Has anyone had problems removing rear subframe bolts, were they rusted in or do they come out easy? I need to remove the front nearside bolt and am worried that it will be rusted in and break when I try to remove it. I need to replace the lower subframe stopper. Should I order new bolts as well when getting the part from Lexus?...Thanks.

Mine was doing the same. Cleaned maf and air filter with carb cleaner [k&n filter]. fixed the problem and she got her oomph back.

This happened to my car at that age and i found my pipes between the first and second cats were badly rusted and blowing out behind the heat shields before the second o2 sensors. had new pipes welded in and that was 2 years ago and had no problems since. -

you are right. but the older cars have the same profile front and rear 225/40/17 on front 245/40/17 on rear.

I never let my tires wear down to the 1.6mm legal limit as they are more prone to aquaplaning. and never use cheep tires.

All the wheels are 8j's the 245 tires rub on the front suspension.

putting 225 instead of 245s will lower the gearing because the rolling radius will be less which will make your speedo read high and use more fuel.

I also hate battery cars and will be keeping my Lexus as long as possible.

I've had mine almost 2 years now and love her to bits. Put new struts all round and she drives like a new car and has now 90,000 miles on her. only let me down once and that was the alternator packed in but, this happens to younger cars. had a mate and his packed in on a 3 year old ford.

I think fuel system needs bleed . Im not sure how its done on the lexus

Anyone know a easy way to get some petrol for my lawnmower from my is 250? it cant be done the way i used to do it on my older cars by puting a pipe into the filler neck and sucking some out. Or removing a pipe from the carb and turn the engine over. I dont want to nip out to the petrol station for a ltr or two as my nearest place is about 10 miles away.

lexus dealer. i was able to get new front strut bolts and nuts from them as mine were rusted on and i had to cut the old ones off.- 1 reply

most of the year where I live the temp never reaches 20c and there is always a cool air to keep the car cool with windows open and parked in the shade..
