  1. I think I'd always buy new - otherwise you're never sure what you're dealing with?
  2. How about 'Liquid Leather' or Scuffmaster ( I think it's called ) ?
  3. Thank you! ( Is there a maximum % than can ever be sent to the back wheels - I assume it functions when in Reverse also ? )
  4. Hence my question... what IS AWD ( All Wheel Drive )
  5. Assuming my RX has AWD, which I'm sure it does... what does AWD actually mean? I read about AWD, 4x4 etc... but can anyone tell me what AWD ( assuming that's the correct name ) is? Is there a front to back drive ration, does it change when driving, what does it DO...?
  6. Re: Slider pins. In my ignorance... is that something easy to do - can the wheels stay on?
  7. I use my iPhone now - I find it easier and more up to date... (CoPilot is my choice ) I still like the visual on the big screen though, on the centre console...
  8. I looked at those too - just didn't have the size I needed... :megaangry:
  9. So in the Rear Door, there is a a Mid and a Tweeter, behind the single round speaker area?
  10. I took out an extra 2 year warranty as well. It's peace of mind as much as anything...
  11. I'm going to listen out too - and time it. ( My beloved Lexus Soarer also had air suspension ( TEMS ). It worked happily for 20 years. On occasions I would hear it 'pump up', but it was never an issue )
  12. ... on start up I DO hear the revs increase which I think is helping the air suspension ...?
  13. We have a sponge with a long handle. Looks odd but works well...
  14. Mine is slow as well - but so subtle I hardly detect it. It doesn't seem to adjust much - unless I switch to Low or High, which I don't bother using. I've also switched off the 'easy access' mode, and keep the height as Normal. ( I only switch it OFF for a tyre change - using that hidden, under-the-steering-wheel switch ).
  15. My 4 tyres also took 1.5 hours - so maybe that's the norm?
  16. I have also just put on 4 new Michelin Latitude Tour HP's. The reviews seemed good, and I like the M+S element. ( Just worked out that I can date my tyres from the "DOT ..xx" annotation. Some of mine were very old )
  17. Does anyone have a 2003/2004 RX SE-L and know how many speakers they have - I 'think' I have 7?
  18. Hope it all goes well from now on, now the battery is secured. ( I used to have a Lexus Soarer and loved it. I found some Japanese coins in the car that I was told the Japanese place there for good luck! Transferred mine to my new car. Worth a try?! )
  19. I'd love to know too - for information. I'm having 4 new tyres on Tuesday, so have to remember to switch OFF the air suspension first ( now I've found the switch ). But wonder if I need to just switch it back on afterwards, or do some sort of 'reset' too?
  20. Well ... after crawling on my hands and knees - literally, I found it. It is below the steering wheel, pretty much hidden - a small black switch.
  21. I am trying to find the switch to switch off the air suspension on my SE-L. I can find the switch to change the height, but after looking at the Lexus manual STILL cannot find the described switch. ( It seems to have a small picture on it ) I've looked in and around the steering wheel, glove box, boot - everywhere. ANY guidance would be MUCH appreciated!
  22. If tyres are being changed on a car with air suspension, does it need to be 'turned off' first? I've seen mention of the 'Height Control Button'?
