Sounds like BS to me. I fitted GSD3 to my last car, no issues, very pleased with them too. They outperformed the set of Toyo Proxes T-1S I had previously, which was a shame cause I liked the Toyo, especially the price ;) Be interested to see what the new T-1R is like, as the biggest issue was the shoulder wear, which this addresses apparently. I might go so far as to suggest you use a different tyre fitter....one who knows what they are talking about

I contacted Mark at TDI, unfortunately they do not offer the TRD bushes for ARB :(

You could try Greenlight (www.greenlight-insurance.com) they use Highway though, same as Adrian Flux. Good bunch of guys though, they actually understand what you are talking about when you call about mods.

The price for the armrest @ $169 is correct. The shipping is to be confirmed, but I cannot imagine it being any more than $45.

This was the reason I didn't go for an IS300... I would prefer a manual. So instead I opted for IS200 Sport and will be forced to bolt on a supercharger :)

There is a product called 'ReadyOn' which some guys on MP3car.com were looking at. Basically works kind of like hibernate but more advanced, my understanding is that it saves a 'state' of your machine, and restarts to that exact state each time, fast!. This would obviously mean it would not return to the song/album or point you were at when you shut it down, so last I saw the guys were experimenting with ini files and keeping them and the mp3's on a seperate parition, so it would start up Frodoplayer for example, read the ini file off drive D and resume whatever you were last playing. It would also make the image smaller having the mp3s on a seperate partition, and allow it to start quicker. It was about £25 to buy I think...

If you're coming up the M6, drop onto the M56 heading towards Chester & North Wales, come off at M56 J10 and follow A49 up into Warrington. You will go over a bridge and through various lights, until you will come to a mini roundabout with bus station on right, bear right following the main road over a large hump back like bridge, get in the left lane, you will hit some lights. You will see Mr Smiths night club on the left (the one the broadcast the Hitman and her from .. Micheala Strachen..hmmm... teenage memories), sorry, head past Mr Smiths, (you will also see signs saying Liverpool and Warrington Bank Quay Station). You will pass MFI, look for a turning on your left (about 100 yards before the train station on the bend, if you pass it, you've gone too far), you will essentially be turning back on yourself, follow road around you wil under a bridge, its on the other side :) Make sense?

If you're going to use the stock rear speakers, just make sure you get the loading right. The woofers are only 2 ohms, and not all amps, built-in or otherwise are 2 ohm stable. You will need at least a four channel amp if you want to run front & rears, and some passive crossovers for the fronts.. or go for a 6 channel amp and run the actively rather than passivley. Have a look here its a 6 channel amp, I had one in my Impreza, reasonable sound, and only £149 now! Was £00 when I got it! Also has built in xovers, have a look, will be well worth the investment for the quality in sound. If you want to learn more about this kind of stuff, go have a look at www.talkaudio.co.uk, they have a good classifieds secton too! You will see RazRankin & Mr Singh on there from LOC too I have an Autoleads facia adaptor I'm not going to use if you have trouble getting hold of one.

Removing the cat completely should not throw the car into safe mode, well I'd be surprised if it did. It never effected my Impreza when I fully decatted that. If all this does if a de-precat then to be honest, like Gord & others have said, I'd rather pay the extra and get some gauranteed extra bhp from a well researched manifild which would also remove the pre-cats. Now if you're talking a full decat, as I mentioned before, the results should be reasonable, and worth looking at :)

TheDon: Agreed, although I am hoping to get an SC in the not too distant future... I assume that if I were to go for one I would not have to change it in the event of fitting the SC? I had considered going for a full manifold, I am watching to see what the results are like when they have been tried

Be interesting to see what power gains you'd get from an NA car.. I have not fitted an SC yet if you want a volunteer ;)

I might be interested in going down the decat route, maybe you can get a bit more info. Whe I decatted my Impreza it went from 208 to 236bhp.. (with an Induction kit too) So is there a choice between removing just the precats.. or a full decat ?

I'm glad you got your screen back up and running, ribbons seem a bit dodgy, will have to be careful when dismantling mine. Bit of a bugger about your Opus though :( Sounds more opLus than Opus.. they have a good rep too. Hope you get it sorted..
