 50 meters away
  11. No chance for me, apparently the girlfriend has plans for the whole weekend.
  12. I didn't drive through the Pyrenees. I was on a mission and chose the shortest route. I might do it next year though as would love it Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  13. Aaaaa now my memory has kicked in. Yep I remember who's it was. Bloody memory is terrible these days Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  14. To be completely honest i don't feel too much of a pull but it does not go completely straight when i let go of the steering wheel. So you guys are probably spot on and ill get the tracking done as soon as I have a day off work.
  15. They were 40 before leaving to Spain. As it was one of those things I look at before doing long journeys
  16. There is also a Silver one on AutoTrader for £39k, 2012 and 13k miles.
  17. So have been majorly absent over the whole of August with Summer arriving and holidays. Thought I would open a thread of things that went well, things that need fixing (nothing major), and a helpful addition for the car. Along with pictures, everyone always likes pictures. First 2 weeks of August were spent in Spain, and the last week of August in Bruges and drove the car to both places and back. In 4 weeks I have done a total of 3013.8 Miles And can i just state over all these miles the car was absolutely faultless and utterly pleasurable. It ate every single mile as if it was on a mission and not to entice law breaking, done the trip back from Lugo (Galicia) to London in 17 Hours and 30 mins. The fuel consumption was absolutely spot on, you always think with a 5L V8 it will drink like crazy but in all it done 2500-ish miles and I spent £653.63 (just the trip to spain and back and driving about around there) Belgium and back was done on 2 tanks. Here is probably the only picture I took of the car in Spain. This car really was not made for the village where my parents are from, it is fine on main roads BUT can go nowhere else ha! There is about 3 things which need fixing and hoping someone may know something from their experience with the F but if you dont, no worries. I noticed in Spain when I opened the boot lid that there was a spot of rust where paint has been chipped. This has to have been there from before i even bought the car. How hard is this to repair? And maybe due to the high speeds i may have made this worse, it already was a tiny bit sticking out but after all the miles and high speeds it has got slightly worse :-( I have tried popping it back in, but it pops out again after 5 mins. And lastly my Passenger side front tyre is in this state. Really worn inside and out but the middle is fine, something tells me this tyre was swapped from the drivers side but not sure. And finally I bought a dash cam, in particular the BlackVue DR750LW-2CH. Worth the buy incase of any incidents in the car and will ring the insurance to get the price reduced tomorrow. It was very easy to install. The wiring for this goes through the roof lining, down behind the A-Pillar airbag cover, then power wire above the driver footwell. And the wire for the rear camera goes along underneath the door seals. And the video quality is like the below which were recorded today. It records all the time but when it senses an "impact" it will record 30 seconds before and after that moment. There is many more features but I can not list them all The quality on the youtube video is not a proper example, as the compression on youtube is very extreme. But the raw file is top notch HD
  18. Looks very nice and very well kept Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC

  20. haha and there is little old me with the pressure washer, That was on Saturday and I was on a lot of pain killers due to a pinched nerve in my neck/left shoulder. I have no idea how i even held the pressure washer gun :-S P.S. ill stop spamming this thread :-)
  21. Really...jammy bugger lol. Ping me a link in a message so I can see Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  22. Same happened to me when i started looking for a new car, I started with the typical M3 C63 but in a video I saw an IS-F. Then came the multitude of video reviews on the IS-F and I was hooked. I never really wanted a german performance car, and if i had not found out about the IS-F i probably would have bought one and spent most of my time at the dealer with the many issues. But I did not and ended up with an IS-F i adore. It turns heads everywhere
  23. What a nice color, must be because it is the same as mine hehe You will enjoy it, trust me :-)
  24. All i know is mine is at home, and i want to get home ASAP to see the bloody thing lol
