  1. Nagging me... So is there ALWAYS a bit of power to the rears, or could it be that on occasions there is none?
  2. Summer is definitely here! Great for transporting ice cream too!
  3. I guess it all comes down to money and risk. I like my SE-L and I can tell the air-suspension difference. Each month - unless I raid it - I save away some cash, for servicing etc. I also have a Lexus Warranty. But reading recent posts, there can be other, equally expensive issues. I think it goes with the territory. The cost of fuel consumption too. But given all that, I am happy to pay for the comfort, ease of driving, AWD, driving position and very definite feeling of being in a safe car - for me and my family.
  4. How odd! I know it was 'out'. But checking this morning it's all fine again.
  5. Interesting question. I have a 2003 SEL and I love it. My wife has a later SE and I love that too. Slight difference in ride. I bought mine from a Lexus dealer with a Lexus warranty. I wanted that peace of mind and would not at the time have bought an SEL privately. That's not to say it's wrong to. I reckon that the car prep., cost the dealer about £1500 and recent warranty work ( not suspension ) another £1450 - so the warranty for me was important. See other post - but my car is about 2 cm higher on one side. I don't notice it all but WILL get it looked at. Maybe you need to factor in a couple of 1000 off the price???
  6. No one else has the issue? ( Will get it looked at next month )
  7. Maybe it's just me, but I thought the pollen filter price quite high. But the labour looked really low!
  8. I would certainly search the LEXUS dealer used cars... the warranty etc., brings extra peace of mind.
  9. Make sure you have the ignition ON. ( And use the little slider on the front )
  10. Sounds great. I find the fuel consumption so-so too, but it's a small price to pay overall, for the comfort, refinement and safety.
  11. I noticed today that my RX is slightly higher on one side at the front, by about 2cm. It's on a fairly fiat gravel drive. Is this normal? If not should my Lexus warranty cover it? Any thoughts most welcome...
  12. I think it is true ... It is below the steering wheel, pretty much hidden - a small black switch.
  13. Thank you. For the UK I found these; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Lexus-Navigation-DVD-E04-CENTRAL-EUROPE-/191596286596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_205&hash=item2c9c075284 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Lexus-Navigation-DVD-E04-NORTH-EUROPE-/191596286885?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_205&hash=item2c9c0753a5 Though neither look like they include detailed UK info. I'll keep looking.
  14. Thank you. On that website (Lexus-mapupdates.eu) I try my Generation 1 and either 24121 and 70V311A but neither give anything ... no results. Is it me?! ( I'll check again ) I have 86271 70V311A ... Would any of these fit? 86271-60W370B, 86271-60V660J, 86271-60W30, 86271-60A210 ?
  15. Can anyone help please... Although I tend to use my phone as a satnav, I would update my system if the discs were cheap ( used/ebay? ). I have an RX300 and I know it's generation one. the numbers on my DVD are the 08664 are; 24121 and 70V311A Q. Do I simply find a newer 'generation 1' DVD, or is it more involved than that? I see various used Gen.1 DVD's on eBay ...
  16. I have the same. And a gravel drive. And the stones get stuck too. But that have been great tyres so far. The sipes will help in the winter no doubt.
  17. With a car like that, it makes those hot ( this week! ) stop-start traffic jams so much easier to endure! Looks great.
  18. My disks are way out of date, so I use my phone and an app. But I still like the large street view the satnav gives me... :)
  19. It was the stepper motor. Fixed under my Lexus warranty :) ( And ... a seized calliper too )
