  1. Now that is how it should be done. How refreshing to hear of good service. We are all too quick to criticise and complain (often with good reason). Good service should be applauded.
  2. As Wharfhouse above ....Jemca Bracknell did a superb job, especially matching and blending the Sonic Red paint. Also agree on claims management comment.Do choose ideally Lexus/Toyota bodyshop so the Hybrid system is checked,or get a standalone Hybrid healthcheck paid for by Insurers, just in case.
  3. In theory, your insurers won't be paying,as has been confirmed further down the thread. If I was in your shoes,I would hand it over to a claims management firm..and let their pet vultures sort it out but INSIST on a Lexus or approved bodyshop.
  4. Similar happened to me not long after I bought mine. What looked like minor damage ended up at £5000 plus and more besides when a hire car was provided when in for repair.Be aware of Parts shortages delaying things. You must use a Lexus bodyshop as only they will be able to test the hybrid system hasn't been damaged.
  5. Try Carnoisseur..very knowledgeable and helpful.I ordered mine mid afternoon and it arrived 8.30 next morning.Speak to Patrick if you can.
  6. I'm sure that's where most of them live, apart from the ladies local to me who seem to all have the "minus R" edition.(That is the on without an R on the gear lever).
  7. I think the lightbar in the middle is an accessory.
  8. For the avoidance of doubt,I assume you are referring to a doctor at the camp.
  9. I see Land Rover are now relying on good luck charms to keep their vehicles working...at least I think their DRL seem to resemble lucky horseshoes.
  10. Mind you, I’m also losing interest in F1 for similar reasons. These days the place to see really competitive on-track racing is at a Touring Car event. Better still, a Classic Car meet with the heady aroma of Castrol R! Agree strongly with both of you. The very very few Formula E(ugh) races I've bothered to watch and stay awake through are as boring as hell.It sounds like I've left the hoover running in the hall. The very limited coverage of Goodwood Revival was more interesting than the whole F1 season.Maybe the odd numbered cars should race clockwise and the evens anticlockwise.
  11. This will probably equate to putting a lit cigarette in the petrol tank..but here goes... I've just read in the Nov. Issue of Motor Sport that the organisers of Extreme E (the all electric off road racing series) are about to start Extreme H,a new hydrogen powered series. They say that it is likely the E (battery) series will just disappear. Is this further evidence of the fact that battery power is the wrong approach?
  12. I had whittled it down to Hedge End and Swindon, having had (mostly) negative reports about Reading...even though they are my nearest dealer(I live roughly midway between Newbury and Basingstoke). I' m very happy with the service from Hedge End and what swung it for me was that they offered the Lexus Owner Club discount. By the way,Reading didn't even answer their phone when I rang around looking at service costs. All I spoke to ,or was able to speak to,were the same price, but only Hedge End offered the discount. I'm glad Swindon are performing properly for you....they get consistently good feedback.
  13. I'm too frightened to post anything in case I tempt fate.
  14. Sorry to hear that Charlie. You've not had a good experience there.....these people often wonder why they lose business..
  15. A screenshot from the earlier version of Lexus Link...
  16. Going off topic a little, but did you get your poor dipped beam resolved, Charlie?
  17. Thank you both,Colin and Brian ,for your suggestions.
  18. I thought this might photo be relevant...now and always..
  19. I've got a 2020 RC300h,which wouldn't start this morning.CalledLexus Roadside Assistance who turned up and jump started it. As soon as I tried to start,I guessed that it was the 12v battery.I think I now need to get a trickle charger, but which make and model...Ctek and Noco are mostly recommended here..so any suggestions as to which particular model I should go for?.There is power to the carport where the car is kept To add to this, it may be useful for the charger to also charge a 21ah lawnmower battery. Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.
  20. On the RC control panel it's the button, top right, depicting 2 people, one behind the other, with an airflow icon pointing at their heads.Make sure the rear vents are switched on as well.
  21. It restricts the air flow to the front of the cabin..read your manual,it tells you most things.
