  1. Grom ipod adapter is what you need (assuming you have OEM headunit). Time to put your tunes on an ipod and ditch the CD's... :)
  2. My last set of tyres on the IS200 were the Eagle F1A's- very good tyres, you won't be disappointed.
  3. Link to WIM website WIM= Wheels-in-Motion They are a company that do full geometry setup's for the IS200/300.
  4. My IS200 is 10 years old now and its got a few battle scars- mainly the stonechipped bonnet and front bumper. It's to be expected on a car that's done 139k now- my car spends most of its time on the motorway. I'm in 2 minds whether to replace it or to have the bonnet and front bumper resprayed...
  5. The gearstick has been put back in the wrong way if its hitting the handbrake- take it back and get the garage to take the gearstick out and fit it the right way round. Do they have a slight angle on then? its my friend whos done it, hes never worked on one of these before, so i dont wanna be funny about it. is it much of job do you know mate? You can actually re-fit it yourself, mate. Unscrew the gearknob, pull up the gaitor and you should see some 10mm bolts (I think?) Undo these and pull out the gearstick and put it in the right way. The gearstick should lean towards the driver when in netural.
  6. The gearstick has been put back in the wrong way if its hitting the handbrake- take it back and get the garage to take the gearstick out and fit it the right way round.
  7. One of your brake lights is out- check them out (even the rear windscreen brake light).
  8. Pretty certain amber oil light is low oil (warning to top up the oil) and the red oil light is low oil pressure? Maybe the oil switch/sensor is faulty?
  9. Nice one...good to hear that Out of interest, how many miles has your car done? Mines done 138.5k and its still on the original clutch- no signs of wearing out...
  10. Or how about this one? Cheaper Exedy clutch An Exedy clutch will be fine.
  11. Before we all get confused - does this geometry set up apply to BOTH FRONT and REAR ? Yeah, it does...think on chef's car someone has probably swapped the tyres (front to back/back to front), hence the rear insides are worn...
  12. It'll need a full geometry setup- the IS200 suffers from chronic inner front tyre wear. Only one man can sort this out for you, Tony Bones at Wheels In Motion: Link to WIM website
  13. Buy a grom ipod adapter off ebay- there's loads of threads on here that covers this question.
  14. S/SE models= group 12 Sport= group 13 IS300= group 15
  15. You can get them from FIGS engineering in the US
  16. Be prepared for:- "You need new shocks/tyres/exhaust, sir" I'd avoid crap-fit at all costs.
  17. The oem headunit can be repaired. Google Autosounds in Bradford (West Yorkshire)- they can repair the oem unit for about £250, I think (I've heard that figure been quoted). TBH- why not rip out the factory system and put in a aftermarket/more modern headunit with bluetooth etc? That's what most people do.

    Is 200

Get a new one from Lexus- think they cost about £30.
  19. Use a OEM Toyota oil filter- they don't cost more than a tenner from Toyota/Lexus. Avoid the cheap patterned oil filters, I have heard that they aren't that good. As for the air filter, why not get a K&N panel filter off ebay?
  20. Order some from Lexus- they don't cost much.
  21. P1346 error code I got when I changed my timing belt- the timing was out by 1 tooth. And yes, my car ran without any problems or damage- just the EML was on. Take it back and get the garage to sort it out (at their cost).
  22. I got a K&N filter fitted to my IS200. Main reason I went for one was it lasts longer than the OEM filter- it needs a clean/re-charge every few years I think? You won't notice any improvement in terms of BHP or MPG with a K&N filter.
