  1. Damn thats a good question Janey :winky: anyway im saying nowt :shutit: the only mods I have so far is a chrome front grille and a brolly holder attached to my boot liner
  2. welcome ducky ! i bought mine last year from rmb lexus teesside, it was 1 year old and like the others said check alloys, if its gonna be 1 or 2 year old not much to worry about, all depends how much you got to spend. but if you look on www.lexus.co.uk there is a big difference with some dealer prices so worth shopping around before taking the plunge. also check out the tips from the link in the homepage relating to what to watch out for on a used is200, its full of good advice. rmb at yarm are opening a new premises in northallerton sometime later this year apparently, nice and easy for you.
  3. i live way out in the sticks also but i have to say my car has been good as gold and the tyres are the standard bridgestones potenzas. mind you i dont drive it hard round twisty roads, but even at speed it has been solid. my tyre pressures are 33psi all round
  4. sorry guys ive amended the picture and added the link to the post before this one, i told you i was new to this uploading lark anyway at least you can see it now
  5. ive just got a similar net yesterday off ebay, its only a 13"x13" but it does the job very nicely, i paid £4 off ebay including delivery. :P I got it to stand at the right side of my boot to hold the milk steady during transit. i have hooked it to the cargo fixings on the floor and then around the back of the liner against the rear driverside wing. looks okay and works a treat £60 i dont think so Lexus horizintal ones are obviously bigger and are around £8-£12

  7. ok heres the pics linky its in my gallery garage thing, soory but im new to this uploading lark , i told you not to get over excited but a suitable place to keep one i thought. all i did was remove the boot liner thingy midgig and all the clips took it into the house and using a craft knife put 4 holes in the liner and threaded through the leather straps. the straps incidentally are from my wifes luggage set , but ive got a year until she needs them again so im ok in that respect. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/upl...89_58_83692.jpg any comments welcome

  9. any pics yet, its pitch black outside ill try and sort it in the morning, but like i said earlier dont get excited it will probably be crap anyway,
  10. damn is was supposed to be a suprise. that spring loaded brolly in the door was a stroke of genius whoever thought of that anyway ive just had a look at the lexus brolly in the lexus collection they dont look anything flash. ill just use the one ive got for now and pics to follow when i get the wifes camera off her.
  11. lol dont get excited compared to some of the mods on here this is quick, simple and very very easy :D
  12. has anyone got one lying around or does anyone know wheres the best and cheapest place to get a Lexus umbrella ( apart from the dealer ) Im using a plain one at present for a little mod im doing but i need the Lexus one just to finish it off. Ill put up some pics if it looks good, if it looks crap then i wont thanks
  13. i agree, go to lexus and describe the car sho them all the receipts etc and if possible find some similar ls cars and prices so you can show to the insurance company. dont accept their first offer, as long as you can provide good evidence about the value of your car then they should up their end. finding cars the same age and spec and condition of yours is probably the best way but it will take some searching.
  14. i hope i get the job of looking after him or his mates under house arrest, ill make the :tsktsk: depressed to start with i would put all the remote controls on top of the kitchen cupboards :winky:
  15. looks great, only problem for me is that being 56k it takes longer to load
  16. from your description of the accident sounds like she has had to cross over the carriageway whereas you have only had to join the carriageway, theres a difference and im under the belief that its the person who is crossing the carriageway that has to be more careful and pay more attention than the person who is simply joining from the side road. were the junction points exactly opposite like a cross road or where they slightly staggered coz that would make the big differnce even if they were only slightly staggered in your favour.
  17. i dont know how tall you are but when i tried to test drive one i couldnt even fit in the drivers seat. im 6 foot 3 for your information i had the same problem with the new toyota mr2, in my old one i had loads of room and it was comfortable but i couldnt fit in the new one at all.
  18. can anyone assist please, im trying to put pics from my comp into my gaage and gallery but i keep getting the error that the pics are too big, the photos were taken on my digital camera and most are about 500-700kb in size which is too big for the system. how can i make them smaller in size so i can upload them. also how can you get your avatar to look right ive been trying for hours :duh: cheers
  19. thats a lovely motor, ill have to talk my dad into one when he comes back from the USA, that way ill have it off him in a few years when his eyesight fails him :winky: ive been looking at the gold ones in the lexus used site I think they called it Cashmere at one point, thats another colour that looks crap on most cars but great on the ls my personal favourite is the bordeaux red on the GS models, i just fell in love with the colour straight away, shame its not available on the is200. like you said each to their own i suppose
  20. i personally cant wait for the new 440h, coz if its any good all you rx300 boys and girls are gonna part ex leaving me a much better choice when i swap my is200 for the rx300. :P
  21. what about an is300 depends if you want to stay lexus or not. there are loads of great cars over there at present, my parents live in florida and after visiting many times i wouldnt even get a new one, coz the used ones are like brand new anyway, hyundai were offering 10 year warranties last year depends were your going to live i suppose coz all the used cars in florida are like brand new, no rust, dampness or any probs like that, my dads car looks immaculate all the time and he only washes his car once a year and its white !!!!!! ps theirs a new guy just joined loc from the states so you might want to check out his thread and pm him. ( his thread was something about a yank )
