...will this,once again entail the bombing of areas settled by innocent families and individuals in the bid,to destroy 'isis'...?...I find this both ironic and sad..ironic...one of our partners in the Middle East is Saudi arabia, a country that has beheaded almost two people a week this year alone, and im sure I read somewhere, beheaded one a day in recent years...sad?...because we sit back and alow just as barbaric activities with much more civilian casualties to go on and on because they have no political or monetary value....whilst the beheadings of the three westerners has been shocking, barbaric and brutal, the bombing of the suggested areas will just turn more in the Middle East against we the west....so,,job done as this was surely the intention in the first place..the behaviour of these renegades has been decried, even by extreme members of Islamic society as against the teachings of the Koran... Once again we seem to quick to,pull the trigger when it suits us, or when we hold onto,Americas coatails....have we assumed the identity of the gobby little kid that hung around with the playground bully...one day, the playground bully won't be here for us....what then?... I feel let down and dismayed by the thought that we will be once again asking our younger generation to engage in a war that will inevitably mean we,ourselves sustain fatalities..to,paraphrase Churchill, I know this is not the end. but I fear it may be the beginning of the end....the end of the beginning?...that happened years ago

Ls430..saw it again yesterday, same place, just before the bridge outside arnold clark...430 for sure....mystery solved...

Iv been lucky enough to own several jags, an x308 sport, xj40 4.0 sovereign and a brace of series 3 xj4.2 sovereigns....wonderful cars, few cars, including rolls Royce for me, make you FEEL like a series 3 jag....my ls400 is nearest in 'feel' to a jag with its wonderful, cosseting ride and refinement....and it knocks jags, Merc and bmw into a cocked hat for build quality....lexus for me from now, and I am/was a huge jag fan. Getting back to the ls430 v ls400 thing, I actually think the ls400 is a much more cohesive design...the ls430 I don't doubt is a wonderful car but it just doesn't sit on the road like a 400 for me....I can't believe I 'fell' into owning one of these wonderful cars...iv been a petrol head since I was a teenager and would never even have considered one....sometimes luck deals you a good hand I guess...

One day I would like a 600... Really for the interior more than anything....twenty yeses from now maybe haha

His biggest complaints were it wasn't much more frugal with its five speed box, amd it just doesn't 'feel' as high quality...I can't comment, never even been in a 430... I do prefer the look of the ls400, it seems lower, wider, less slab sided, but hey, neither are in the same aesthetic league as an x308 jag or the like, to my eyes...a lexus is a car to be enjoyed from behind the wheel in a manner I have never experienced in owning almost 200 cars..yeah, you read that right..

...owned ls for three and a bit months now and it has never failed to start/finish a journey/impress/make me smile...I think I'm averaging about 24mpg, low of low twenties around town and high of 35 mpg with cruise on at 2000rpm...it's as cosseting as the day I bought it and nothing has gone wrong with it...I appreciate all you guys know this..you own them...but this car has been a revelation thus far....and, bit of a result, the last owner called me saying he has another one which he had bought for lpg and offered me the electric aerial for mine as he remembered it didn't work....he really regrets selling the ls and says his 430 is not half the car...contentious I know, but don't shoot the messenger...I'm gonna nip down and see him this weekend. Hope he doesn't get too emotional! These cars are criminally undervalued. I used to buy jags and remember writing that the xj40 jags were criminally undervalued....which they are....but the lexus is in a different league....the best car in the world...for the price of a tired supermini...wow...gbn

Similar, I'm payment g 731 for my ls, yet go compare can give me a quote of less than 300...robbers the lot of them....mrs was same, 400 quid plus for her Z3, 110 on go compare....

But how many smiles per gallon does the aygo do.....great wee cars aygo, but my ls gives me more smile per gallon that almost any other car iv owned...

...usually twenty quid here and there but got my student loan yesterday so treated lexus to full tank....last time it was high eighties, this time low nineties ....nice having full tank though haha

Mystery, maybe, solved....I think it was an ls we saw in town, down by dw gym, tk max etc, Wednesday?....about one.....but mate lives up your end so maybe it was your car he saw mains loan?....good choice regardless

I'm lucky, only electric aerial and drivers heated seat doesn't work on mine....haven't investigated either to be fair...

I know I can get insurance much cheaper via comparison sites, I got quotes....just keep forgetting to change over....more money than sense....which, to be fair, would still be true if I had ten bob to my name....

These cars can shift...am sure official figures say 60 in seven and a bit seconds for series three and under seven for series four....and 155 mph...these figures are only hot hatch quick these days but enough to surprise an delight all concerned...it's the effortless feeling I love...

Undecided on this....I always think the 430 is a bit slab sided...a two tone or different shade along bottom 1/4 would maybe make it appear a bit lower, bit more svelte?.....try a photoshop or something...

Blue y plate ls400..one of the last....mains loan dundee, looks good...I saw it earlier in town but mate just phoned me to say its parked on mains loan...I'm not a stalker haha...a similar gold model to mine two days ago top of loons road, driver retuned wave... I know there is a spotted thread in other section, but no one seems to use it.... Seen a few ls430 running around town too, botth gold, one parks on Gardner street...
