  1. Hi Andrew My IS300h Premier (see in For Sale section!!!) has 18" wheels but they are different width front and rear the front tyres are 225/40/18 and the rear are 255/35/18. My premier has all the extras and a comfortable ride, and optionally the Relax warranty through to October 2027, also being 2016 year has only a small increase in VED from £10 to £20 pa from next April, where as post April 2017 300h models will be £180 pa unless a new Government changes the rules. Good luck in your search.
  2. For sale with Easter holiday reduction before going to PX next week Now £12,750 with Relax warranty and MoT to 30th October 2024. Call or message for details thanks for looking
  3. On my list of garages suggested by LOC members is Grove Garage, Brighton Might be worth getting a quote as the RX plugs change is quite a labour intensive job. I am sure Grove Garage labour rate will be less than Lexus.
  4. You could ask hybridbatterysolutions and see what Richard think's of the model and mileage.
  5. You could try Summertown Garage, Kidlington, they specialist in EV and Hybrids for a 2nd opinion.
  6. Marius, checkout my advert on the For Sale page, exactly what your looking for and will save you £££'s with Lexus warranty, only £10 per year tax. Message me. or phone if you have any questions thanks Dave
  7. Black Friday price reduction to £14,950 Includes Lexus warranty until March 24 Then Relax warranty until October 24 A Service Plan in place until October 25 which you can take over if you wish, Also would consider a PX for a Passat or similar size auto estate car.
  8. Hello All, I am looking to maybe selling my IS300h as I need a bit more space (if only Lexus did an estate car!!, I don’t want an SUV, had RX’s previously) I purchased the IS from Lexus in March this year. It needs a service and MoT next month to comply with the Used Approved warranty. The Used Approved warranty will continue until next March and the Relax warranty when serviced to October 2024. Can anyone tell me if I sell the car privately are either of the warranties transferable to the new owner? Thanks Dave
  9. If you take the time to get a quotation for Lexus hybrid model warranty from a third party you see how cost effective Lexus servicing with Relax warranty is. And you need to add the cost of the service its self from any independent!! It's still worth while paying for the extended warranty for over 10 year old models. If fact the third party warranty for over 10year or 100k is very limited cover.
  10. I would let your nearest Toyota dealer look at it given the that the Prius and the Ct200 are one of the same. They will have a better understanding if its EGR, spark plugs, leads or coils. Or use and Lexus/Toyota independent if one near enough to you. Lexus Indie Garages.docx
  11. Is it worth getting a second opinion from an experienced auto welder? Second hand subframe etc sounds a very expensive solution.
  12. I would have thought if you want to seal it something like Dow 799 Glazing silicon clear might do the job. https://www.screwfix.com/p/dow-799-glazing-silicone-clear-310ml/66307
  13. If you watch the video on Toyota RAV 4/Lexus eCVT kindly posted by VFR last month it gives a detailed description of the 'gearbox' and electric motors. You will also see the mechanism when park is invoked. Clearly not sufficient except when parked on truly flat road. enjoy
  14. I think the hybrid test is quite involved and certainly worth the £60 for the diagnostic checks and 12 month hybrid warranty that follows. https://mag.lexus.co.uk/lexus-hybrid-health-check-2/ Dave
  15. Given the preparation required and the application of ceramic coating would anyone thing the GEN 3 Glasscoat treatment offered by my Lexus dealer at £399 worth it? thanks Dave
  16. I think you will find that the rear screens play from a DVD player under the drivers seat. The sound is thru IR headphones. Compatible items I think are on Ebay and the like for about £30 and Lexus items c£110. Also the DVD player is controlled with a remote handset but don't know if non Lexus units are available. Probably cheaper and easier to hang an upto date video player screens off the front seats. good luck with sorting it out
  17. Hi everyone I am thinking upgrading my RX400h (2007) to a 450. If I do the 400 will appear in the For Sale in the next few days, In the meantime can those who have a 450 , may have taken the same upgrade route please give me their opinion on what I can expect from the 450 (probably 2010/2011) compared to the 400. What mpg do you typically get. It would be used mainly for short journeys under 10 miles with occasional longer 200-300 roundtrips. Your comments will be most welcome. Thanks Dave
  18. Hi Che The cheaper one is for 2005-2008 models which I have, the more expensive is for 2003-2005 I don't know why there is a difference. If you see the post reply from Colin Barber his advice to my question was to put the battery on a smart charger rather than a longer run. I have now done this twice this week and unfortunately the recharge leaves the battery at as 'weak' status on my charger showing only at 12.15 v also confirmed with the reading on my multimeter. This was a new battery only installed for 6 weeks so not impressed. I am in discussion with LPD about the situation so will keep you posted. cheers Dave
  19. Thank you all for the advice I will put a/c and have to eat humble pie with the misses as I've always moaned when she left the a/c on!! many thanks
  20. I'm a bit old skool my first car with a/c was a Ford Granda c1986 so have only really put the a/c unit on when I need the cooling. Reading a recent post on the GS450 page got me thinking about my RX400h should I leave the a/c switched on all the time and just set the temp required?, does this have a noticeable detriment to fuel consumption as it did in my Granada days? thanks chaps
  21. I have recently changed the 12v battery for a Toyota one from lexuspartsdirect, £57 with 3 days delivery so pretty good. The previous one was 3 years old and was not at fully recharging hence the change. Like a lot of members at the moment I only do a couple short journeys a week so try to do a longer one once a week. Would it be beneficial to help discharge it a bit before the longer journey or connecting my battery charger by leaving the lights/radio ???on for 10-15 mins? Any advice from you technical chaps appreciated. thanks
  22. Jim its not really close to criminal. What would an independent dealer sell your SC for £6,000, they buy it in at £4,000 less second hand car VAT £336 less cost to collect from Lexus dealer and they have to provide 3 months warranty. The Lexus dealer sells at £4,000 less second hand car VAT £168. Added to which the Lexus dealer doesn’t want the PX in the first place. Not as convenient but post an advert in 'For Sale section' I'm sure it would sell quickly.
