  1. Thank you. Be careful in the triangle. Well known by plod, and you can get up to some silly speeds.
  2. @Big Rat, be thankful that you have a rate silver one mate. Autotrader for sale - Silver - 2 Gray - 3 Blue - 3 Black (they can't give them away) - 5
  3. Thanks Marcus :) Pace wise, we didn't push things too far. Roads were wet and even icy in some places. Having said that, after one spirited drive, my mate said "That is a quick car you have". I've no doubt however that the Lotus would disappear into the distance (especially when the twisties appeared). Two different machines (as you know). My mate tells me I drive a taxi.
  4. Thank you very much :) You carry on wittering - you've provided a much needed boost to the forum. PS: No comment about my car looking dirty again?
  5. Late last year, a mate of mine and I decided we'd bugger off to Wales for a couple days of driving. Day one was glorious weather - day two........ hmmmmm...... yuck. Probably more Lotus (Exige V6) pictures below, but I know there are a couple of Lotus fans on here If nothing else on this foggy Wednesday afternoon, the pics will give you a break from @Big Rat and @Mark G bantering
  6. In defence of the silver IS-F owners, here's a cut n paste from an IS-F review by EVO Magazine. "You can now have the interior trimmed in white leather (please don’t)"
  7. I'll late my mate in his much faster car take the lead (and the speeding tickets).
  8. Off for a two day blat through Wales tomorrow. Will pop into Rusty's car wash on way back!!!
  9. Ooooo. Lovely. Coleman's Yellow? Angry wasp? Bet the pipes are smaller than Rusty's ;)
  10. This oiling. Are you getting things mixed up @Big Rat
  11. I'd love to offer advice, but I just had to Google what an air filter does
  12. What 3 things made you go for an IS F? V8 Reliability (& warranty) Low depreciation What 3 things would you change about the IS F? More steering feel. Dash - everything left of the steering wheel Exhaust - more noise at low speed What 3 cars would be on your list if you sold your IS F tomorrow? Tough..... None - really not into cars at the moment. Only had the IS-F 8 months, so I'm still bored with looking at Autotrader etc. I'll add one thing that I didn't expect from ownership of an IS-F. I love being part of a small ownership circle. Meeting other IS-F owners has been brilliant. Kemble crew - I'm not blowing any more smoke up ya bums :)
  13. Got it back from Lexus the day before........ nothing new there!
  14. At another wedding, the groom was a Subaru petrol head. I parked the IS-F next to his Scooby. He loved it, but had no idea what it was.
  15. I was photographing a wedding back in the Summer. The groom had a Porsche Cayman. I thought it was a nice car, and noted that it was a GT4. Now at that point I had no idea that the GT4 was such a desirable car. I guess what I'm trying to say is that although I am a petrol head and x Porsche owner, I didn't have good enough knowledge to know what a GT4 was. I'm guessing more people know what a GT4 is than an IS-F. Funny thing is that the groom asked me what I drove. I said "I drive the Lexus equivalent to an AMG 63 / BMW M3". His reply was "A Lexus IS-F?". Proper petrol head. GT4
  16. Button by knee? Are you talking about the 'shift lock' button. I thought that was for breakdowns?
  17. ;) So now you are telling us that your V5 doesn't match your car!!!! Blimey, next you'll be telling us that it is an IS250 is disguise!
  18. Doesn't grey equate to faded black? Another duplicate one thinks
  19. Only the Japanese could design a gearbox which has a dedicated thread on 'How the **** does this thing work?' :) Tomorrow I'll start a thread on 'How to use the satnav'. Once that's sorted, a thread on 'How to get the voice activation to work' I must admit that the newer Lexus cars I have driven don't seem to suffer from quite so many 'Japanesey' 'features'.
