the hankook ventus k104 were about £60 on mytyres website, 17" ones i might add but surely there cant be that much difference in 1 inch can there ?

They are both great colours the only downside i have found to black cars in the past is keeping them clean. I live on a farm and despite my best efforts of washing and cleaning my old black VW golf it alwys ended up dusty and muddy in a matter of hours. However if you live in a town or city where you dont have to drive up an unmade track every day to get home then black does look the mutts nuts in my opinion of course. my is200 has oakham leather interior and despite my initial concerns for the light interior i wouldnt change to black leather again. My car has the supaguard protector on it and it really makes a diference in keeping the car clean on the subject of cleaning products meguiars nxt or any meguairs product for that matter is fantastic gear.

meguiars gives a fantastic finish. mind you mines been supagurded and by using the supagard cream over the top of the sealant gives similar results.

American cars are not crap. They are decent in a straight line its only when you try to corner they become crap :D

well i look at at it a slightly different way, the mpg is not bad but not great either somewhere around 28-32 is about average. but the real saving is in the reliability and quality of the car, in the long term the car is gonna cost you much less than most others because of the lack of replacement parts your gonna need in years to come. its when your warranty runs out that the real savings will be made on the lexus

the Catheram speeds are a bit off the mark in reality, they tell you that they can do 0-60mph in around 3 secs but in reality they cant even get going off the mark. ive had a go in a couple and they just spin like crazy if you try to set off. by the time you get going 3 secs have already gone. mind you once they are going its another story, they are like hot snot. but i think the new ariel atom is going to be one of the fastest cars around any track thats for sure. but the mclaren f1 is the fastest top end im sure.

you cant be arrested for perverting the course of justice if there was no offence in the first place, if he wasnt speeding then he hasnt committed any offence therfore he cant later pervert the course of justice coz there isnt any to be perverted, get me drift. if he had committed an offence and then been found to have jammed the police systems somehow in an attempt to evade detection then thats different.

now after reading all the posts about tyre wear etc..... i decided last week to change mine around to even out the wear and i found that all 4 tyres were in great condition and had worn evenly with no more loss of tread on the inside than the outside. i have driven 8000 miles on them since new, now then according to lexus my car cant be set up correctly if they are wearing out evenly ???????????? so is my car abnormal and should i get them toed in so they eat tyres like theres no tomorrow or should i leave well alone i think i already know the answer but it does make a mockery of the garages argument that the excessive inner tread wear is normal and to be expected. :duh:

almost 2 inch of snow outside my front door, i live on a farm on the north york moors so its nothing new up here think ill try and see if i can my lex up the 1 in 10 bank that leads out of my farm for half a mile :duh:

Is it only me that gets sick of searching ebay for lexus parts accesories etc and ending up with sh*t loads of poxy lights for ford ka`s and fiat puntos. i know you can put other words in to narrow the search but you can easily miss things this way. I sometimes wish Lexus hadnt been the first to design this light Ooops wrong forum sorry !!

i persuaded my wife to buy one of those bissel carpet shampoo cleaner thingies, they bring your oakham mats up a treat :) of course i told the missus we needed it to clean the house carpets to prolong their life. i still cant believe she fell for it :winky:

Good advice Colin, they are becoming more common second hand, i would definately search www.lexus.co.uk approved used cars, some of the prices will suprise you. There are some bargains to be had if you search the used car section properly, especially up north.

Well it might seem a bit rough and ready but i paid £19 at my local carpet shop and got some pure wool deep pile cream carpet the same colour as my original mats, i just cut round the front mats and popped them in for the winter, they are even better quality than the originals and once the worst of the winter is over ill chuck em in the bin. Best thing is ive got enough left for another 4 sets am I tight or what PS: Car looks great, but no need to wash it if your gonna leave it that close to the sea wall :o :o

i thought about the inside out method as me and my mate tried it on his mini years ago, all was fine until we hit a hump back bridge at 60mph and the whells all flew off in differnet directions but seriously i ran the scenario past one or two of my traffic accident investigations cop friends and they pointed out that if a serious or fatal accident occured and it was noted that one of the tyres was put on THE WRONG WAY ROUND so to speak then you could be in deep doo doo. I know its only hyperthetical but it still makes me wonder wbout having a directional spare.
