  1. Maybe he used to have a Lexus but saw the light... ← :o what do you mean "saw the light".... i think in any circumstance if he did own a lexus before-hand, he must've gone to see Star Wars and then got taken by the dark side... lol
  2. personaly: i've lost all faith in the judicial system... (ps: this is an understatement)
  3. Voted Lexus in all the polls.... it's only right!!! :D
  4. is nobody going to comment on the price?? £4800 at the moment ... a bit on the low side for a 15k mile, 2001 Y model. Or have i completely missed the point?! :duh:
  5. i'm in the same boat sjf... 1. gearbox type is a matter of drive usage. like javadude said, auto is great for around town, stop n start journeys. although the manual provides more power and if you're the type of guy that i am, then you'll much prefer the manual, to exploit that 2.0litre straight 6. :) 2. i'm looking at the higher mileage cars, as they are far less costly to buy. i have however noticed that the bonnets of the higher mileage cars are quite heavily chipped n scratched, so it may require a bit of TLC to the bodywork. as for the mechanics... it's a lexus :winky: ! 3. The sport is a higher spec car, although the compromise between luxury and sports power, is leant towards the sporting end. If you can dismiss the chrome, tints and spoiler, then the only REAL thing the SE lacks is the LSD. I'll be going for an SE myself. 4. Above 60k, you probably only need to spend £100 a service plus parts. As you won't be needing a big service for a while. If the mileage is closer to 120k, then you can expect your first bill to be of a prestige amount, depending on condition and care taken of the car. I just hope that all the ex-Lex owners have taken as much care of their car as i plan to do in the future. :D that's my view on it....
  6. WOW :D i didn't know the sportcross could pull a trailer and lift a helicopter at the same time... is that roof membrane reinforced??? lol
  7. "trust no one, not even yourself!"
  8. Thats 20 :mat: ← :D :P you know what i mean!
  9. cheers Mat, so the only thing we are unsure on, is the auto-locking feature... ← nope, were sure on that aswell, just depends wich model year ← lol, okay.... say erm X reg 2000/2001...
  10. cheers Mat, so the only thing we are unsure on, is the auto-locking feature...
  11. i'm kind of worried that nobody actually knows how the alarm system works :S if the second press is meant for deadlocks, but deactivates interior sensor then what's the point? you gain one good thing, but lose the other? i've noticed that there are passenger and driver seat belt warning lamps. Passenger is on the console, and driver is in the dash dials. (i do not know if the drivers side is pressure on seat related). if the vehicle is auto-locking then this is quite possibly a dangerous thing if you were unaware of it, took the keys out the ignition but left them inside (say at a garage they put it behind the visor while they are moving cars around temporarily). it would be cool if someone, or a collective of members could answer these things, it would put my mind at rest, for the future. :) cheers all...
  12. i think he just went fishing... caught a blinder (he reckons), but out of the goodness of his heart threw it back in the water... his comments > "i swear guv, it was THISSSS big"
  13. that cannot be legal in itself... "entrapment" of sorts?
  14. hahahahaha. but erm, AHEM!!! what... may i ask were you doing at a B*W convention? :D
  15. A student with a shaggin' Lex? Better than I mangaed mate, shagged out 1275GT and all my money went into alcohol and smoke :o ← well wanted the lex since i was 15 and had a fiat punto, which the exhuast fell off and tyres went flat all on 1 day, then had a peugeot 306 which i had 2 accidents in (one not my fault) and now finally after 5 years waiting bought the lex! :D love driving it around uni, all the girls staring and all the other "wannabe gangsters" in there 3 series bmws, mercedes clk's and vw gti's gettin jealous :D F**kin love it! ← which uni is that?! Mercs, Beemers and GTi's... (haha, my 3 least rated cars, lol)
  16. i remember reading through the original site, but i was having difficulty understanding it... mind you, it was late at night, and wasn't wearing my glasses... i will have to "re-read" it all and then get back to you... btw: i work in N.Watford (Axis) Industrial Estates... i'll be paying you a visit real soon Mr Bones! :D

  19. Must stop wearing my hood up whist driving yea thats why you keep geting pulled if its ok can i ask why do you have your hood up! ;) ← next thing you know, you wont even be allowed to go window shopping in Bluewater shopping centre with your hood up! crazy business eh!
  20. Why does it always seem to be the guys with the flash cars that cannot afford a handsfree kit? ← no idea! EVEN little old me has a blue tooth kit! I guess they spent all the money buying the vehicle and didn't have £50 left over to buy the handsfree GRRRRR!!!
  21. off subject > i would just like to say the other day i noticed a BMW INDICATE!!! while changing lanes. Mind you, it was a lady driver, raining heavily and her wipers weren't on... do the maths. back on subject > i hate it when people think that their conversation on the mobile phone (without handsfree kit) is more important than moving forwards in a long line of traffic :tsktsk: :tsktsk: ...!!!!
  22. jemca... lexus edgware road.... hmmmmm i'm far from satisfied with them, as you already know!
