  1. NP - I am sure one of the guys with the maintenance mannual will be along shortly to let you know :) There is an artical in teh Workshop area on how to remove the bits you need to get at the leads.
  2. I am also hoping to be there.... book tables for 13:00 then ?
  3. Have you tried taking the controls out and shorting the connector to see if the wire is still continouse from the control to the relay... that would prove if it is the switch that has gone faulty or not. The light comming on is usualy a seperate "way" on the switch.
  4. Bah wished I had gone now (didnt go to Prague as it looked like it was going to be too cold).
  5. I'll have some then :) EDIT: * Paid :) *
  6. Looks like a good meet, how did Bazza and My Prolex get there then, Chunnel or ferry ? Looks like a long way to drive to :) I was off the last few days as well (unplanned as usual) and was thinking of going to Prague... this would have been the ideal alternative!... Doh!
  7. Is that 9 quid for a set of 4 or 9 quid each sticker ?
  8. Cool ..... I might pop along actually......... depending on how many others will be there ! sunday lunch sounds good tooo ! :P ← Well you've been there before, so you should know how to get there :) Shall we start a new thread then for the new meet or just continue within this one ? @Scorp.... you got PM back at ya....(and in Gold too :P )
  9. trust me to only read the first post !! DOH! :)
  10. My cal says first Sunday of the month is this weekend...... Sunday lunch anyone ?
  11. Yeah but thats the good thing about R2... it's like R1 was when you were a kid... thats why I listen any way :)
  12. Wow Geoffers.... I think you've started something here :) Put my name down as well .... SteveAudioX was looking into something a while back but that seems to have dissapeared (I think he got bogged down with something else.... iirc (kids?) ) Roll on an aux in I say! :)
  13. Aha.. you may be right, but I too followed the workshop guide, pulling and tugging then noticed the small plastic cover which once removed showed the two bolts... Could have been an expensive mistake if something had given way before I found the bolts... hence why I mentioned it. It might be worthwile updating the guide? If you have a flip cover over the tray then I think it likly there will be bolts holding it down (mine is a 2004 marque).
  14. Well I have a fairly new IS, alloys are going on the inside edges and the paint scratches if looked at in the wrong way!... Anyone got the paint fixed under warentee or am I on a looser there? It seems to scratch even if I just chuck water at it!
  15. its in the workshop mate 2 nd page i think. its with pics - one sugggestion, try grabbing the dash tray with both hands and giving it a good pull, see if it comes off - mine didnt so thats why i had to use a putty knife to lift it out. ← Dont forget the two bolts holding it in though first! :) Oh and definatly heed the advise about the not letting the radio unit hang down... the edges are very sharp and do mark the centre console. I too am interested in the T-MUTE as the MUTE I used whilst muting the audio doesn't pause the CD player (like the RDS-TA does). Maybe that's the difference.
  16. Yesterday mate .......... I then drove straight to the tracker installer .... so she's all 'trackered up!!' ← You need to get one of these fitted as well :)
  17. Thats great news... wish I had gone for a IS300 , but hey... there's still time :) Looks great btw :)
  18. Just got an email through from Sainsburrys for a new car wash thingy... looks like it's from the the makrs of Flash floor cleaner.... More details on here Apparently it's endorsed by WhatCAR.
  19. Not having driven one I can't comment personally, but I would have thought the permanent 4x4 drive and lack of diff locking make it all but useless, esp if your stuck trying to go up a hill in the ice.... IMHO of course. This is based on a review I read where it stated there was no diff control or ability to switch drive modes, so if that stands true still, then it is a bit of a waste of time for off-road.
  20. Well I had chance to take a closer look, the indicator is moderatly easy to pop out if prised with fingers from the front... after I took it out, I wiped away a bit of grime and noticed a screwdriver mark on the bodywork. Looks like it was deliberate, why is unknown of course, opertunist (sp!) or whatever, why go for a car with deadlocks etc on instead of the other cars there I dont know... maybe they had a broken bulb and were going to nick mine.... I dont know tbh!..
  21. Indeed this is usualy the case. The indicator still worked when I popped it back in to place so maybe if the car was being attacked, they were disturbed. I have just checked the CCTV coverage which is inconclusive. I find it hard to believe the indicator popped out by itself as it was fairly firmly in when I washed the car on Sat morning, and was fine when I set off yesterday morning. Puzzling.....
  22. Well, drove up to my two day meeting in the East Mids yesterday, parked the car in the car park at the rear of the building I am working in.. folded the mirrors and walked in... ...came back out at about 18:00 last night to find my n/s wing indicator hanging out of the hole! Had a good look around and there is no damage to the wing or the indicator. Popped it back in and it is a very snug fit, certainly not lose enough to have fallen out by it self.... So what gives? how did it happen. There were no signs of anyone prizing it out (screwdriver marks or the like!) Anyone else had this happen before.... ? I do recall that a way to steal cars a long time ago was to blow the alarm up buy shorting out the indicator.... any ideas about if that is still a common method?
