  1. Sorry, maybe I didn't explain it well. If a battery gets really flat it cannot always be charged up again. You can try to charge dead car batteries but they may not keep the charge as well once they've been allowed to go flat. If you buy a new battery make sure you get someone to run the car for you for half hour or so, at least once a month if you're away or get a trickle charger, otherwise it'll happen again. If someone runs it for tell them to keep your ICE off if you've got a mega install or it'll never charge up.
  2. Good advice. I used to leave my bike on a charger called an "Optimate 2". It constantly checks the battery's charge and automatically tops it up as necessary. I used to come back on holiday from Saudi after 6 months and even a year away and it used to start almost straight away. You have to be careful no-one switches it off though as once it's flat it can't always revive it. Great piece of kit though.
  3. You lucky :tsktsk: At £200 though, its a disposable car. Has it got a tasteful Cozzie bodykit?
  4. It's no consolation but my 94 LS does it too. I read that you could get the rubbers lubed up and that sorts it but i'm not asking ANYONE for my rubbers to be lubed up. It's not spoiling the ride but driving through Blacon in Chester I have to go really slow over the speed bumps and all the chav's are eyeing up my wheels. :winky:
  5. Damn, just my luck. It doesn't sound bad but when u know it's there its a bit annoying and i'm an engineer so I know it's not right to sound like that (Unless it's a peugeot) Does anyone know how much it costs to get the adjustment done?
  6. If u do make it there, theres an "expert" who claims to know everything about what goes on in area 51 and says he used to be "involved", he was a perfect example of why brothers and sisters shouldn't marry and have children. Have fun mate, Vegas is mad.
  7. Me and a mate went to Vegas a few years ago on the way to a town called Rachel in Nevada. It's only about an hour away if u hire a car but it's on the Extra-terrestrial highway (375) in the middle of deliverance country and it borders Area 51. Theres a little bar there called the A"le"inn. You might get ar :tsktsk: e raped and thrown down a mine-shaft though, so it's your call.
  8. Yeah, i noticed they were shims. my MK3 escort from when I was a lad had them self adjusting hydraulic ones, you just primed them and popped them in. There's nothing like moving forward eh? Is it to do with finer tolerance with the shims?
  9. My 94 LS has got that as well, you have to put the key in the ignition then press the button on remote, then start the car. Does that sound similar to anyone else's. I too have no paperwork for it but carry a spare battery for the remote in the car, otherwise you're :tsktsk: if your remote battery runs out in the middle of no-where.
  10. Oh hell no, please don't say that now :o , i've just put EBC Greenstuff pads on my LS400 an hour ago. I would say if you've got Mintex discs get Mintex pads too.
  11. The only ES300's i've seen in the US market are nasty camry looking things with Lexus badges on. This motor looks way nicer than them in my opinion.
  12. That car is mint! It does look like an old camry at the back though. If the interior was as comfy as an LS i'd be up for one. I'd like to see it in the flesh. I've just come back from years in Saudi and I spotted a similar LS400 sized car over there called a Nissan Gloria. They are big muthas but have skyline-esque lights at the back. Nice car sh :tsktsk: t name.
