  1. If they supply bulbs they will fit.. if not, yes, you will have to paint some up. Email them for the shipping cost before you buy them!
  2. They look same as the ones I have. I think there are members who have ordered from those guys too. Have no idea about them not fitting the Sportcross, but they should fit the IS200 saloon no problem
  3. You did go to www.ebay.com .. and type IS300.. as they don't have the IS200 in the US
  4. Easy to fit, just remove trim, unplug harness and unbolt them. The bulbs are what is being discussed here. Javadude has found using a transparent red glass paint on the standard bulbs yields the best results, which is what I found a UK supplier for
  5. There's usually some for same on Ebay, particularly from the US. Shipping is not too expensive, especially with the rather favourable exchange rate ;)
  6. I found a UK supplier! http://www.artmail.co.uk/craftp.shtml
  7. I had the pleasure of visiting Tony, aka Wheels-inmotion.co.uk on Friday and just wanted to say what a top bloke he is. Highly professional and dedicated to his craft, Tony took the time and effort to discuss my needs as a driver and what I wanted from my car & its geometry. He explained very clearly what was involved, and went through the pros and cons of various tweaks and settings which could be adjusted. He was happy to explain any question I had, and has done a splendid job of the setup on my car. I can highly recommend him to anyone, not simply for value for money, but because he actually cares about what he's doing, and the time and effort taken is refelcted in the results.
  8. Good point Tony, that would do it too for the first few hundred miles
  9. Have they altered your tyre pressures at all? They are buggers for changing them to 'factory' which doesn't suit everyone. That could effect your grip quite a lot. Wearing on the edges of tyres is very common with under-inflation.. check if both the inner and out egdes are worn, it might not be your alignment
  10. Scarface: I've seen those chrome rings on ebay.com .. they are from the states. They make them for the main light clusters too
  11. Do it Brett, you know it makes sense ;) I think Fargo has sold the spare Opus :(
  12. Welcome to the forum! There are a couple of folks undertaking similar projects to what you are proposing. Fargo has put a carputer in his car, and done some impressive fabircation work to install his screen. Brettster has a carputer installed, and has mounted his screen in a similar fashion to that which you propose. I'm installing a carputer, and using the OEM satnav housing to mount my screen with the PC in the boot. For more info on audio, you can use www.talkaudio.co.uk and to get information on the xenarc/lilliput debate and find out all about specialist carputer software go look at www.mp3car.com For radio, have a look at the Dlink USB radio device. This will work with Frodoplayer and others, allowing you to have radio on your carputer. You can maintain the 6 channels, you'd simply need to have a six channel amp (or 2 channel + 4 channel) If you use an OPus PSU, you should be able to shutdown or put your PC instandy, talk to Brettster/Fargo about this, they have their carputers up and running, and I know Fargo uses the Opus, and Brett puts his PC in standby frquently
  13. Get some insulation tape and apply it to the threads and down the shaft where the plastic bit inside the boot fits.... reapply gear knob... makes it much quieter :)
  14. Athlon XP3200 Asus A7N8X-E DELUXE Motherboard 1gb Corsair XMS C2Pro RAM 256mb ATI Radeon 9800 XT Creative Audigy 2 ZS 16x (DVD)40x(CDROM) SCSI SLOT DVDROM 16x DVD-RW 4 x 18gb SCSi 10k U160 discs (use server for storage) 17" Hercules Prophetview TFT (100 fps no problems) MS Pro wireless keyboard & mouse Liquid cooled CPU (Thermaltake Aquarius 2) Termaltake Xaser 6000 case.. lots of ultra quiet fans Looking to go Athlon 64 soon.. and demote my XP3200 to becoming my HTPC.. which will have LOTS of storage Did you find big jump in performance going 2gigs ram Brett ? Been playing Doom3.. have resisted Half Life 2.. until now ;) Bit of a Command & Conquer Generals fan too :)
  15. Another vote for 98SE here, very stable, and you'll get the most of your existing equipment performance wise. XP runs like a dog unless it has 512mb RAM or more, with notable performance improvements the more ram you throw at it. (running a gig myself :) ) New mouse & keyboard... I am intrigued, please explain Mr Saint As for your broadband issue, as mentioned by the gents above, you're best bet is to get a router and connect your PC via ethernet. You get the benefit of the router being permanantly connected to the net (leave it switched on), so no 'dialing up' with the modem. You could get one with a built in firewall for extra protection, and most offer local IP addressing which adds an extra layer of protection as you hide behind NAT. Can explain if you like, but you'll get bored... its a good thing :) Will also make it very easy to share your internet connection with other PCs in the future
  16. Gord should have a rought idea having had his recently dyno'd
  17. Mattcook: I have a brand new one I bought from same people on Ebay which I have never fitted, its still in the box. Don't need it any longer due to a change of plans (satnav housing :) ) Yours for £50 + poastage?
  18. If its just auto power on for the liliput you want... you can have a look here its a solution to modify the lilliput so it auto powers on :)
  19. I only had chance to take a quick look the other day. It looks to me like the whole switch/light panel comes off, I imagine its just clipped either at the ends or the sides. Try giving it a squeeze and see if it will pop out, I am going to try the same. I want to replace the bulbs with LEDs
  20. Thought it was the other way round, 9005 is main beam, 9006 is dip & fog?
  21. Sounds expensive, I was told 50k service was only about £100.. its my next one, depends what they have to do though
  22. Every 3 months!!! What kind of roads are they driving on? Or should I say dirt tracks? You really shouldn't need to have it checked that often. Realistically, once every 12 months should be adequete. Close monitoring of tyre wear, and regular checkng of tyre pressures is essential, as a lot of adverse tyre wear is due to either over-inflation, or more commonly under-inflation. Excessive tyre wear in middle of tyre indicates over-inflation, and excessive shoulder wear is often caused by under-inflation
  23. I believe you are correct Dave, otherwise we would see a lot of older cars that are not capable of meeting new emission regs being removed from the road. Removal of cats does not automatically mean MOT failure.. thats a myth. If you get car warm enough, it will more than likely go through, especially if you have only removed either pre-cats or the main cat. My Impreza was completely decatted, and passed the emissions tests :)
