  1. Done, after many attempts. Now I feel all lonely because no-one lives anywhere near me. :(
  2. Im going to go against the grain and say I prefer the old one, the new one looks too plasticy, where the old one looks much more well made. But thats just me!
  3. When I got mine I got three keys too, all worked for unlocking and locking. This may be a stupid question, but does the key cut look the same on all the keys?
  4. £50 is much more my kind of price... just a shame that it is only for the front 2.
  5. I've seen quite a few with them and I quite like them. I also hope that they will stop my hair blowing in my face all the time, as it is quite long! Is it really an old fogey mod?
  6. As title says, where may I get some from? Any idea on price too?
  7. Nice vid. The track action looked like fun!
  8. You should be looking at about £80 mate if its in good nick.
  9. I've seen a supercharged AE86 with 140k on it. Still aparently runs mint. A good quality, well built Japanese made engine like the 1G-FE should be fine with a supercharger, especially when it is such a low pressure one like the TTE. Go whack one on her! ;)
  10. I think I know the noise you are referring to, unless you actually know what to listen for its quite hard to hear it from that clip. Mine sounds the same, and so did all the rest of the cars I test drove before I bought my current one. I don't think its anything to worry about.
  11. You certainly won't be returning it. Ive heard great things about them. I still think you should have gone for the Blue Flame though. ;)
  12. Im going to go against the grain and reccomend the Blueflame. Where you only get the rear section with the Kazama (I think) you get a whole 2 pieces from the cat back with the Blueflame (so it comes with a high flow silencer) and it increases the bore all the way back, rather than just from after the silencer. The pipework is also much straighter than if you retain the standard silencer and the Kazama, so you increase the ease of flow.
  13. Damn, there was me thinking it was the answer to all our prayers!
  14. I dont understand... is this a legitimate site? It sure sounds like a great way to get petrol if its real.
  15. Nice one mate, makes me wish I still had mine. If you stick your window down while going along in 3rd gear you should hear the nice noise it makes past 3k. I certainly did :D Oh, make sure you do take those pics!
  16. Oh I see, I totally mis-read that. All I know is about the disputes with the judging as of late.
  17. So surely then would he not be better protesting in one of the D1 rounds in Japan? I highly doubt the judges are going to be there anyway. Isn't that where most of the problem lies?
  18. Wow, all those bits for the 86 should save a bit of weight and I don't just mean from your wallet!
  19. Damn, that was one of the cars I really wanted to see. Oh well, theres still loads of other great cars and drivers. I can't wait for it after the taster at GT Battle.
  20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-LEXUS-IS200-SPO...1QQcmdZViewItem 2003 sport, sat nav, 26k, styling pack, buy it now for 9,700 If thats legit it could well be the best deal of the century.
  21. Just looking on ebay for bits and pieces and found this picture that was used for selling the light brows, but the lip really caught my attention since it looks pretty good but still retains the front bumper. Does anyone know what it is?
  22. Well if it were the wheels I think it would do it all the time, not just when braking. Since it only happens when you brake, I would guess it could be 'warped' disks, almost certainly something brake related, rather than a wheel/balancing issue. But hey, I could be wrong.
  23. 200-300 seems a tad low to me. I wouldn't reset the ecu just yet, since doing that will erase any error codes found and stored there. Low fuel could be a problem, since a lot of crap can settle in the bottom of the tank, especially on cars a few years older. Has it been running better since you put in a fresh tank? It might be best to get it checked out at a garage anyway. Oh, and welcome to the club! ^_^
  24. How low is it idleing? Mine idles at about 500rpm anyway when warmed up. As for the cutting out, I have no idea. Are there any warning lights come on? If the traction control light comes on on the dash or flashes it can be a sign of a coil pack on one of the cylinders going. If there are no other symptoms, maybe you could reset the ecu and give it another go. Older cars / ones with migh milage can sometimes give out smoke at high load - my old 1999 IS200 gave the odd puff at max revs, but didn't cause any problems.
