Rubbing vaseline on my gear stick- sounds err, a bit dodgy...

Welcome to the club mate- Oooooh I finally got to say that , it feels as though it was only yesterday when all of you lot were saying it to me!

Hello all, I am having one of those days.... I have taken my car into the Lexus dealer several times, as I have had a lot of little problems (nothing major thank ***) Basically, when I listen to any music with some bass, I get this vibration noise from the rear passenger side speaker. It's as though perhaps the speaker wires are touching the vibrating speaker cone or some screw is loose or something. As you can imagine it is really annoying when listening to any music, and I have told lexus about this and they take a look at it and say they have sorted it out , and sometimes they say they couldn't find anything wrong! I have tried explaining this to them several times, but there seems to be some kind of miscommunication! Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy way of sorting it out as the dealer doesnt seem to know!

Hi mate, I don't think thats true since some of the european makes have heated windscreens too- There is a huge issue about heated windscreens and using portable GPS systems such as the tomtom go, and some of the european cars have heated windscreens meaning that they have to buy external antennae. If you look up tomtom and heated windscreens there will be a lot on the various cars that have heated windcreens. I have a tomtom go and it works perfectly fine in my car, and if there was a heated windscreen it definitely wouldnt!

No one said anything about a mouse in the car specification :S

Good day chaps, I have this problem- the doctor says I should put some cream on it. I also have a problem with my IS. When driving, I can hear this really annoying squeeky sound which appears to be coming from the gearstick area. I am sure it is nothing dangerous, but it is SOOOO annoying, that a good few passengers have also commented on it. I have taken this to my dealer 3 times now, and last time they replaced the gear stick or some of its parts or something, but on driving it, the sound is still there. If i hold onto the actual gear stick and put my hand tightly around the fabric covering the stick, I can reduce/stop the sound momentarily. Any ideas what on earth this is or how to rectify it? Car is still under warranty, but obviously the bods at lexus havent really got to the bottom of it. Cheers dudes Ps- oops

Haha! I thought as much! If you look at the other items the guy is selling, he seems to cover every single car ever made by every manufacturer. Hey, I spend so much on petrol I have no money left for decent mods, so I was thinking of saving up £1.99 to add 20 bhp to me motor. Bugger :(

I just had a thought- you mentioned the phone number was taken from the letter- may be an idea to call up the head office mentioned on their website and try and track it down to see if they actually have staff by that name or that telephone listed under their company.

I'd never get insured for it though .... and personally .. i do wanna stay lexi ! ← Yeah in the past i mentioned i wanted one until i realised it was Group 20!! I may have to wait a few decades before I can afford that :(
