  6. A man decides to have a face lift for his birthday. He spends £5,000 and feels really good about the result. On his way home he stops at a newsstand and buys a paper. Before leaving he says to the sales clerk, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old do you think I am ?" "About 35", was the reply. "I'm actually 47", the man says happily. A little while later he goes to McDonalds for lunch and asks the order taker The same question, to which the reply is, "I'd guess you're 29 ?" "Nope, I am actually 47". He's starting to feel really good about himself. While standing at the bus stop he asks an old woman the same question, She replies "I am 85 years old and my eyesignt is going. But when I was young there was a sure way of telling a mans age. If I put my hand down your pants and play with your balls for ten minutes, I will be able to tell your exact age." As there was no one else around the man thought what the hell and let her slip her hand down his pants. Ten minutes later the old lady said "OK, it's done. You are 47." Stunned the man says, "That was brilliant ! How did you do that ?" The old lady replies, "I was behind you in McDonalds." lol

  17. When i get mine, it will be called the "IS Baby" pronounced "Ice Baby" because it will be Platinum Ice, and it will be my baby! :D :D :D
  18. That's pretty bad but I was -7.00 before I had Laser treatment 18 months ago. I'd recommend it if you want to get rid of them glass bottoms. Niraj, I'd say your prescription was too high, you can get the glasses measured I believe as they may have messed up the manufacturing/ measurements of your specs. No wonder there's a reflection off them in your dodgy avatar photo ;) ← haha, reflection of my shades in the av, is photoshopped... but anyway lol had a call from my optician this afternoon. apparently my left + right PD was 64mm 2 years ago, and the current measurement technique involves seperate readings. my left PD is 29mm, and my right PD is 33mm. When my original frames were made, the PD of both eyes was 64mm divide by 2 = 32mm. So my right eye which is 33mm, is within 1.5mm tolerance, hence it feels fine, however my left eye is 3mm different from the lenses i've been used to, which is why it feels so awkward. Tesco have said, that if I don't get used to it, by the end of the week, then to take back both the frames and they will replace the lenses FREE :D
  19. I always get the same effect when i get new gigs makes you feel like the floor is a bit closer than it actually is. I find it tends to go away after a while when you get over everything not being in soft focus anymore :D ← i've worn the frames for roughly 8 hours now... still feeling like i'm looking through a wine glass... (after drinking from the wine bottle) lol. i'm hoping the new feeling wears off, but i'm doubting it will... really feels more weird than any of my other frames... :(
  20. I have a couple of questions for any optometrists, or anyone who knows about optemetry. Basically, I have astigmatism in my left eye +0.50 and my vision is -1.75 left eye. My right eye is -2.00 DS. Vision Express did my eye test. I had my glasses made by Tesco opticians, and they measured my left PD at 29mm and right PD 33mm. However, the new glasses feel like everything is slightly warped, even though my prescription has not changed. It takes a few seconds to refocus when i look around, although it has not given me a headache or other side effects. It just feels really uncomfortable. Does anybody have any ideas why? Or what i should do? My old frames with the same prescription, feel fine :( but i want to wear the new ones....
  21. So how do they get away with "Lexus lights" then ← I believe there is a copyright on the name "Lexus Style" which in effect means they are being advertised as the actual goods. If you have Lexus Style Lights for sale (eg for a Corsa, Peugeot, etc..) then there is nothing "Lexus" themselves can do anything about, as they are being sold under the description that they have been patented. A bit of a slip by Lexus methinks by not covering all aspects of the Patenting laws.
