  1. 🦄💩 to be honest, and best of luck you are not the first to be seeking these but I cannot recall the final outcome of previous searchers!
  2. Warranties on parts usually stipulate that parts must be fitted by a vat registered garage! I have tried ( and gave up) claiming on parts fitted by myself ( self taught, competent mechanic of 40+ years) before when they have failed so I don’t even bother to look for/compare claimed warranty periods! ’No Quibble’ sounds good though doesn’t it!
  3. I think he has just up loaded a 3rd on the ‘troublesome’ IS!!!!
  4. For anyone who ( unfortunately ) ends up with their IS not starting after an accidental/unintentional reverse polarity Jump Start then this shows (very well if you FF past the crap ad!) how to diagnose/replace the fusible link under the bonnet. note: this is the second of two vids on the resurrection of this abandoned IS.
  5. Don’t think you can via the phone itself ( something about the Bluetooth being incompatible from back when 250 was made!) this has been discussed lots previously. you can input them manually though 🙄 if you find out how please post it.
  6. Ssssssshhhhhh!!!! It’s a well known fact amongst Lexus owners but not so much with everyone else, until they actually get one that is! And then realise they should have got one years ago. fact ( trying to find source) Average BMW driver is aged 32 Average Merc driver is aged 42 Average Lexus driver is aged 52 goes to show to get wiser as you get older!
  7. You are not gonna be disappointed and you got the best colour combo IMO 😁
  8. Is the fuel filter the type that is in the tank ( connected to lift pump) or is it an external in-line canister type?
  9. Would be interesting if one could find out what part(s) exactly are not compatible with E10 that were put in the IS250 from Aug 2005-Sep 2007 but then not!
  10. My 250 was registered ( DVSA as it is now in UK) 21 Sep 2007, so I can safely say it was built ( in Japan!) Before September 2007, so Cannot (Should not!) take E10 according to the info in that link above ☹️ 💷💷💷💷💷💷💷🙄
  11. 100,000 miles / 120 Months page from IS250 schedule, and wouldn’t expect ISF to be million miles different!
  12. The 250 has an ‘inspection’ type flap that gives access to the filter, you don’t have to remove the whole underbody tray to get to it and oil drain plug is in plain sight!
  13. Here’s another Toyota/ Lexus ‘sealed for life’ gearbox fluid change but a lot easier on the eye to watch😉
  14. Here’s one vid on how to do a Lexus fluid service, the Important thing is the temp of the fluid at the time of checking, when it flows out of the ‘level straw’,
  15. Two things come to mind, the gearbox flushing may have dislodged some old contamination and this has caused a problem at some point in the system, or ( hopefully ) the fluid level is not sufficient, There is quite an involved process to determine the correct level.
  16. Excellent work and I feel for you having to go through it, like you said, if there was a ‘220D buyers guide’ then (perhaps) things would have been different for you and you would be driving round in a 250 a lot earlier without the bitter DERV experience. You would then probably have no reason ( apart from how to reset the windows!) to post any problems! But even with a 250 ( along with lots of other marques) you need to keep the callipers maintained, even though this is not specified in any service schedule.
  17. Battery disconnected for approx 20mins is enough to dissipate any residual current, this is the time recommended before working on the SRS components so will apply to other not so critical components.
