Someone jealous scratched my Lex. Would anyone recommend chips away to fix the problem or use a get a body shop to respray the car as the price difference is about the same? Is there any good body shop that someone can recommend in the South London area whithout having to break an arm and a leg? tnx

why is it only Lexus that have this problem with the wheels? I had a peugeot 306 which cost half the price of the Lex and didn't suffer from alloy corrosion, ball joint problems and prone to stone chips. We should complain and get the waranty extended at least. This has been done for the stereo so it should be done for the wheels

Why don't we all write and complain to Lexus GB considering this is a known problem and should have been fixed by now?

Why will Lexus not extend the warranty on alloys to say five yrs?

What are the advantages of having a V6 engine over the Straight 6 engine? Why is Lexus moving towards the V6?

I am seriously considering the new GS but have to see the new IS in flesh. I quite like it but can't justify the cost for the optional sun roof. Also not sure of the new trim levels i.e SE, SE-L

I noticed yesterday that the sound/beeps form my parking sensors when approaching a object was very faint and could hardly be heard. Does anyone know if there is a possibilty that one of the speakers is not working or could there be a fault with one of the sensors etc? I have washed the car so that eliminates any dirt on the sensors. Thanks

Get dealer to check the ball joints. Earlier models had that problem

Spoke to a sales man at my local dealer over the weekend and apparently it will be around March/April of next year. Reason: As the IS is coming to the end of life, they will use the all the parts available to build another LE edition which will have xenon lights, full leather, DVD nav, parking sensors, horrible looking alloys now on the SE and metallic paint.

Wait for the replacement
