  1. For the avoidance of doubt,I assume you are referring to a doctor at the camp.
  2. I see Land Rover are now relying on good luck charms to keep their vehicles working...at least I think their DRL seem to resemble lucky horseshoes.
  3. Mind you, I’m also losing interest in F1 for similar reasons. These days the place to see really competitive on-track racing is at a Touring Car event. Better still, a Classic Car meet with the heady aroma of Castrol R! Agree strongly with both of you. The very very few Formula E(ugh) races I've bothered to watch and stay awake through are as boring as hell.It sounds like I've left the hoover running in the hall. The very limited coverage of Goodwood Revival was more interesting than the whole F1 season.Maybe the odd numbered cars should race clockwise and the evens anticlockwise.
  4. This will probably equate to putting a lit cigarette in the petrol tank..but here goes... I've just read in the Nov. Issue of Motor Sport that the organisers of Extreme E (the all electric off road racing series) are about to start Extreme H,a new hydrogen powered series. They say that it is likely the E (battery) series will just disappear. Is this further evidence of the fact that battery power is the wrong approach?
  5. I had whittled it down to Hedge End and Swindon, having had (mostly) negative reports about Reading...even though they are my nearest dealer(I live roughly midway between Newbury and Basingstoke). I' m very happy with the service from Hedge End and what swung it for me was that they offered the Lexus Owner Club discount. By the way,Reading didn't even answer their phone when I rang around looking at service costs. All I spoke to ,or was able to speak to,were the same price, but only Hedge End offered the discount. I'm glad Swindon are performing properly for you....they get consistently good feedback.
  6. I'm too frightened to post anything in case I tempt fate.
  7. Sorry to hear that Charlie. You've not had a good experience there.....these people often wonder why they lose business..
  8. A screenshot from the earlier version of Lexus Link...
  9. Going off topic a little, but did you get your poor dipped beam resolved, Charlie?
  10. Thank you both,Colin and Brian ,for your suggestions.
  11. I thought this might photo be relevant...now and always..
  12. I've got a 2020 RC300h,which wouldn't start this morning.CalledLexus Roadside Assistance who turned up and jump started it. As soon as I tried to start,I guessed that it was the 12v battery.I think I now need to get a trickle charger, but which make and model...Ctek and Noco are mostly recommended here..so any suggestions as to which particular model I should go for?.There is power to the carport where the car is kept To add to this, it may be useful for the charger to also charge a 21ah lawnmower battery. Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.
  13. On the RC control panel it's the button, top right, depicting 2 people, one behind the other, with an airflow icon pointing at their heads.Make sure the rear vents are switched on as well.
  14. It restricts the air flow to the front of the cabin..read your manual,it tells you most things.
  15. This looks like a Mk2 Mazda MX5with a bodykit, modelled on swollen Botoxed lips as seen on young (and those who should know better),which in reality resemble a baboon's bottom.
  16. I suggest you put the whole thing in writing to the dealer and send it recorded delivery. That way,if anything goes wrong you have a paper trail.
  17. The new app has also lost the state of charge graphic for the 12v battery, one of its few useful features.
  18. Why don't you buy a decent Gore-tex type jacketWaxed Barbour jackets don't have much warmth or breathability. When new they stink of wax when in a warm room and initially are unpleasant to touch.Barbour do sell clothing in more modern fabrics, which shouldn't affect light coloured leather.
  19. I don't have an LC,but it's a big, heavy, powerful car and it could easily shred a set of tyres in that distance if driven hard. The Porsche I had some years ago got through rear sets fairly quickly,if they didn't puncture first.
  20. I I would have thought the VW California would be more comfortable..perhaps that's where "fornicating" came from.
  21. ...or perhaps Vovan was dislexic and really meant Vauxhall van.
