  1. I wondered the same thing, but in the listing its for 4. Maybe he is just not in the know with regards to my S/C.
  2. I thought, or should I say, only noticed it when I was steering whilst in motion. But it made a simular noise when stationary and turning the steering wheel. Checked the Power steering fluid level and that seems ok. I was convinced it was the brakes up until this afternoon when it did it stationary.... :duh: Looking at this and your first post I'd say it was your power steering pump working if there is a whine as well. I bet it's worse when stationary on full lock. If it is this take a look at your PAS fluid, if it''s more grey than red might be worth getting it changed. Its the Supercharger that whines...(and the Mrs) I've checked the fluid and the level looks ok. Im just hoping when the weather temp picks up I can do the brakes and maybe cure this.
  3. Been looking at some IK22 plugs on Ebay. I ask the guy if they will fit the IS200. He replies with this; 'HI, KAZ, THE IS200 HAVE SPECIAL IRIDIUM PLUGS. THEY ARE £60 DELIVERED. IF YOU PUT NORMAL IRIDIUM PLUGS IN IT MAY TRIGGER ENGINE MANAGEMENT. PLEASE BE CAREFULL' Anybody else heard this? Here's the link to the plugs : Ebay
  4. Would warn the garage that any work it may need will be done elsewhere or by themselves. This may make them think twice as im sure they'd rather not do a re-test...

Welcome mate. Picked a great colour and if Aidos old car is of any inspiration you can't go far wrong! What sort of mods you had in mind? Cosmetic? Interior? Performance?
  6. They are easy to sort yourself depending on whats gone wrong. Is it coming up with an Err message?
  7. No worries mate. Just had a right game getting AutoData to work! Still, if you need any other illustrations and i've got them, your more than welcome to them. Can't see it being overly different to the IS pollen filter change. Although looking at it, I was wrong...

  10. It seems to be a bit better after I took the car for a 150 mile trip. I did notice though this afternoon when moving my car out the way from a difficult parking spot that the scrape sounding noise occurred lightly when turning the steering wheel slightly but stationary, as if I was doing a 3 point turn. Is their any chance the noise maybe coming from the steering? The pump or some other mechanics?
  11. You sound just like Clarkson! But with us being 2JZ boys we get both anyway :D Clarkson wouldnt know anying about Torque....other than some of the rubbish he comes out with.
  12. On the Blueprint one mate? From what I remember it was exactly same as the stock one? Daft as it sounds mate when my original clutch died for some reason - and I never did figure it out - it would only slip when it was raining. On a dry day I didn't have a problem - rainy day - it would slip like mad. Had it swapped and never had the problem again - maybe it was just on the way out? What was your bite point like? Was it high or pretty low down to the floor? Mines only got about 1" of travel before biting... I do notice is more on a rainy day, car seems ok in the dry as far as slipping goes. Not that its ever so noticeable. Is their a way I can test it?
  13. Im thinking this is the route im gonna go down...car had done about 90k when I put the S/C on and its at about 108k now but the bite point is so low im convinced its ready to go. What was your bite point like yemgi? You remember what yours was like Aido?
  14. Just seen a Exedy clutch on ebay. I've asked him what the clutch is good for. See what he says. Can another stock clutch be fitted with a Supercharger? Or would it just not last that long?
  15. That was brilliant! Talented work.
  16. I know the feeling mate. Sort of like, the end of an era eh?! How come its your fourth? Excuse me if im being nosey fella ;)
  17. Looks like a tidy IS dude. Just a shame the residuals have been hammered lately, with the current credit crisis and the continued tax rise on them.
  18. true my last astra it only cost me alot at each MOT from what a can remeber each one was over 300, but nothing went wrong in between so im hoping it stays that way thanks mate, if its as realible as my last vectra then im happy Yeah, I want being sarky mate. I hope its a trouble free ride. Fingers crossed you'll be back in a Lex soon. I'm leaning towards a new car myself in the near future. My dad my possibly take mine off me and i'll have a S/C going begging! Good luck though dude!
  19. Thought I read another member gave up on the idea. LEDs just don't penetrate a lengthy enough beam. I get the impression a Saxo chav driver is behind me with his fog lights on. More so when the driver has side lights and fogs on. WTF is that all about?!
  20. Think the M3 would get my vote. Its a tuffy though...
  21. Good luck with it, hope its more reliable than my Brothers Vectra and Mums Omega....
  22. You like driving with fog lights on? Why? You're not under the illusion it looks good sure not?! :duh: Think my fogs have been on about 5 times since ive had the car, can't imagine LED fog lights being useful when you do get fog.
  23. The OEM air setup as Aido says is probs your best bet. Induction kits are a little loud. A K&N will give the car a little crispier, throatier noise anyway. It sounds subtle, but nice.
  24. Just bought a full set of Mintex pads again for mine, seem to be pretty good at stopping and they are good value on ebay to!
