    I've removed some of the plastic trim on the dash (from the MR2) to repaint, it seems to take forever to harden in the cold weather Could I make the drying/hardening process quicker by putting the bits in the oven for a few hours at a low temperature - say 80°C

    Get a decatted manifold / downpipe / back box plus induction kit. Easily the most cost-effective way of releasing those trapped ponies :D

    They ran a test on it on an MR2 in one of the issues of JTuner mag......proved that it actually REDUCES performance

    No reason why you couldn't polish the parts yourself if you have the right tools. Pete Jenkin who runs G-Spec is somewhere around your neck of the woods, you might try contacting him since G-Spec do all sorts of polishing work

    One of the LOC members (username = Kazi) who has a S/C IS200 is just down the road from you in Melton, drop him a PM. If you can pick up a second hand TTE supercharger kit you'll be looking at around £2K fitted

    Engine parts (rocker cover etc) look so much better polished, rather than painted IMO

    Did you use a gasket when you fitted the sandwich plate and filter? Sounds like something isn't sealed properly.....

    On the MR2...... Alpine CDE-9850Ri headunit (iPOD compatible) Alpine SWD-1600 amplified SW Infinity Kappa P6.1 fronts Infinity Reference rears just a bit of a PITA having to have to run cable from the HU to the crossover in the door panels

    Yep it's a passive crossover (Infinity Kappa component system).....I'll give it a try from the HU

    When wiring up a crossover in the front door panels, what do I use as the feed +ve and -ve into the crossover? Does this need to come directly from the head unit?

    It's not a one-piece removal.... See the grey piece surrounding the lenses? Grip it firmly from the back and front. No screwdrivers or sharp bits required. Wiggle / Pull / Twist until it comes off, you may have to get quite upset with it! Find and replace BA9 bulb Replace plastic - it should just snap back into place if you haven't ****** it up

    Sorry fellas.... My supplier for the clear lenses has given me a new date of 11th November before I'll recieve these. The reason quoted is that they rarely recieve much a large order and have to go to another production run. I'll get them out to you as quickly as I can. My apologies for the delay on this.

    Ermmm.... Are you trying to say that a N/A straight six is less queer than the 4 pot 3S-GTE? How come Noble Motorsport sorted my CEL purely through a chip and remap?

    Nonsense - when I decatted my MR2 I had the CEL at low revs Remapped on a Dastek Unichip which put the fuel in the right place at the right time and.......no more CEL

    The CEL is caused due to the fact that at low revs the engine fuels too rich and at high revs, too lean. The solution can be found by correcting the mis-fuelling by remapping.

    Why don't you have a drive in a 300 before knocking the auto? I went from an IS200 Sport to an IS300 and never regretted it for one second

    Update: Bulbs arrived today........waiting for the clear lenses and the load resisitors. Hopefully I should be able to get the kit out to all of you early next week :)
