  1. Not sure? But I think they liked it…..😀😅😂
  2. Now you have fully functioning callipers ( no sticking pins) the pads should wear evenly and even when these screech pins come into play there is still 000’s of miles of friction material left. So all good I reckon.👍
  3. The solid Dot in front of the part description denotes it is a ‘Replace if Disturbed’ part ie one time use and should be renewed if removed.
  4. By ‘wear indicators’ do you mean the small spring type clips that are fitted to the pads themselves? If so then these are designed to come into contact with the disc as the pad material wears down near a minimum thickness and then make a god awful screeching noise that will shame you into sorting it, as far as I can recall then as the ‘screech pin’ is fitted to the same place on all pads it is not important as to its final position, (top or bottom)ie you don’t have a right & left pad. ( but obviously don’t fit both pads with pins to the same wheel🙄)
  5. They may not look pretty but if they are still within thickness spec and show no signs of defects ie hairline cracks or grooves then they should be serviceable.
  6. I know she’s an acquired taste ( not the car) but I’m disappointed it won’t get to us Brits🙄
  7. Plus Gas and PB blaster ( or any other penetrating fluid) are a lot better than WD40 which is good all rounder but might not cut it sometimes.
  8. If the sight of the real wood trim bugs you that much and you are a bit handy on the tools then all inserts are removable and can be vinyl wrapped or hydro-dipped to your liking!
  9. Easy way to determine a SE-L is the interior panels have the real wood inserts and only the SE-L had rear electric sun shade ( not even fitted to the ISF!) and this sticker on drivers side ‘B’ post. IMG_3622.MOV
  10. Dohhh! For ‘Do’ read ‘So’! using an IPhone (without your reading glasses) whilst in the works van ( as a passenger I stress) is obviously not the best.
  11. Note that post Sep 2007 250’s can use E10 fuel but previous cars cannot if that may be an issue.
  12. Simply put….No They ( Lexus dealerships) don’t even lubricate caliper slide pins when/if they renew brake pads/discs and when ( not if ) they seize will gladly fit New callipers at £££££’s all day long! So if a maf sensor is out of spec they will want/recommend fitting a new one at ££££’s again!!!
  13. I take it because it has worked for a while ( and you won’t use it when the actual amp is in use) the current draw of the sensor is not enough to upset the ML amp supply fuse.
  14. Question? Where did you get the +12v (assuming around boot area) permanent supply for the IR sensor?
  15. Not to be a party pooper but…. when I was looking for my 250 back in 2017 a certain south coast dealer who gets through a lot of 250’s had an early one with about 12,000 on it IIRC, I travelled to stand in front on it and it was a proper let down, loose front bumper ( for reasons unknown) and serious swirl marks in the black paint, I walked away but someone ( who did post on here later ) bought it sight unseen and upon delivery was well unimpressed and passed it on I think! So mileage is only one part of a good overall car!
  16. Check that state of battery is 100% as this may be the cause if car is otherwise running/driving fine, it may even start on the button every time but the battery may be failing.
  17. Which Gov website stated All Lexus cars from 1998 could take E10? My 2007 Lexus IS250 Cannot!
  18. Note. Different countries seem to have different Names for the same Code so always use the code and not the name for any reference.
  19. 👍correct, the 160k is not as ‘off putting’ as the 6k! plenty more fish and all that!
  20. I have never heard of (high) mileage being the downfall of a 250, 220 yes but not the 250. plenty of 250’s on the Clublexus ( US Owners site) with 200k+.
