  1. Just an update. Got a letter from a company asking what the mileage was on the car when I sold it. The company does HPI checks. They were investigating a possible clocking incident. Not sure where the car has gone as can’t find it for sale. If the owner is on here get in touch and I can tell you anything you might want to know would be a shame if someone has clocked the mileage back to get some extra money from it
  2. Good old Sloane St / Knightsbridge. Yeah that’s mine, well was mine till I sold it and changed. Little one came along and I know some people say these are very easy as daily’s but fuel consumption was just a tad much and I prefer to fuel the baby 😂. They are asking for a bit much. Lexus somehow are trying to rip someone off. I never sold it to Lexus. Someone must have sold it on. It is worth about £18k. That’s what Lexus croydon said they would give me for it 2 months ago. So I thought your taking the mick and went to another dealership who offered me much more than that (again not a Lexus dealership) and I sold it there and then. Car when I got rid of it had no issues, had been serviced in August, had a complete new front bumper put on and arches resprayed (deliveroo moped rider hit me on purpose). It’s got hawk ceramic pads which are nearly half way through, tyres have still got a lot of tread on them. Every single service and repair has been done at a Lexus dealership. It has the f sport gear knob as an extra. It has only really done motorway miles road trips abroad every year Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland. if it still has the window tints it probably requires the rear window done again as it has cracked and come away in the middle Other than that it is perfect.
  3. Not the X26, was waiting for the K-something bus to go to a mates house hehe. Was gonna take a picture but i was a tad slow ha!
  4. Waiting for a bus and I was on my phone. Heard a V8 rumble. Looked up and saw it. Number plate starts M4
  5. Cheers fella, mine just came back from its 5 yr service so will leave it for a bit, but might buy it before i need to change it or want to change it
  6. Gonna say, the seats look awesome. You are doing a hell of a lot of work and sharing which is something i think we are all grateful for. Keep up the good work!
  7. I have clear coat peeling away in different places around the car but not sure how to get sections of clear coat repaired with out respraying different panels
  8. I might try that when my service is due, see what courtesy car i can get. I tend to get a GS when i leave them the IS-F
  9. I am 28 and pay for the F around £750 (fully comp) with out secure parking listed on my insurance. Saying that i used to pay 800 for the DS3....Do not understand how they make up the prices for premiums (well i do but it sometimes does not make sense :-) )
  10. blimey, thats some jump in performance. a 1.6 diesel citroen to a ISF. Agreed but i wanted a performance car when i was buying the Citroen but had to commute from London to Reading every day so could not justify owning something like what i have now back then.
  11. Mine is quite short Mk6 Ford Fiesta 1.2 Citroen DS3 1.6 Diesel Sport and current...Lexus IS-F
  12. F! knew i forgot about something this weekend, completely forgot :-( Would have loved to have remembered and attended, hopefully next time. The video is awesome for sound comparison
  13. Well i thought exactly like you until this year. So this year drove to Spain, a small town where my parents are from in Northern Spain (Foz) and guess what i saw parked up next to me one day... Talking to him, he saw mine last year when I drove with it for the first time and said he swapped his 911 for the IS-F 10-11 months later. Saying that though, he said he only saw one for sale in Spain, the one he bought which was in Barcelona...so probably even rarer in Spain than the UK. Apart from Spain, have also driven through France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany this year and not one IS-F. Nice to see the looks of people at European petrol stations :-)
  14. The suspension in my Citroen DS3 was harder than the IS-F. I agree that you get used to it. Mine has been to a few european countries this year (France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) and the cruising comfort is incredible
  15. Hi all, back from holiday and just saw an extended video where Lexus show off there hoverboard and then jump off what i believe is the new GS-F
  16. Fitted and turns on like a dream now, no hesitation :-)
  17. I have Michellin Pilot Super Sports on the front, Potenza's on the rear. I find the Michellin's are not as firm a ride as the Bridgestones
  18. OK, after trying 10 different after market batteries and failing to find one of the same stats and that fits I ended up ringing Lexus Croydon. £95 with fitting.
  19. So yesterday got home from work and nothing has been using the battery for the last 2 days. Ignition on shows one bar above minimum and it just about started. Then all of a sudden it shows one bar above the middle. The battery level seems very sporadic which makes me think battery life is coming to an end. Question is. The more I google for a replacement battery, the more I find that there is no actual official details from Lexus of dimensions and what specs the battery needs to have. Any idea guys? I will ring Lexus today and see what they say, will also post any information I get here for who may need it in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  20. Back here again because i have an issue or what i think is an issue, and will start with a back story. So I have my Blackvue Dash Cam hard wired to the car, it connects to a Lukas 290 Battery discharge prevention device. I have it set so that when the battery drops to 12.4v it cuts power to the dash cam when the car is turned off. Now i have had this installed since September and never never had an issue. On Monday went to go buy some food and thought I would take the car. Get in and hit the start button, and car just goes tick tick tick, look at the battery meter (in the middle of the speedo and it is on the penultimate bar. Anyway i thought ill give it another go. This time battery just died and nothing would happen. Got my mate to give me a jump start and got the car going. Went for a drive on the M4 at silly times of the night just to make sure it would give it a good run in (the battery display showed it one line above middle for the first 10 mins of driving). Get home and it looks ok, so went to bed. Next morning being how I am I went to check the car and turned the ignition on. Car is again on penultimate line but this time the car starts and the line goes 1 above middle. Leave it running for 10 mins and then off i went to work. Got home and thought, maybe the battery discharge prevention device is faulty so i disconnected it, left the car over night and when i got home from work today I went to check (thinking process was, maybe the device is not working, so disconnect and see if the battery still dies with nothing connected). Get in and this is what i see: As you can see, it start at 1 line below middle, then after being turned on stays at 1 above middle. I have heard when this happens it may be due to battery giving off a reading that it has charge but the charge does not really exists. Has anyone ever seen this kind of behaviour before? Also does anyone know what battery fits in our cars? which is the best?
