Well, I have just had fitted 4 x Goodyear Asymmetric SUV 3's onto my RX450H and have to say that they are terrific, reducing the cabin noise considerably and feeling much more planted. I also have to say my local Halfords did a great job not only fully "sheeting" up inside but also in the boot as I was keeping two of the tyres. And yet again the Gold Card from the LOC played a blinder gaining me 15% off together with the 15% promo Halfords are running my final price netted out at £103.50 per corner 😁 including disposal etc. That's a huge saving over some prices I have seen so are to be highly recommended. Should your local Halfords say your can't have both discounts you can state I spoke to HQ at Redditch who confirmed that you can.

Only wondered the other day Jules how you are getting on with your search, 😁

Linas, dear boy, you are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts! UK NET I repeat NET contributions were second to Germany who, to all intents run the EU. As to gross contributions it's not a simple GDP multiple as you infer. I think you are confused with NATO GDP based contributions of which the UK and Greece come anywhere near their original commitments. As to the British Empire, well as it was never a formal entity therefore it couldn't end as such. But of course it still has 14.overseas territories, the Commonwealth and has gifted the world the English Language of which you are just one of billions of recipients. As to our aggressive behaviour, well, as Christopher Columbus opined "One does not discover new lands without consenting to losing sight of the shore for a very long time. Would you have that courage? If not then be thankful that you are standing on the shoulders of giants my friend.

So John firstly, just taking part brings it's own rewards, secondly, if you ever wish to improve in any competitive endeavor say for example Chess, then the best way to do so is by playing people who are better than you. Rudyard Kipling in his poem "If" refers to triumph and disaster as two imposter to be treated the same and MS Dhoni the cricketer says, I have 3 dogs at home. Even if I win or lose a series they treat me the same way. 🍾 Regarding "Johnson"? You must be referring to Gentleman Jack Johnson no doubt and not our highly successful twice London Mayor and now Prime Minister of the UK 😂

I think history lesson outcomes in France should be paid for from our overseas aid budget providing we supply content particularly when it comes to "having a knock against St George and the 3 Lions "

John, you should follow cricket more closely because apart from a result, win/lose (tie/draw) there is the concept of "playing the game" And it is clear that the EU is, and has never been a signatory to the fair play code of conduct, consider the treatment of Greece as an example. So would you really want to play in that particular league? Oh, and just in case this is a deviation from Lexus topics just look at the situation in Jersey right now? With the threat of a 37% cut in electricity supplies to the island how would you, as the Parliament, prioritise supplies? Would your UX300E have priority or would you be only be able to recharge on odd or even days for example? Welcome to the future of unrestrained constraints 🔮

Linas, I have no issues with you selectively quoting 96% which demonstrates what a supplicant and supportive member of the EU the UK was. However you don't go on to say, as such you would have expected and in addition given a huge net contribution from the UK should have meant us being hugely influential and successful in legislative terms would you not? So here are the facts :- "The lack of influence is quite marked. Over the past twenty years, which is roughly the time that the Euro has been in existence, there have been 72 occasions in the Council of Ministers where the United Kingdom has opposed a particular measure. Of those 72 occasions, we have been successful precisely 0 times and we have lost 72 times"

Believe it or not Steve after 70 it is a 3 year renewal cycle. but it's at no cost 🎉🎉🎉 However you have to self-declare fitness to drive which could involve your GP in which case they might charge you. There is also a small but vociferous clamour to have 70+ re-tests. 70+ also has an effect in other ways such as insurance especially travel. As to losing a month that happened to me with VED. the dealer signed me off as the new owner on the 27th of February meaning that I had to pay for the whole of February - sneaky 💰 Those are the times when you feel like Horatius on the bridge 🤕

When you get a moment look up Tom Mabe on YouTube and the murder scene - funniest thing ever 🤯

Vladimir loads of scam calls and texts going about, some clever ones like claiming to be from DPD. Firstly, check with your phone provider for any large amounts your monthly bill. Some of these calls if you answer them allow them to charge your account. And now as they have down as a "live" number the calls won't stop until you change your number.

Linas, there you go again 😁 denigrating Insurance companies and "for profit" firms. Are you a "hiding in the closet Marxist" or write for the Morning Star 🤣 if so we should know? It is said far left people employ projection, that is to say accusing people of doing things as they are doing themselves. So we need to know Linas.P who are you scalping today? 💰

Ah, I see Shahpor you are experiencing "Recency Allusion" literally thinking something is recent when it has, in fact, literally been around for hundreds of years and used for emphasis. I will however support you campaigning against the literal blizzard of corporate speak engulfing communications today 👍 -

This may help Linas in reaching a clearer understanding 😎 Linguists are wont to think of words as monocellular organisms that can be traced back to single ancestors via mitosis: to every word supposedly corresponds a single etymology. I argue, however, that this traditional model, which can be labeled “monophyletic,” does not always work in the collectively-negotiated and orally-transmitted field of mythology. The polysemic potential of a mythonym can precisely be a decisive factor for its synchronic election and diachronic retention, inasmuch as homonymy and ambiguity, as linguistic and poetic phenomena, facilitate the synoptic convergence of diverse aspects of a mythical figure in a single name. Case in point: Helen. To a certain degree, the ongoing controversy surrounding her etymology is unnecessary: much of it fades away if one posits a ‘polyphyletic’ model for Helen, in which plural etymologies cooperate, rather than compete. -

Kumho Tyres
Phil xxkr replied to Phil xxkr's topic in RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club
Yes Herbs, I have on the way Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV's. Have similar on my XKR so no reason to doubt the satisfaction quotient. Right now my local Halfords have 15% off 4 and agreed to my LOC discount so all up apx 105 per corner, unbeatable 😎 When I picked up my car from the Lexus dealer they had fitted two new front tyres unfortunately they didn't match the winter rears hence my desire to have a matching set so there is a bargain waiting for a Kumho tyre owner even if you keep them in the garage pro tem. -
Well as you know you can get an mot 30 days before so they are quibbling about days, so as I said ask Lexus customer care for their opinion.
-
I shall be having 4 new matching tyres fitted next week to my RX. When I picked up the car it had Kumho fronts and Yokahoma rears, not ideal, they are 235/55/R19 crugen H91 fitted and are approximately 7 weeks old and covered maybe 700 miles and I wish to sell them as a pair for £120 ovno. Thanks
