i posted a question the other night about whether or not my bridgestone potenzas re040 215/45/17 were directional or not. someone kindly and discreetly pointed me to the arrow and the word ROTATION on the tyre wall itself so today i decided to rotate my tyres front to back and used the spare on the front to even out the wear. when i got the spare out i noticed that this was directional aswell, so i could only put it on the passenger side front, Not a problem really until i get a puncture on the drivers side and my spare should fit the passenger side how can you be Lexus give you a spare that only fits one side of the car or am i missing something here :duh:

are the standard fit bridgestone potenzas 215/45/17 directional or not im just about to go outside to change front to back to even up the tyre wear but before i change them over i nee to know if they can be changed front to back and driver side to passenger side to even up the camber effect. i read somwhere that some tyres are directional and can only revolve one way because of the pattern but im unsure if this applies in this case. any helpo mucho appreciatedo thanks

this is probably an easy question for all you sat navvers out there. but i havent got a clue about them so im gonna buy a tom tom go coz they look so simple to use. but what i want to know is can i use the tom tom go in both mine and my wifes car, can you just take it from one car to another or is there more to it than that. it does say its a stand alone model ? if it isnt is there system you can take from one car to another easily thanks

You dont see many anymore but the old shape suzuki vitara soft top in white driven by 35yr old male hairdressers who think they look like george michael, enjoying some foster grant moments as they drive down down the high street pumping out Freedom by wham. or even worse the same car with the wheels off a lancaster bomber and blacked out windows which are starting to bubble !!

dont get me started on VW golfs, Too late im started now i owned a brand new 2.8 v6 4 motion 53 plate and out of a total of 16 weeks of ownership it spent 13 of them in the dealership garage. VW couldnt give a monkeys they said tough luck its warrantied for 3 years so why are you complaining. they refused to assist or help in anyway despite my protestations, a quick list of faults to wet your appetite 4 wheel drive traction control packed in after 2 miles !!! all 4 ecus were changed 2 of them twice labda probes packed in twice steering rack replaced cd player packed in internal lights failure cruise control failure too many others to list. :shutit: not to mention the dealership never having any courtesy cars available ( coz there always out to other unfortunate vw owners ) but heh dont let me put you off im sure the new mark 5 is a wonderful car. the problem with the likes of topgear is they dont have to own one for months and years, they just blat them round the track and tell everyone what a great car it is. theres more to a car than test track speed. remember when they tried to test one on top gear last year but they couldnt coz it broke down !!! but to balance things up my old mark 3 never put a foot wrong and was a great car i should never have parted with it for the mark 4 !! anyway ive said my piece, just for your info look at the peach or lemon website it says it all.

i know this might seem simple but have you tied driving around with the sunroof bind pulled back to see if that helps or pulled forward if is pulled back. or try it with the sunroof open to check it out also if all else fails you can sell her on ebay ( the wife that is ) :winky:

oh by the way forgot to say dont be concerned about the amount of fuel they use. because by the time you have worked out the service intervals the depreciation costs and the reliability issues into the equation they work out miles cheaper than most other cars in the class i forget myself sometimes when im standing at the pump trying to get the nozzle to work without cutting out

in march this year i paid £ 17995 for my 1 year old is200se so if your price is corect i would snap it up. mine had 3000 miles on when i bought it and to be honest i was dissapointed in the performance and the gearchange coz everything was smooth but slow. now its got 7500 miles on the clock and its like driving a completely different car. its still smooth but now the power comes in nicely and the gearchange is better im now very happy with it. you wont be dissapointed :)

im not saying that the is220d wont be a great car coz lets face it if its better than the one we drive now, quicker and more mpg then we would rush out to buy one. but diesels engines are gonna kill us all with cancer if there not stopped or sorted out somehow. i have to confess that my works car is a diesel but despite my protests there was not a lot i could do about it read JAVADUDES post and get informed !!

does anyone know how much a set of 4 mud flaps would cost from a lexus dealer. supplied but not fitted im being lazy and impatient i know, but i could do with knowing before tomoroow when i ring the stealer. thanks
