  1. there are two types of zorst (cat section)on the IS200 pre May 2000 and post May 2000 same applies to brake lines
  2. oooooooooops. Can't believe its the bottom end.............well hope so. Keep me updated please
  3. you should get some return on the sale of the V-Pro at least
  4. Marc is of the view its torque handling figure is not enough for his future plans
  5. I'd respectfully suggest you give Abbey a call yourself. Ask for an update from Mark there. THey will give you the full SP with no bulls**t From what I know its the way its wired in thats causing various conflicts. I've been told that the IS200 HKS F-Con V Pro install was marketed as being ready before it was fully tested. This was by someone who recently left Tdi. Dave Reads car is now running fine which lends some credance to my previous statement. Yours was a fairly early install I believe.
  6. We used Noble Motorsport from Chesterfield. No issues what so ever. They have done several cars for me and so far no problems. Not cheap or quick but they know there stuff. For what its worth I'd suggest a LINK or MOTEC over the e-manage as they are better.
  7. bummer--have you spoken to Abbey yourself ?
  8. Be good to see your motor mate as its another Aztec fire :D will have to see when you pick it up mate and maybe if i can meet up with you on your way down to WIM or something? Yeah cool... Will keep you informed of my movements as im not sure exactly yet as to when ill be leaving charlesworth etc... but have an appointment at wim on sat. 22nd... so kinda working around that... Getting the aztec fire resprayed when the s/c is finished.. :) not changing the colour obviously.... ;) Steves hoping to get most of it done this week....................
  9. you should not have to fit a bigger/better oil pump...................
  10. you will get a knock knock noise all the time..................
  11. should of emailed me...............had a set in stock which I've just sold TTE ones are better than the budget TEINs you will not get any knocking ...
  12. helix organic is a good choice. Actually lighter in feel to the OEM one. Some people change the flywheel to a lightweight one at the same time... DON'T get a paddle clutch as its too severe for daily driving IS300 clutch will not fit
  13. To be honest not sure what the handling will be like but with WIM on the team and lots of testing we'll get her handling as best as we can :) Next year nippon challenge is 99% sure of having silverstone tyres as a sponsor so tyres will be a little cheaper than usually. But when needing 265+ wide things are bound to be a little pricey LoL weight of engine should be about the same....... Doing Time Attack cost me £8k this year and i missed 2 rounds................get your piggy bank ready
  14. 2 weeks. everything is ready to go. Only C-One anti rolls to come they will be there next week
  15. FMIC is seperate................... as is ecu
  16. sold last kazama one 2 years ago............
  17. Tom's having the geo done @ Tony's as well on the way back....may pop over for a look see
  18. 285 quid for the ultimate :D one of the reasons i am going for it is thor is about 25 min away from me so the mapping is not a problem. I assumed the knock sensor wasn't needed but wasn't a100% so i thought it best to enquire. Basically the emanage will go in soon to prep ready for a turbo upgrade, if i lay the foundations now it prevents swearing at the car later. TBH i was very tempted by the fcon v pro but i'm not going to go mad with it (yet) if it has to go that way in the future then i'll consider it then. I'm well aware its a piggyback but i have no need for anything more currently don't want to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut. As for the wideband the AEM one is is the one i am looking at I meant has there been any more news from the emanage install not if it had a firmware update etc lol Thors LINK ecu is better than greddy...................also MOTEC............
  19. austin..they are cheap for a reason................unlike motec/aem/hks et al these take the signal from the oem ecu then change it and send it back............the other do it directly so are more efficient............ I'd also say at what stage are you going to fit it ? mine has v spec FMIC - 3 " straight thru zorst -- 1.2 bar boost -- RSK ind kit -- bigger fuel pump and i'm running on the standard ecu............has run 20k miles like this with 100% reliability............and the car has been used not fannied about like most.............2 nurburgring trips..............1 series of Time attack...... 3 rounds of TSS...... 3 track days Mr T has a excellent knock sensor fitted for you............. I'd only suggest changing ecu if you are going big single or twin hybrids.............then you run the risk of breaking the gearbox
  20. heres a couple courtesy of norwich photography Looking good !
  21. I do indeed sell them BUT am not sure if they are worth the money.
  22. Thanks Jason, So looking at that the gti-16 should be a class D so might be worth the £300 the car costs to buy :winky: There are a few of them in that class. just need it MOT'd really .....as I said above get someone to share it and the running costs are halved..... The cars taxed and MOT'd mate and a cheap way of getting going me thinks?? And got to start somewhere Do you think the AE92? Corolla gti-16 would make a good 1st car to give it a go Dave?? With a few mods of course? excellent car...........you'll have loads of fun
