  1. I think the rain sensor is in the centre unit. Think it is this - the camera for the auto headlamps/road sign recognition. Also auto high beam if fitted.
  2. Traction battery powers the hybrid system which is about 288 volts. Connect to this, they touch the CC, shock ending. Not allowed of course!!! 😒
  3. Road sign assist or lane tracing assist camera. Have the same camera in the CT.
  4. Totally agree. You even see it on this site (do not mention cycles). Open debate, discussion, the concept of free speech, an exchange of ideas to improve understanding. Near enough dead. What is worse, is that this has been hastened by those who should protect such ideals, the press, education (especially university). Is there one thing which may have caused this? Access to social media applications, the misuse of information for power and money. Control the information and you begin to control how people think. You also become very rich. Governments have already lost control.
  5. Interesting choice. I have used auto climate control cars for over 20 years now, and have always let the car make the choice and never turned the air con off. In all that time I have never had an issue with damp or condensation inside any car. The tech is there for a reason, use it.
  6. Mine is almost 26 years old and still going strong. Doubt any BEV will last like that.
  7. The keys with the latest CT, slide apart. Almost broke the key trying to prise it apart following the videos.
  8. Good question, Tell us John, pretty cool.
  9. Well Paul has solved my problem. I use both my keys, I just pick up one from the Key box when going out, having taken note one is set at 22 and the other at 23. So when I thought the temperature had self changed I just picked a different key. Live and learn.
  10. Do not forget the Prius Rap and the scooter man,
  11. With vanilla cream in the middle it seems!
  12. I do tend to change each year, looking for the better price, not the cheapest. Currently with Darwin for my partners Aygo, she had a small knock (non fault) just before Christmas, all credit to Darwin it was all sorted out and back with her in a week. Other experiences may differ.
  13. They are biscuit's, or cookies as our America friends would say.
  14. Well I love driving it. 26 years old, drives like new, never let me down, bullet proof car, even has the made in Japan sticker on the window. Does it show its age, of course, but no rust issues, has to use E5 but that is okay. No electric windows or any such issues to go wrong, the only extra seemed to be a heated rear window. As the saying goes - does what it says on the tin. Wish they made cars to such standards today.
  15. I have up to now decided not to comment, because it is to easy to fall into a pro/anti stance and get stuck. So the post above shows how a real debate could go if that was allowed to happen I am not anti BEV, I would likely buy one now if the prices were more realistic, but, there is a but: it would be a second car, charged at home and only used for local trips (no more than 50 Miles). In fact it would replace my Starlet, which I use for that purpose. It would not however, be any use for me on my regular trips to and from Norfolk, for that I would wish to stick to ICE. That I think for most town/city folks who can home charge, would be a good solution. Pollution in towns/city would be greatly reduced, however, it assumes everyone who could home charge would be able to afford two cars, not likely I feel. Other drivers who truly fit into the small mileage users often quoted to support BEV could be catered for if the Government would get their act together re public charging points (as pointed out by many other users). However, I do still feel this is aimed at mainly those living town environments. So to finish, I feel we need a hybrid solution, that allows those that can to make a switch to BEV and those who needs are different stick with ICE. Build a proper public charging network, bring the price of BEV down, and stop making it anti/pro one or the other and many would I feel make the change. Pollution would then be greatly reduced, if that really is the problem? What is stopping this? The failure today to allow any real debate of an issue, thus seeking actual solutions that would work. A Government that panders to pressure groups to keep them quiet, but making ill thought through decisions and then making no effort to any make them work. Allowing the collection of taxes in every form to become the focus, rather than the solution of the problem (if it exists).
  16. I will now be checking as I drive, because I have seen this happen (I am sure I have) or have I imagined it? Could be age related!
  17. So my need to check has lead me to have a scan of the relevant part of the Manual (Yes Roy of the Rovers - John). Auto setting on climate control, appears to alter the temperature within the car up or down to maintain the required setting. It is not clear, however, if that should appear as a change of temperature on the panel. Question still open on that. Very clear that fan settings will be controlled by the car and will switch and change as required. Recirculate - Found this in the manual; ●Outside/recirculated air mode may automatically switch depending on the temperature setting or the inside temperature. So it appears normal for the car to decide whether to use recirculating or outside air, when set at Auto. I think my experience is likely to be normal, unless someone on here as more detailed knowledge?
  18. Well it does, that was why I asked if that was correct. Currently a bit cold and I have set the temperature at 23, while driving and as the car warms up, the system will reduce that to 22. Then it may move it back up to 23. I thought that was normal, now I am not sure!!
  19. Have you thought about a newer Is 300H? Is you want to change and improve what you have.
  20. Never seen the others happen, but when set on Auto (which is pretty much all the time), my climate control moves the temperature up and down, as well as change from outside air to recirculate and alter the fan speeds; to deliver the best outcome in the car. I have always considered that normal, hopefully I am right about that.
