  1. That’s exactly what I am doing Ken. The “old” app, my current one, works 99% ok for me so until all you who have downloaded the new one have thoroughly beta tested it for Lexus I’m sticking with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it” vibe🙄
  2. If the UX behaves like the 2022 NX then it is definitely not good practice to leave the car in accessory mode to listen to the radio. Why, well from my own experience just a moment before the battery gives up the car makes a few noises, some dash lights flicker and then it locks itself. As mentioned above, you then can’t not only start it but you can’t open any doors. I’ve had this happen twice when fitting & refitting a dash cam and had the pleasure of being locked inside the car with the only way of escape being to climb through the car, release the back of the rear seats and clamber in to the boot where there is a manual way of opening the boot. Not an exit process I can recommend 🙄
  3. Opinions vary but I found the AVS so useful on my RX450h that it was a must have for me when I changed to the NX450h. When in sports mode, sports+ or custom (if selected) it reduces body roll on twisty lanes and to some extent roundabouts (at normal speeds). I find that it also improves the ride on some roads by controlling the damping to make the ride less “jiggily”
  4. From memory “Vehicle Settings” 3rd from bottom icon, then there is a menu item for charging schedule or something related. Wife is out with car atm so can’t be more specific until she returns, sorry
  5. This happened to me recently. It seemed as though the “start now” command had stalled the schedule charging. I did as Colin mentioned, went in to the car settings, deleted the schedule and input the schedule again. Been ok since Easy way to tell, on your app is the day correct for charging?
  6. Apologies, mine is a Milenco Pro on the NX not Stoplock 🙄
  7. Fits ok on a NX, maybe tell us why it doesn’t appear to fit your UX. pictures may help
  8. Yes, in petrol HV mode all of the time. Compared to our previous 2018 model RX the NX falls in to EV mode automatically much more regularly and at higher speeds.
  9. Thanks Colin for looking but I’ve already selected Door Control and after scrolling down to the bottom there is nothing below Door Position. Something is amiss since I’d used it regularly up to 6 weeks ago which coincides with the recall and updates.
  10. Tried to use the kick action to open the tailgate today only to find that it isn’t working (it’s worked ok in the past). I’ve looked through all of the settings but can’t find any particular setting that might turn the kick sensor on or off. The only setting I can find is one to turn the power rear door on/off. No problem, car goes in for 1st service in 3 weeks so I thought the dealership can look at it then. Then I had a thought, could any of the recent recall updates have upset something. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem?
  11. Really, I am surprised at that Colin. Locking wheel nuts are about as much use as a chocolate teapot these days. I removed all 4 in under 5 minutes on my daughter’s Hyundai when she lost the wheel nut key
  12. Gloves to keep your hands clean and a cloth to wipe down the cable before you put it back in the car perhaps?
  13. One other conclusion I’ve come to Malcolm is that, very similar to our RX before, a gentle foot can squeeze a little more mpg out of the car when in HV mode by running the car in ‘normal’ mode rather than ‘eco’. I’ve yet to test this locally in EV mode but the above was tested over circa 2500 miles on long trips of similar/same journeys & routes. Of course traffic, congestion differences etc have to be taken in to consideration but with the RX we never used ‘eco’ mode after the first 6 months of a 4.5 year ownership Re switching between EV and HV when on ‘out of EV range’ trips we also try to mentally analyse how best to maximise the EV range, sometimes forgetting that the car defaults to EV mode when it restarts
  14. I think my point was if they are going to get nicked locking wheel bolts won’t prevent that. If they have been targeted they will be nicked, the tea leafs will be ready prepared to remove the locking bolts - it really is that easy to get them off
  15. Locking wheel nuts hardly present any deterrent to thief's these days. My local mechanic removed all 4 of mine without damage to the wheels on my RX when I lost the key in under 5 minutes
  16. Deb, don’t get uptight about it. It may just be that his dealer had a cancellation and the slot was then given to a waiting customer, or perhaps he has one of the bad dealers who delight in telling porkies just to string the customer along by giving them a date which they know cannot be met. It has happened on here a few times in the past. Either way it’s not worth stressing about. You will love yours so much when it arrives the long wait will be soon forgotten 👍
  17. Definitely strange gremlins in the software that some of you have 🤔 Surely there must be a common denominator with the ones that are having problems. Type of phone etc although if it’s the same when using the portal everything points to something in the software in the car. Honestly, our app works perfectly bar the odd missed journey which is just 1 in the last 3 weeks.
  18. What I find strange Ken is that, during the 4 months that you were having problems with the app etc, ours was and always has been behaving and reporting everything ok, bar the odd missed journey. 🤔 This is both prior and after the recalls.
  19. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you but that does sound like dealer bullshine to me. I hope & pray that I’m wrong
  20. I never dated the ML in the RX, I’m happy to do without since I can’t tell any difference
  21. Yep, we went from a 2018 RX450 F Sport to a new NX450h F Sport. Do we regret it………..No the NX satisfies our needs and the plug in electric range of circa 45 miles combined with averages of 47mpg when in pure petrol mode when venturing out on long trips is certainly helping the motoring budget. 50% of our annual mileage is made up of local trips within that 45 mile range In F Sport spec the car has everything we need & want, including the adaptive damping which makes a difference to the ride on certain roads and not just in the handling. Having had this on the RX it was a must have for us. The NX in F Sport trim also has heated rear seats, unless this has been removed for 2024 models. The downsides, well it is not as luxurious as the RX, particularly the new RX, but then there is quite a cost difference. I would say that the 2018 RX just edges theNX for luxury but we are happy to trade that for the cost savings in fuel. One other downside is that the boot is smaller and storage space inside the car is more limited. Why oh why didn’t Lexus fit those folding front door pockets to the NX 😠 If you can accept that the NX is smaller and a little bit less luxurious then I’d say that the move from RX to NX is no hardship…………………unless of course you are willing to fund a new RX, then…………….
  22. That would depend on the finance company, in particular at what point they charge the interest. TBH I couldn’t be bothered to argue about 1 months interest keeping in mind the overall saving in the PCP deals we had with deposit contributions.
  23. I have ended 2 PCP loans with Lexus/Toyota finance within the first month and only been charged 1 month interest, the most recent Aug last year. Also the same with the wife’s Mazda. Just call them after 2 weeks and say you want a settlement figure. If your loan conditions do not show an ERC penalty then they any charge one.
  24. Sorry, I can’t help you out there. If you can’t find any recommendations my advise would be to visit 2-3 detailers any inspect their work
