  1. That’s a very good question. TBH I really don’t know. I can say however, the last time I was discussing my issues with the after sales manager, he demonstrated to me how the remote locking worked on his car using his phone. Needless to say it operated as intended, whilst mine doesn’t. 🤬
  2. Hi Ken, this is such a disappointment! my feelings are very similar to your own. These issues are spoiling the enjoyment of the car. I’m even more disappointed at Lexus inability to resolve them. I’ve owned the car for more than 14 months now and have been experiencing the same problems from day 1! I’m down to Lexus Edinburgh on Wednesday and if faced with no progress will most likely have a vent and formally request escalation.
  3. I have the Lexus supplied EV charger. I use the hive app to manage the charging. I charged yesterday and on completion of charge a received an error on the app indicating the charger was not connected. I followed he troubleshooting advice, but still no joy. I then called the support line. Apparently it’s a hive app issue affecting a small number of users. They expect resolution within 48 hours.

  5. I’m headed in to Lexus Edinburgh next Wednesday for the fuel flap and the y code registration. Like you my patience is wearing thin waiting for resolution. please keep us posted on how you get on, on Friday.
  6. I’ve been away for a few weeks (7 in fact) On return car was ok. I left it with 85% on EV battery and it was same on return. Put it on charge this afternoon since sun was shining on my PV panels. Fully charged and I’m now showing 43.4/40.3
  7. OK, so dealer has now received feedback from Toyota Europe. They are recommending that dealer performs a “Y code registration” for the vehicle. I’ll get a visit to dealer scheduled for near future. Progress hopefully! As an aside has anyone heard of Y code registration??
  8. Ken, I have identical issues. The after sales manager at Lexus Edinburgh has raised a case for the “no remote locking” with Toyota Europe systems team to try and get a fix. Having said that, it’s is getting on for 2 months now with no feedback. I did get a call earlier this week, they now have the kit in to fix the fuel flap.
  9. An update to this, but not resolution just yet. I tried several different actions and unfortunately it’s worse than I initially thought. My car has no remote locking functioning at all. If I try to lock it from app even before the “doors not closed” notification, it fails to lock and I get a “check your doors” message”. I documented it all and sent it off to dealer who has now forwarded to Lexus, who in turn have passed it on to Toyota Europe.

Hi, looking for input from anyone with a 2022 NX. whenever I leave my car unlocked after 5 minutes I get the following notification in Lexus link app. This is despite all the doors being fully closed. A bit of a pain really, since its difficult to ignore it. It also has the effect of disabling remote access to lock it, as per 2nd pic. This has been happening since I got the car a year ago, although it did disappear briefly, then reappear. I asked the dealer to check it when in for a recall last summer, they told me nothing wrong with car and it must be my phone. My car was in for 1st service this week and I asked them again to investigate. Again, I’ve been told nothing wrong with my car and the first notification is by design and is a security measure and really means “car is unlocked”, they were unable to explain remote locking disabled, but advised that it was not the car, but the app. I did explain that I was not satisfied with response and they have agreed to escalate to Lexus technical team. We’ve agreed I will try several fixes myself over the weekend before I document the issue for them. Can any 2022 NX owners advise if they have the same or similar issue? Thanks in advance. Also, no progress on the stuck fuel flap, I’ve now got the sponge wedge as a temporary fix. They expect an engineered solution around mid April. I’ve since been thinking about the sponge fix and I’ll probably remove it; a sponge potentially soaked in petrol could pose a fire hazard and have other implications should anything untoward happen.

  14. Hi Malcolm, I see you are in Moray and a good ways from dealer (Edinburgh???) I am in similar situation based in Aberdeenshire, I just wondered if you were aware that there is now a Lexus service centre in Aberdeen? I’m having the LTA update done there in a few weeks and will feed back how I got on. If it works it’ll save a 270mile round trip!
  15. Winter is here! We’ve had out first really cold day in NE Scotland. Went out to car earlier and had low tyre pressure warning up. I’m not impressed with the visual display. It flashed up and then disappeared after a couple of seconds. However, the warning stayed active. I then went into vehicle details and had to stop/start the car to get the actual pressure readings up. The refresh took ages, but I could finally see all 4 tyres showing 2.3bar, with three shown in orange in alarm state and the other in white ( not in alarm) I pumped tyres up to 2.4bar, but the alarm persisted. I eventually got the alarm to clear at 2.6bar. I guess my issue is the refresh rate of the actual pressures and the extra pressure needed to clear the alarm. My merc that I traded in for the NX was pretty much instantaneous. ☹️
  16. I’ve just received this recall letter and will get the update done shortly I hope. interestingly, I have noticed the LTA not being as responsive as I would have thought. On my regular run home there are a serious of bends where the car will try to overshoot the double middle line. I’ve tried this section at various speeds and it has always struggled. Once the update has been done it will be good to compare.

  18. Yeah, of course. I’ve had an ongoing issue with the driver profiles not loading. Engaged with Lexus central support and after a few rounds of email ping pong they couldn’t resolve. Nor could my dealer. I eventually found a Lexus USA tech sheet online which fixed the problem, but it is a bit of a bodge since we’re having to use separate keys. The app is not stable. It skips journeys, gets location wrong and has a bit of an issue with confusing miles and kilometres. I’ve also got an annoying notification to my phone from the car advising that one of the doors is not shut properly. This is spurious and on checking the doors are properly closed. My dealer suggested the problem was my phone??? As I said, it’s all new equipment and functionality and likely to require some debugging but I’m more than 6 months into ownership and tbh it’s detracting from my enjoyment of ownership. On the positive side; the car is great to drive and extremely comfortable. The smart stuff that does work as advertised like the adaptive cruise and LTA is great. I am also impressed with the whole EV/HV functions, which operates seamlessly. Lexus need to get their finger out and fix known issues!
  19. I’m undecided if I would recommend to friend…… I like the car and there is a lot to like about it. However, having said that, I am struggling with some of the smart tech. I get that it is all pretty new and there was always going to be a few bugs, but we’re now close to 9 months after release and I’m not seeing any improvement. Lexus tech support is poor and I’m not that happy with dealer support either.

  21. The annoying incorrect notification I used to get saying door not closed fully has now disappeared after app update. So not all bad.
  22. I have identical set up, ie, Alfen charger controlled by Hive. What indication do you get on charger? When I plug it in my charger flashes blue and locks the plug. Then when scheduled start time comes round, the charging starts and the charger light goes green. I have noticed that the Hive software is a bit buggy…….. I can’t select off peak times in the tariff section but have to use schedule function to set the times.
  23. OK, so visited dealer to clear down the 2 recall notices couple of weeks ago. I asked them to check out spurious notification in the app about “door not shut properly”, they said nothing wrong with car, it’s my phone??? Notifications keep arriving! Also had some tech support from one of the sales guys on my profile not loading, I’m afraid to say a complete failure. He did offer up, “it’s all new and we’re still learning”. Frankly, I think it’s pretty poor after sales support/service. However, I did pick up a crib sheet from Lexus USA which I’ve tried and appears to have resolved the problem.
