  1. Maidstone Lexus had to move due to the workshop being shared with Marshall Hyundai, Maserati etc ....big clash of interests....the service manager and his assistant are going to Canterbury along with some sales personnel also one tech the rest of the Maidstone team (as I was informed by the service receptionist) are going to various Toyota sites until such time as a new bespoke Lexus dealership is up and running where all the team will be reunited, hopefully in time for next year when my F goes for service etc as the Canterbury site is a bit tight for parking.
  2. I believe so as the Toyota and Lexus sites were both Marshalls formerly Motorline.
  3. For anyone in the Maidstone area the Lexus dealer has relocated to Canterbury Lexus (Toyota are across the road to share servicing) where I understand they are looking for a suitable bigger site for the Lexus brand possibly Ashford I am led to believe.
  4. Like yourself I questioned the rear wheel steering as it is my belief the 450h has it and the F (mine) has the TVD so why would it have the rear steer also. Maybe I'll have a trawl through the GS & F brochures that I have.....must get out more 😆
  5. My local Halfords (Autocentre) long ago were extremely good with very knowledgeable mechanics ....should that be technicians?...., apart from the routine servicing work they changed all of my diesel injector seals on my Citroën work van and the usual high mileage disc and pad changes, but due to management restructuring the good mechanics (whom I got to know quite well due to the few vehicles we had going there) all left to be replaced by "service & mot" technicians... after having had my van serviced and mot'd, I had a coincidental problem with my engine temperature sensor (temp gauge went straight off the scale) after it had come out of their workshop I popped back to them to enquire if they had disturbed anything, not blaming them in any way, and if needs be sort the issue for me only to be told "sorry we do not have any staff here with that type of skill set but if you leave it with us we can diagnose the problem for ££££" ....I turned on my heels and found another garage closer to home ....sorry Halfords but you'll not be seeing me again....ironically some of the techs went to work for F1 Autocentres where I now go with my 15yr old van and sons (was my fathers) 23yr old golf .....
  6. My guess is you've got a service due soon....either by mileage or time
  7. Thought this may be of interest to all us GS F owners as its his personal take on the flagship GS model https://youtu.be/QzjNovKbK_s
  8. That's easy ....the wheels come free with the car😄
  9. I called the AA out (homestart) to sort my sons non starting golf mk3 1.4 boggo basic 1994 vintage, and after much deliberation trying this and that came to the conclusion that the crankshaft sensor was the culprit....eerm a car that old doesn't have one!!! but I let him carry on .....bless him he was very green around the ears and had only been with AA for two weeks ....but without the benefit of on board diagnostics he was totally lost and decreed he would recover the car to my local garage where to be fair they were lost after changing HT leads, dizzy cap and rotor came to the conclusion it must be the Hall sensor .....voila !!! after I sourced one from Germany car back up and running .
  10. Have to say, thankfully my F isn't suffering from the delamination problem atm🤞
  11. Is this problem specific to the GS F ? It would be interesting hear from any RC F owners having issues with the carbon trim on their cars as I would imagine the same processes are used on the carbon pieces 🤔.
  12. Did you not get a recall letter from Lexus ? I received two separate letters for each of our cars.
  13. Try Carnoisseur they do the Road Hero range of spacesaver wheels (got one for my F), only trouble is you also purchase another jack and other bits of emergency paraphernalia as it all comes as one kit.
  14. Judging by the reg I'd say it is a northern Ireland registered car
  15. Had my GS 300h serviced 21st April and received Relax warranty email six days later.
  16. Don't suppose you took tyre and wheel insurance out when you purchased the car ?
  17. Had the family GS 300h FSport service, mot, and recall work carried out today at Sidcup Lexus all without a problem same as when my GSF went into Maidstone Lexus ...seems some dealers are more with it than others !!!!
  18. For a courtesy car it was fine but I'd be happy with it nonetheless....each to their own I guess ....mind you the RX I got when my F went for recall work was impressive save for the high theft risk!!!
