  1. Playing music like that in the car I would think 🤣
  2. I hear it’s been added to the agenda for the COP26 summit too
  3. This is the problem with OTA updates for me. The plus is that today you have more features than yesterday but the downside is that something that was working yesterday doesn’t work today. I’d much rather see less regular updates that are well tested and work perfectly than see manufacturers rushing to roll out regular updates that perhaps have not been as fully tested as they should have been. Is this really progress? I think not.
  4. A whole thread devoted to what type of washer fluid people use. It all happens on here doesn’t it 😉🤣🤣🤣
  5. Not a standard fitment for my NX so no I didn’t.
  6. Got Goodyear Efficient Grip SUV tyres on mine. They are superb. Brilliant in summer, great in the wet, quiet and plenty of grip in all conditions. The car’s secondary ride - how it deals with surface imperfections - has also been transformed.
  7. Doesn’t surprise me. The value if used cars has risen quite a bit. The dealership is laughing all the way to the bank if they get yours for £18.5k I would think.
  8. Maybe move house to an area which has much less (car) crime? I’d hate to have that much anxiety every time I parked my car. Hope your new pride and joy doesn’t get done.
  9. Steve is obviously viewed as high risk 🤣😉
  10. Yes I’ve had those tyres on a rear wheel drive Jaguar in temperatures of 15 degrees. On a long run they were awful. Almost like driving on melted tarmac. Or at least what I imagined that would be like!
  11. Then again your part-ex value may have increased. Used car values are rising.
  12. I’ll go with Verstappen Hamilton Perez in hindsight of course 😀
  13. It looked like a tourist driving a hire car picked up from Heathrow encountering a roundabout for the first time and not knowing what to do once on the roundabout. Each following car then had to drive around the stationary car on the roundabout. Totally unexpected. The winter tyres just gripped and stopped the car.
  14. My experiences are that winter tyres are noticeably better in wet weather below about 7-8 degrees C. Also that winter tyres feel pretty horrible at temps over about 11 degrees especially when they are very hot on a long drive. You really can feel the tread blocks moving around especially on turn in to a corner. I haven’t ever run a hybrid Lexus on winter tyres but always did on a number of powerful rear drive Jaguars. I used to change to winter tyres in early November and back to the normal tyres at end March latest. Trouble is winter often gives daily temperatures of 12 degrees. I’m also pretty sure that winter tyres saved me from rear ending a car on a cold wet winter day as a car in front just stopped for no reason on a roundabout by Heathrow.
  15. 150 a litre, £6.75 a gallon, say 40mpg, so just under 17p per mile for fuel alone. Factor in insurance, servicing, etc and motoring is getting to be very expensive. Negative depreciation at the moment which eases things a little but even so, are we approaching an era where motoring starts to become too expensive for more and more people?
  16. Been out and about today. 147.9 at Shell, 144.9 at Esso and 141.9 at Gulf round where I live. The 150 a litre is just around the corner I think. All for normal unleaded.
  17. Hi. You’ll find loads of buying advice and ownership experiences in the NX forum if you look for it. Happy to answer any specific questions.
  18. We are certainly funding the growth of out pensions by making these companies more profitable.
  19. A part of me believes this is just oil companies and retailers recouping lost profits during the various lockdowns
