  1. Maybe drive with someone in the back/front, who can listen out, push and press things and generally investigate?
  2. Is that what the drain holes are for - around the sunroof perimeter...
  3. Sound advice above. Have you seen the car? The dealer is in the UK but the car is in Ireland? Is the owner returning to the UK? Just wondering why it's not being sold in Ireland. When you come to sell it, could it put other buyers off with the history? Are there other buying options of other cars? etc...
  4. Was it an issue on the test drive? I'd certainly be looking to the dealer to resolve - unless it was cited as a known issue...
  5. Worth knowing. Though think I'll just stick with clean transmission fluid for now...
  6. I guess you want to check all the usual things; HPI check, MOT's, AskMID, Service Book, old receipts etc., BEFORE you commit.
  7. Unless the dealer can show you, I would do a full HPI check. https://www.hpicheck.com/ And maybe call Lexus in Ireland for some general feedback on it?
  8. I hope it all goes well from now on! Happy driving. :)
  9. ... the seller of the RX I bought, was replacing it with an NX.
  10. Agree 100% Despite the extra £, I really would consider replacing all 4. Platitude alert - but they ARE the only thing between you and the road. The extra two tyres will equate to maybe 3 full tanks of petrol. Longer term it's easier to justify the cost. When I bought my car I changed all 4 tyres. It transformed it and I KNEW it was safer - especially as it is AWD. My 2 cents! :)
  11. I would see if you can get more than 1/4 from the Warranty company. If it's a warranty issue, surely they should pay it all? Good luck!
  12. My RX is booked into Lexus for an Intermediate service next month ( and MOT ). Gosh, it's an expensive oil change - and not much more ...!
  13. Is it just a DVD? I use CoPilot on my phone - always up to date with roads and cameras... :)
  14. ... and if it's AWD, how does that affect things when one ( rear ) wheel spins. Do both stop, just one, or...?
  15. Might be worth checking the tyre ages as well? That 4 digit number. Love my car but the old tyres were not good. Changed all 4 to Michelin's and the difference was amazing at many levels. :)
  16. Surely you need to contact the dealer FIRST, to give them an opportunity to fix at their expense? Assuming you get any work done elsewhere, they might then say it must be the cause and relinquish their responsibility - which you don't really want? My 2 cents. Good luck!
  17. ... which makes me think of the 'ECT SNOW' button. I always thought it meant, starting off in 2nd gear with traction control off, but maybe I was wrong. Posts suggest that it just means, start off in 2nd gear.
  18. My 20 year old Soarer with air suspension only ever had one problem with it - the compressor... Other than that it was fine.
  19. Bought mine from Amazon - about £27 Sumex CARAT10 Carat Universal Rubber Car Mats - Beige
  20. I bought some nice beige coloured rubber mats from amazon. They look great on top.
  21. Silicon spray is great to stop them freezing in the winter too...
