  1. As someone who had Dark Rose interior in a RX between 2017 and 2022 all I can say is you will love it 👍. Rest assured it is not bright red and I much preferred it to the brighter red interior of our current NX450h F Sport.
  2. I have an Easee 7kw charger which is linked to the Hive app but also has its own app. Both apps show the amount of KWh added each charge and the cost based upon my tariff. This can be seen for either each charge, month to date, month etc
  3. We bought the PHEV 450h knowing that 50% of the time our journeys would be around town, with return trips within the 40mile PHEV range, and 50% would be long trips of 400+ miles return. Combining all of our long trips together and using the Fuelly app to record them out average consumption in petrol HV mode is 48.8 mpg with most journeys being done keeping to the speed limits +/- a bit
  4. I have found the new multimedia system and particularly the Sat nav element to be the biggest marketing con trick by a car manufacturer since the diesel gate saga. The new Sat nav with so called ‘over the air updates’ is no better than the useless system that was in my 2018 RX. I gave up with it many months ago and now just use car play all of the time. The only thing that bugs me then is that if you want to receive traffic updates on the radio they interrupt car play and the system then reverts to the in built system.
  5. Ours is going in the opposite direction, last nights charge 48.2/45.8 Previous actual had dropped back to around 36 miles due to dual carriageways & other driving conditions though which probably accounts for the lower range showing after the charge
  6. Damn, i would have paid for this as an extra (cost dependent) had it been available on the FSport when I ordered ours. It would help no end trying to exit from our blind driveway but I didn’t want to stretch to the additional cost of the Takumi pack at the time.
  7. Weather warmer and she’s (the wife) getting better 😉, an actual of 43 achieved from previous charge and last nights charge figures showing 50.8 / 46.2. Must be my coaching🙄😉
  8. Latest figures here are 47.6 / 43.3 with an actual from previous charge of 36 with the wife driving again. In fact she’ll be driving all the time now since I’ve had to surrender my licence again for 12 months for the 2nd time in 5 years because of a certain rare health issue which the DVLA & their medical panel don’t have the brains to try to understand.
  9. Similar figures here Ken. Last nights charge 48.1/44.6, but yesterday’s actual achieved from the previous charge, which showed 44.1 with a/c, was a disappointing 33. I should however point out that this is what the wife achieved, she was driving 🙄😉
  10. Last nights charge shows 48.0/44.1 Previous actual 41
  11. Malcolm, I’ve just realised that I should have known the answer to my own observation re the mileage added as shown in the Hive app from a particular charge. No it doesn’t know the make/model of car, but one of the inputs (manual not auto from the car) is the average miles/kWh efficiency which the car shows. Back in the summer mine was showing 3.2 miles/kWh whereas during the Winter this has been 2.7 miles/kWh, hence the 37miles range added is just the simple multiple of 2.7 times the charge accepted by the car of 13.8 kWh (the battery still had a range of 2 miles left, when 0 the car usually accepts 14.4kWh)
  12. Last nights charge 48.3/44.9 One particular point which strikes me about this thread is an apparent discrepancy between the gap of without a/c and with a/c figures that individuals are seeing. For example on my figures above the without a/c figure is 7.6% higher than with a/c, whereas Ken’s figures in his post immediately above it is 12.3% higher. A further point of note is that last night when I plugged in the car it was showing an EV range left of 2 miles. After the charge the range with a/c is 44.9, as stated earlier, but the Hive app shows that the charge added 37miles to the range. I am finding that the number of miles shown as being added from the charge, plus any remaining EV range shown on the dash, is a more accurate reflection of what the actual achievable range is likely to be.
  13. Whilst dealers and manufacturers may try to indicate otherwise, it can only nullify the warranty if it can be proved that the warranty item being claimed for was of a direct result of either the towbar being fitted, including any ancillary fitting such as the wiring etc. As an extreme example if the aircon condenser seized and was subject to a warranty claim which was rejected because of an after market tow bar being fitted the dealer/manufacturer would have to prove that the fitting of such a tow bar either directly or indirectly was the root cause of the aircon condenser seizing.
  14. Agreed, ridiculously so unless there’s a massive reserve tank that doesn’t register on the fuel gauge or miles to empty calculation when it gets lower 🤔
  15. No you are not the odd one out, we now have the new NX and one thing I hate about it is the touchscreen. I am convinced that a touchscreen is more distracting trying to operate whilst driving than the mouse arrangement in my RX4 and more frustrating due to prodding the wrong part of the screen when hitting a minor bump in the road. Yes I can use voice commands and become even more frustrated when the response is generally “sorry, I didn’t hear that”😠 Re your last point, the answer is sweet f all. Journalists just need something to pick on. The way that every journalist always picks on and highlights the CVT box just demonstrates that they don’t have a clue how to drive, particularly when it comes to hybrids with CVT boxes
  16. Disclaimer - my comments below are not intended to offend anyone, they are merely a summary of my thoughts without knowing other people’s circumstances and history. The actual mileage achieved in EV mode is much more heavily dependant on type of driving, traffic conditions and the right foot than it is in ICE mode. My last 2 EV charges have achieved 41 miles because the 41 miles were covered during driving on country lanes near where I live where anyone trying to more that 40mph will constantly have their right foot either on the brakes or accelerator if they tried to drive at more than 40mph. I know from previous experience that I would not achieve anything like 41 miles if I was driving on a dual carriageway at 70mph and having to constantly slow down to negotiate traffic at roundabouts etc. The miles achieved will also depend n how familiar the driver is with the characteristics of hybrid vehicles. MPG achieved in ICE mode only is probably more dependent on type of journey and traffic conditions. I have seen anything between 38mpg and 52mpg on long journeys in pure ICE mode only. Another tip is to manage the use of EV mode and HV mode. For instance if I am cruising on a motorway/dual carriageway, knowing that I will be driving in towns or on country lanes later in the journey, I will select HV mode on the motorway so that I can save the range I have left on EV mode for the town/country lane driving. Apologies if any of this sounds patronising, it is not intended to, it is merely an attempt to answer you questions @Mobeam
  17. Last nights charge 48.1/44.7 Previous charge of 44.5 again achieved an actual of 41 with EV range dropping to zero just as I turned in to the driveway.
  18. Thank you Tony, much appreciated, it is so easy when you know how🤔 I had taken the mechanical key out but was trying to slide it from top to bottom as per the key on my previous RX🙄
  19. My key certainly looks different from the pics in the manual once the “key part” is removed. Can anyone explain which way it slides to get to the battery, tried all ways and it doesn’t want to budge. Also, for those who have changed the battery, did you get any warning that the battery in the fob was low?
  20. last nights charge 47.8/44.5 Actual achieved from previous charge 41
  21. My 5 missing journeys from last week, including 3 from Saturday 4th Feb, actually updated in the app yesterday. Just 1 from Friday missing now🙄
  22. This has been explained previously. It is quite simply a play on wording/translation. It really just a warning that one or all of the doors are not locked.
  23. I always liked the seat colour door cards on my 2018 RX ML sound system was really no better that the standard system on my 2018 RX. - I’d rather the fit a panoramic roof instead. - neither were fitted or offered as an option to the NX450h supposedly due to weight issues, presumably now they must have developed a lightweight ML sound system🤔. ML system is not something I’d pay for as an option based on previous experience. Regarding “real time traffic info,” since Lexus always advertised this as being available on the NX and then changed to “will be available with an OTA update” I do hope they do an update to 2023 model cars and not find themselves guilty of mis-selling.
  24. Actual achieved on the above before ICE kicked in 37 miles with 50%+ on dual carriageways at 65-70mph, which I find reduces the battery range. Last nights charge shows without A/C range @ 47.7 reduce slightly over previous (48.0) but with A/C range increase slightly @ 44.4 (previous 44.1). Very small margins I know but never noticed that before🤔
