  1. I like the music across most decades tbh, but 80's definatly isnt a song that I dont like (apart from a few exceptions :) ) Club977.com is where it's at :)
  2. 5/6 th feb is a no go for me as I am going to the Rugby on 5th (well assuming my mate has remembered to get the tickets)
  3. one with blue lights - and a big sign down the side that says ..... "working for a safer london" err ... not quite :D ←
  4. I am interested, but it depends on the dates
  5. The gf's dad has a polo, and you have to take the battery out to change the n/s front bulbs!... how daft is that for a design to change a consumable item.
  6. I can’t believe I missed adding to this thread when I joined! Jason, 32 Born in the Boro (and they'll never take it out of me ;) Now exiled down saurfff teaching these southerners how to speak proper. Started off as an Electronics Design Engineer... (gosh that was a long time ago)... been a Project Manager at Europe’s largest Engineering Consultancy now for about 6 years. Mostly manage research and development projects into new technologies (vehicle detection systems, intelligent CCTV systems etc)... now working my way through a host of Local Authorities bashing out RTPI systems :) (seems strange looking back to when I designed and built some of the first bus shelter displays in the UK! :) not a lot has changed since then!) If there’s a cone on a motorway somewhere I (or a mate) probably have something to do with it. :) (sorry guys :D ) I too bought my Lexus IS200SE on my Birthday (September 2003), thought I was the only one :D NO serious mods to it just yet, want to keep the warrantee intact and my license clean (though driving the last car (2.0l Megane Coupe) at 120 every where for four years I count myself as a lucky person to have lasted that long, alive if not without points! ) Would really like to get a s/c one day, but it seems a little bit of a waste on an auto.... might hold out and get an IS300 eventually. I fancied the Lexus when I was eyeing up a car about 4 years ago, but couldnt stretch to the 23K then, so got the Megane instead. Finally got round to a test drive in September and bought it there and then!
  7. Farking hell thats bad mate, glad your OK and they didnt do anything daft with a gun or anything like that.... On the bright side - at least you dont have to worry about the scratch on the bumper!... I'll be extra vigilant now over that way, I have friends I often visit in Beckton and I have never had a problem before (though it's not the nicest of areas!).. Glad your safe though! Makes you think... I was at B&Q on Sat getting some trunking, and did the exact same thing (was alone as Josie was at home painting!) Get the claim in, get the crim compo on the go and get yourself an IS300 - you deserve it now!
  8. Yup.. thats who I got mine off.... weren't painted though.... (Do I get a refund ? :) ) There easy to paint and the proper paint from Lexus/Toyota is only 9 quid (two cans). So there's no excure to leave any ungly black circles on your bumper (unless it's black already etc )
  9. Well it had to happen. Washed the car today and there's the corrosion poking through on the back edges (7 spoke type) I'm on just over 7000 miles so I guess I'll hang on till it goes in for it's service at 10,000 and then get them sorted. Can't believe the new alloys still suffer from the same issues... how hard can it be to get something like this right on a 22K car!
  10. OK... searched through the boards and it would appear from Matthews post that for my IS200, I need the following... However, looking on the PIAA web site, they state (for an IS300) that the sizes are the following: So I am a little confused, I thought the IS300 sizes would be the same for the IS200 ? Also my trawl came up with a total of 39 quid delivered from speeding.co.uk (thats for the black 20" and the Sporza 22". So my questions are (apart from going iout in the dark to measure the blades ;) )... What are the correct sizes for a IS200; do the prices look OK ? will it reduce the amount of that dearded diesel smear I seem to have inflicted on my within the M25 :( ?? Ta ;)
  11. Parking sensors are the best thing since sliced bread.... if you have ever had the misfortune to reverse into something that cost ya 1500 to fix, then 100 quid for parking sensors is a winner to me ! :)
  12. Well just finished watching the first few episodes of 24 Season 4, looks a gud un I must say... One thing that I did notice - all the baddies are now driving Lexus's - GS and a RX have featured so far, where as the goodies are all driving Fords :) So is this a general statement that all Lexus drivers are in fact gun toting terrorists?
  13. Well it's turned up and I can report that it is very bling and hasn't expolded yet :) Details HERE :)
  14. Looks like your wait may not be that long... there's reports of it being out mid-Oct
  15. Thats a bad scratch that.... at least you didnt do what I did over Xmas... Car was filthy (which is how I like my women, but not my car) so I decided to gove it a wash whilst at the parents house. I bought them a jet wash when I was last there so thought I would use that... had a look for it (no one was home to ask!) and couldnt find it, so went to the local garage and chanced the jet wash there. Jetted off the kak etc, went to use the brush and gave it a good check with my hand first to see if there was any kak in it, seemed OK. Did the whole car over, fine - even checked for any daft scratches, couldnt find any (was still wet). Went out the next day in the clean car, pulled up in B&Q and looked at the o/s rear quarter, 4 scratches (parallel arcs).... blamed the postie planned a dawn suprise for him to have a go about scratching the car.... 15 mins later I had calmed down and also noticed a deeper scratch on the bonnet. Looked closer at the o/s rear quarter scratches and deduced that I must have picked up some grit off the wheel and proceeded to clean that part of the car with it.. (dito for the bonnet as the scratch is near the n/s fron wheel). Well brassed off... but at least I managed to not scratch it within the first week like I did jet washing my last new motor! You'd think I would learn ! I know it's heart breaking to find the scratch, but at least it wasnt your own stupidity that caused it.... and to top it all off, when I got back from B&Q I found the jet wash I had bought my Dad so all could have been avoided.... I havent cleaned the car since, cant face looking at the scratches!!! (can we get a group buy on scratch repairs ? :) )
  16. I think there refering to the SC430 but if any one is interested then it might be worthwhile giving them a call.
  17. As posted by a member on www.dvdforums.com.... I didnt think it would get any action from the lexus brigade on their, but might be of use to someone on here :)

  19. Arn't there other parts needed too though, it's not just a case of adding a s/c from what I have read... Oil cooler.. Heat shield or 1st box removal induction kit All adds up ...... I realy fancy the s/c but: a. the car is soo new and still under warentee b. it's an auto, not sure if the s/c is worth while I should just get a IS300 :) tbh... the above always get in the way when ever I think of adding a modification... the parking sensors and mud flaps were easy, painless and cheap and add functionality to the car... the s/c and possibly the strut brace... well it's them two things stopping me again!!! :x
  20. I think I prefer the 11 spoke myself (thats what mine came with, but I did look at teh others before hand and got them to swap the wheels onto mine before I bought it.
