    I have a 2002 IS 200 and the Tail/Brake failure warning light keeps coming on intermittently even though the bulbs are all working. I have replaced the bulbs but still no joy and I am getting annoyed now... Can someone please help? Where the connectors etc ???

    Mine is just over 4 years old and apart from tyres and brake pads which are wear and tear items, I have replaced the two rear bulbs. Total cost is £4.98 Great car

    I am very disappointed with these rattles. I was thinking of replacing my IS 200 for a new GS300 but my guess is to either wait or look elsewhere. My IS200 has had rattles from day 1 from the roof and the dash. Lexus tried so many times to fix it but in the end, I got a friend to help me take the dash out to fix the problem. The rettles and creaks from the roof is still there and I am having to live with it. Not a nice experience

    Please keep it. You hardly hear that buzzer with the parking sensor fitted. Mine is manual

    I am considering replacing my IS200SE soon for something a bit bigger and similar spec and with more power. I like the new GS and the E – class. However, I am not a fun of the German motors but quite like the E- 240. I find the new GS and IS well over priced. What will you go for? I know this is a Lexus forum so people will be biased!

    I find the dealers a rip off. I had a simialr issue on my 40K service. Lexus Croydon quoted me £390 Bromley quoted me £360 and I ended up doing it at Reading for £260. I supplied my own oil I changed the coolant myself and that was done within 10 min.

    Got my V11 (Road tax reminder) through last friday and the renewal price is £165.00 for 12 months. When I tried to renew it on line, the price came up to £190. Which on is correct?

    £350 is too steep. I paid £290 for a full 40K service. It pays to phone a around. I live in London and my local garage quoted me £380 for a full service. I phoned around and Lexus Reading quoted £290. A saving of 90 quid!!!

    A day before MOT last week, the rear burnt bulb warning light came on on the dash whilst driving. I checked all the lights including the brake lights and all was working. I then switched off the engine, started the car and bingo all sorted. Took the car for MOT and it passed first time. Whilst driving lastnight, this light came on again. All the lights are working fine including the brake lights. It has gone since off now but what could it be?

    Do you know if current GS models get a facelit and updated Sat Nav? I know they are under a year old but I am thorn between the new GS and E-Class as my IS is due for replacement

    Changed the cooland on Sunday. Job done in 20min. Drove 50 miles just to be certain and guess what? Absolutely delighted. The fan doesn't kick in when idea for a few min as it used to.

    I have a similar rattle problem with the Old IS200 SE when I bought it nearly two yrs ago. The annoying rattle from the dash is still there and unfortunately I am living with it. I know how annoying this is can be. Good luck with the dealers!

    In the same boat as you. I've had mine for 20 months and really like the new GS for better boot space and practicality (and also don't want to leave the Lexus world). Having looked at the value of my current IS in parkers and I was horrified. Spoke to the dealer who suggested to keep the car for a while for the prices of the GS to drop but that also affects the resale value of my IS. Stuck!!
