  1. Watched (and heard!) a Typhoon at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few times. Loud doesn’t come close to describing it 😀
  2. How would they know? 5% of your caravan’s laden weight is 67kg so load it to be 67kg nose weight and don’t worry. When I was towing caravans a number of other manufacturers set artificially low max nose weight figures. I just always set mine to 5% of the estimated laden weight. The dealer is just going to say maximum nose weight is 60kg and they’ll advise not to go above this. I wouldn’t worry personally but if you are worried then you should consider another vehicle which would allow a higher nose weight.
  3. A small price to pay for a superb climate I’d say!! 😉😀
  4. Write it down, even better 🤣
  5. Could be many reasons for any car being on the hard shoulder none related to a breakdown. Medical episode, ran out of fuel, extreme tiredness, to name a few.
  6. I’ve towed caravans for about 6 years with all manner of tow cars. I was always careful about nose weights and measured this after every loading of the caravan. Never towed with my NX but I’m sure it would be a capable towcar.
  7. There was another towcar test where the NX scored even higher. It was recommended in its class. With regard to nose weight of a caravan this is recommended to be 5% of the loaded weight of a caravan. 5% of 1344kg is 67kg and I don’t think you’d notice much difference between 60 and 67 and I doubt this would make a difference or cause a problem if you did tow with a nose weight of 67kg. If you do load your caravan such that the nose weight is 5% of its laden weight, you’ll be fine.
  8. Also turn off the ‘efficient ventilation’ mode somewhere in the climate control settings. Note - assuming that a UX has similar settings to an IS and an NX.
  9. Yes, probably a good idea to go back to normal fuel to check this. I’ll do this next time I fill up and do it for a few fills.
  10. I’m now on my 4th fill of V-Power. Mpg has improved. The acid test was a recent round trip of nearly 300 miles which I have done a number of times in this car. Same roads, same conditions and same speeds. 4 mpg better (44 v 40). In more normal driving I’m seeing just over a 3mpg improvement. The car generally feels more torquey to drive with much less throttle travel required to make progress. I’m going to stick with it I think. I’m seeing a decent mpg improvement and a much improved engine response so this, together with the additional cleaning benefits of this fuel make it worth me paying a premium for this fuel. My average mpg over 4 fills is 43.5 whereas it was 40 for many fills before that. I’ll keep monitoring this but the signs are good so far.
  11. 1. Don’t know sorry. 2. Yes it is. 3. No they wouldn’t. It may however be something you could negotiate as part of the service. 4. Yes you can still do a service plan with previous independent servicing.
  12. Accountants know the cost of everything but don’t know the value of anything
