None of the IS models ever had HID's in the fogs as standard. Only the IS300 ever had HID's as standard for the main beam, not the fogs. As has been previously mentioned, fitting HID's in the fogs kinda detracts from the fact that fogs are specific to foggy conditions....

It's crazy! A Tubby owner with a Blitz NUR-spec (same as I have) was stopped at a VOSA check point and told by the jobsworth ***** that his exhaust was "too loud" - they didn't even test it with a sound meter!

Does any legislation actually exist which covers exhaust noise - I don't mean the "causing a nuicance" type of thing, more something along the lines, for example of: 90dB @ 1m @ 4,000 revs Any links would be appreciated.

Running slowly all the time, just started earlier this afternoon. HDD is making a slight hissing/whirring noise. Memory: Total 1,038,448 Available: 472,000 Cache: 611,000 The machine is less than 6 months old, never been dropped or abused. Its a Sony Vaio VGN-TX2XP I'll have a look through that one Aido....it all looks a bit geeky to me!

My laptop is running REALLY slowly The HD is not fragmented, the windows task manager doesn't show anything that could be slowing it up and there are no viruses etc Can anyone recommend any fixes or (free) diagnostics please?
