Does anyone know where I can get an updated DVD for my SAT NAV? Certainly not paying dealer prices! How easy is it to replace the current one?

How much is your excess? Someone went to a local lexus for body works and I saw the car in a local garage approved by Lexus. I would conatct a local body shop.

Go to Lexus and get them to print out a report on the work done on the car including the replacement alloys. Then you have prove that the wheels are two months old to show them.

I don't think that will be a problem. Phone your local dealer or Lexus GB to double check

Speak to your dealer again. They may be able to do it out of good will. If not try Lexus GB

Car is under warranty and bought it from Lexus in Guilford. I wased it with turtle shampoo and have it on the same car since May that I bought it.

Washed my car yesterday and found the paint was rubbing off into the chamois. Thought I was dreaming so I took a clean white tissue and wiped a small area and found the paint in the tissue. Colour is Green on a 51 (02) plate. Should lexus sort this out or its my headache?

Talk to Lexus GB. It is a known problem and they should fix it. I am sure they can sort something out for you.

a/c is meant to be used on hot days. Forget the petrol hit and enjoy the beast

Worth asking the dealer what the error message is. Will be good to know. I know with the pre 01 had the Err3 and a rest of the ECU seem to cure the problem

Got the same problem on my 02 plate IS 200. Dealer has ordered the front brake caplipers

I have been flashes for sppeding.. Anyone knows how I can get away i.e any loop hole in the law etc?

Get Dealer to fit Parking sensors free of charge and get your foot the the pedal. Great machine to have.....

Found this article.... by David Cooper "I owned a Lexus IS200 SE automatic from October 2001-September 2003. I never liked it. It was noisy, uneconomical, sluggish and boring. It never ran smoothly. In fact, after 10000 miles at the first service I drove a courtesy car which was smoother. The excuse was that it was 'intelligent' and adapted to my more laid back style of driving. Nonsense! I had to change the tyres due to excessive wear because the tracking was out, caused apparently by potholes to both front wheels at the same time! I then had both shock absorbers changed due to noises that took three visits to the dealers to rectify. I also found the car uncomfortable on a long journey. However, the hi fi system was excellent, until the CD changer jammed and had to be replaced. On a positive note, the dealership was excellent. But they did get to know me quite well. I have now bought a Saab 9-3 and I am delighted with it. To sum up the Lexus - nice dealer, shame about the car. " WHAT DO YOU THINK ??

Totally agree with Lexy 200. The Sat Nav system is not an after market product. The car was advertised as "With Sat Nav" which attracted you therefore if the Nav is not working then he has to either get it fixed even if it means going to Lexus, give you a full refund or a discount to the value of the repair/replacement cost.

Sounds a good deal.... I think the mats cost £100 from the dealer. How much will you sell your version 3.7 for?

How old and what mileage does it have on the clock? I would run to the dealer because this can fail MOT if over 3 yrs old

Take a day trip to the UK/Germany and get it sorted out

Can I watch TV progammes on my Nav screen. If so what do I need??? Not the TV licence man though....

Go for the sport. I have an SE with Nav and only used it twice. Sat Nav on pre 01 are CD based

If you want performance, then go for a Lotus or Ferrari. Maybe Bently GT Otherwise stick with the Lex. Better spec and looking than the rivals.

Check the alloys for corrosion and pitting. Get them to fit parking sensors on models pre 2001. Rear view mirror is convex and a pain to use

Does anyone know where I can buy Xenon bulbs for my IS 200? I need a better vision at night and the OEM bulbs are not bright enough.
